Distort images in Illustrator?

Mac OS 10.4.11 - Illustrator CS4.  Is it possible to distort an imported picture, I tried to use the free transform tool and applying the keys Alt/Apple to change the angle of what appears to be a point of distortion. It gives a ghost line that seems to distort albeit more an effect of "shear" distortion of the individual perspective, but on the release back to the square format, it was originally. Without going into the details of the customer unnecessary, I build cubes for kids and I prefer to do that in Illustrator rather than Photoshop.

salochin,

If I understand you in the right way, you can select the image and the selected face of the cube (which should be placed higher in the stacking order, otherwise pecking order) and object > envelope distort > make with top object; You can move the image down by Ctrl / Cmd + X + B.

What she say its fake?

  • Trace of image in Illustrator CC 2015

I need help with the track of the image of "new and improved" functionality in its new version of Illustrator. I absolutely LOVED the trace of the image in Illustrator CS5, but everything since then has been garbage. at least for what I need to.

I need image trace to be able to rotate the image as an attachment in a vector and maintain sharp edges of stairs intervened. CS5 does it perfectly, but no matter what settings I use in the new version, I can't maintain nice strong 90 degrees. I know there are people very well informed in this forum, and I hope someone can shed some light on this issue.

The images I work with are 1-bit bmp files, but I had to convert JPG to post here.

The solution to my problem was just reinstall Illustrator CS5 on my machine, and just use the trace image feature in this version whenever I need.

  • Edit JPEJ images in Illustrator

Jpeg images can be edited in Illustrator? If so, how?

    Hi Wanda,.

Illustrator is not a program like Photoshop for image editing. You may not be able to edit a JPEG file with ease in artificial intelligence, as you can do it in PS. However there is some set of editing, you can do it. Please see the links below for more information:

Usually I can shoot and shrink the text and images in Illustrator. Twice now, I've lost this ability. Can I change the size of the text, but the area around the text disappeared. It is only pointed out, I can't enter the end and push it to fit, I can't enter the corner and stretch to fit. Even for images, I can't change them, I can move them only once they have been placed. Usually I press SHIFT and click on a corner and scale or no change and change size and shape everything as I wish. What is going on??

Probably hit the toggle to show/hide the bounding box is (Ctrl) Cmd - Shift - B. Some other programs use this to activate fake "BOLD".

  • Image in Illustrator for Muse

I created an image in Illustrator and exported as a .png for Muse, but the problem is that when I reduce the size loses much of its resolution. It's a drawing created entirely in Illustrator. I am surprised because I did several times and it never happened. Can someone explain to me what is happening?

You can place PNG images in Muse. But PNG images, like the other image as JPEG GIF pixel formats & have fixed resolutions. Only, they look good when their pixels map with the grid of pixels on a computer screen or other device look a the layout. If you zoom in the page layout, Muse or in the web browser of the PNG image pixels is more matching with the pixels of the screen of the computer. That's why you get the irregulars or looking for blurry images.

If you want to use graphics that can be zoomed, using vector graphics as an SVG. Vector art saved in SVG can be resized to any size on a web page layout and zoom in at all levels and still appear razor.

  • 'place' blurry images Photoshop Illustrator - at check in .pdf file?

I edited some images in Photoshop for use in a .pdf file I created in Illustrator.

In PS, images was beautiful and have been registered with the following parameters: .jpg/CMYK/Image Options: 10/Maximum. I have "placed" in the Illustrator file, everything was always wonderful, but I exported all of the .pdf file, the pictures came out blurry.

The resolution is 300 dpi for images of three, all pixels of 170 x 100, which is also the size, they are used to in Illustrator.

I note also that during the "placement" images in Illustrator, regardless of the type of file, the images are invariably much smaller that originally saved as. It's never happened before.

Any ideas on how to have clean images, in the PDF?

Things, I tried with no sign of improvement:

Standard, high quality print and print quality save settings

Save images as .jpg, .tiff, .psd in Photoshop to place in Illustrator

'Link' and no 'link' when you place it in Illustrator

Save images 2 x and 3 x the size in Photoshop to reduce in Illustrator

And a cap perforated how I'm viewing the PDF with the images at 100% in Acrobat:

    Screen shot 2012-09-29 at 5.17.09 PM.png

The quality is affected by their scaling upwards - at least if that's what you were doing with the placed files.

170px wide at 300 dpi works be 0,5667 inches wide. Did you leave them this size or you increase their width/height?

