  If I connect an external monitor to the display quality VGA port is quite poor. It looks like a 'grainy twinkle"(sorry hard to describe).   I have a laptop 756-2887 Aspire One that I'm trying to connect to an external monitor with a monitor Acer X233H using HDMI.  Sometimes it connects without effort and I am able to set up a beautiful double external screen to the laptop using the external analog and HDMI display.

  But sometimes the HDMI display goes on a cycle where it recognized and then down and then is recognized again and it happens over and over again.  In this cycle, a never displays on the monitor.

  I tried to turn on/off things and I can't recognize a pattern that allows to connect me with reliability the HDMI monitor.  The monitor works fine with my desktop and I can plug HDMI with DVI connection show desktop.  The monitor detects a HDMI connection and gives me the computer screen, unless it goes into the cycle of decline.

  Using the Fn keys to change display options did not help either.  Connect an external analog never present the same problem.

  Here is what happened.

  I remembered that during the first time that I managed to successfully install the external HDMI monitor was when I got another second monitor installed as the external VGA monitor.  My hope was therefore a plan of double external monitor to my laptop and I was very impressed that this was possible.

  So I tried to go back to the other external VGA monitor an old HP f70 and it worked!  I was able to correctly connect the HDMI monitor and the f70 to the laptop.  The VGA monitor who did cooperate with the HDMI is Samsung SyncMaster 931 b.  I had also used this Samsung to connect to a DVI port on a desktop computer, and he had therefore two connected cables, DVI and a VGA of the notebook.  I tried to unplug the DVI cable and connecting the VGA and HDMI monitor to the laptop and it worked.  The HDMI monitor display.

  I went to Samsung and got the drivers for this monitor and I find that after installing the drivers, you have the option to install a digital display or analog monitor.  As I was going to just to use the VGA connection, I chose analog.  After you have installed the driver for the Samsung, I was able to plug both the cable DVI and VGA cable on the Samsung and still be able to display on the monitor HDMI.

  The solution was to install the drivers for the analog port of the Samsung monitor.  Who would have done it.  I guess I should have suspected the two cables coming from the Samsung monitor could have done things.

  I have My Documents on my Windows 7 desktop.  When I click the icon, an icon My Documents Shortcut.link then appears next to the My Documents icon.  When I right click on the shortcut icon, my screen started flickering and I mus do a Ctl/Alt/Delete to return to display system and monitor to normal.

  I tried to remove the My Documents icon, but who only 'pretending' in the file recycle.  Of course, I don't want to totally delete the My Documents!

  This result shows that the "My Documents" icon on your desktop is a shortcut and not the actual file with your documents.  The icon on your desktop has a blue arrow, like this:

  

  If you delete this icon, you should get a message like this:

  

  As long as the 'shortcut' word is in the message "Are you sure", everything you delete is a shortcut and not your actual files... so go ahead and delete it.  You can then create a new shortcut or just use the 'Documents' shortcut located on the start menu:

  I just got an old Toshiba Satellite A100-283 and tried to connect it to a TFT 22 ". Somehow, it seems that this laptop graphics card does not support the external screen such as 1920 x 1080 resolutions. I find 16:9 1920 x 1440 resolutions and such but not at all.
  Is - anyone here know if there is a way to get this notebook running on an external display in 16:9?

  You could also checked the settings of display properties (right click on the desktop and properties), go to options and then advanced GeForce 5200...

  I'm having a strange problem with my Satellite L850-1V5 new with card in order to 7670M AMD RADEON HD.
  (It runs windows 8 64-bit family)

  At the beginning I couldn't open the CCC.
  So I uninstalled the program and reinstalled the drivers I found here, on the Web at Toshiba Europe site.
  Now it works well.
  But now I have another problem.

  First, I tried to extend/duplicate(whatever, it does not really matter) my workstation via the VGA port.
  In CTC, I could see that he acknowledged my external monitor model and even the mouse cursor has acted as the Office has been extended.

  BUT
  1. it has no image on the external monitor

  To my knowledge, use the keyboard shortcut to switch to an external monitor.
  AFAIK the F4 (or Fn + F4) changes the output display.

  I want to put in place the video driver Dynadock see the external monitor as primary monitor:
  I have difficulty option 'Mirror', but I can't change the resolution: it is set at 1280 x 1024 but I see 1280 x 800 (as in the laptop monitor) with the large black bars on top/bottom of my screen (losing a part of my screen 19 '')
  I guess if Iget 'turn off' the netbook monitor and adjustment of the external Dynadock monitor as primary monitor, I would see fine at maximum resolution (in the same way as if I connect the external display on the laptop VGA port: it works fine)
  Any suggestion?

  In this mode you cannot set a resolution higher on the monitor station on the inside.

  Have you tried different cables? Maybe it s faulty or too long.

  Also, be sure to use a rate of resolution and refresh supported for the external monitor display. You can change that in Catalyst Control Center.