If you resize them, what size do you want in the publication? Let's say that you want them to be 2 "wide. 2 inches x 300 DPI is 600px wide at 300 dpi.

    Take care, Mike

Edit to add * using my desired example 2 "width, if we place a 170px 300 dpi image, enlarged width 2", the effective DPI is approximately 83 dpi.

  • Place Images in Illustrator are blurred.

Hello I have this problem in CS5 that any type of image or line art are always blurred. All my work is for print and maybe just the overview is fuzzy, but I'm afraid that the impression will be bad.

More graphic, in that I bring you come from Photoshop CS5. I make sure you are 300 DPI to start and they recently learned that they should not be in RGB but CMYK mode.

The images that I should also mention when placed are very small and I scale to be in the right size. I don't know why they do not place in their original size. So, basically, it's small size and blur.

Any help on this matter is sensitive. I am new to Illustrator and want to learn more about him, because it seems to be a great tool to use for printing.

    Thank you

    Victor

I think that the solution to your problem starts in photoshop. Most printers require 2 X lpi (lines per inch) resolution and the most common screen is 150 lpi (133 or 175 are the next most common), so therefore 300 dpi (dots per inch) standard resolution requirement. Open your image in photoshop > Image > image size > uncheck resample image > change your resolution at 300 dpi, if it is not, and save. I bolded that cause thath setting is very important, and you should familiarize yourself intimately with hwo everthing in the works of image size. This deactivation will not add or remove pixels, but will adjust the size of your image if you change the 300 dpi.

Now when you place the image in Illustrator, you will know that your image is exactly 300 dpi. If you resize your image smaller, no problem your effective resolution will be > 300 DPI and which never hurts. If you resize your larger image in Illustrator, then you know that your resolution will be less than 300 dpi. Now, you can better assess the quality of your reproduction of the image.

  • Can't place images in Illustrator CS6...

I can't import images into Illustrator CS6. Drag does not work. "Place" command does not work. Any ideas? I uninstalled and reinstalled.

I think it's the new FontExploerer Plugin, I've disabled, and it works.

  • Extra space when I export images in Illustrator cs6

How can I get rid of the white around my images border when I export? I have tried to make a mask for clipping, but for some reason, when I export a photo format, I get this weird white uneven border around the images that did not exist before that I exported it.

When you export images from illustrator, you must always select 'Use of work plans' when the export dialog appears.

  • Import of images - not illustrated - only broken fram icon problem

    Hi guys

Im trying to import illustrations in livecycle - im images in illustrator and export as BMP images.

When I try to import into my livecycle form (create the frame of the image, select BMP in office) all I get is a grey icon broken chassis.

I see that BMP is a supported image file type, so an ideas of what is happening well wrung out here?

ID be grateful for pointers (once again... Thanks guys) as im hoping to create most of my topics or game type in illustrator, it slams into forms such as images - so if anyone knows what's wrong - could point me to a decent tut etc it would be greatly appreciated.

Im hoping this is just being dumb.

also, while asking im - vector art can be introduced in livecycle? -I did not see that he supported - guess you could be at the size to agree and then export as bitmap? but then I would get gray sampling error

    Help...

    see you soon

example (randomly) attached BMP does not

I will not be able to use your image either.

If I convert it to another format (ex: jpg) it works fine. If I open and save again (save in bmp format) it works fine, but your image will not work.

The only difference between your orinal bmp and mine is the color depth. Yours is 65K mine is 16. 7 m, but I see no difference.

Anyway, the image is in the attached files section.

According to the vector information, discover 3D 8.2 components and versions of livecycle, maybe they will do what you want.

  • Illustrator CC 2015 - placed free distortion image

I have some difficulties to distort a picture I placed in Illustrator (more precisely, distorting a screenshot to fit to the form of a blank screen). In the past, I was able to manipulate the corners independently, but now (did not have to do this HAVE for a long time) when I make the adjustments he always snaps back to its original position when I release the mouse. Surely I'm on something simple here. Any ideas? Thank you.Screen Shot 2016-03-16 at 1.50.59 PM.png

It's easier to do in photoshop, then you might remember that he as pole often do.

    In Illustrator

    1. Select image > links page layout > integrate image
    2. Place a copy of the full white shape for the screen on top of the image
    3. with white form and the image selected, choose object > envelope distort > make with the top object.
  • Safari has strongly distorted image

I feel the distortion of the odd image with a single image on a single website in Safari. I was not able to reproduce with other browsers or other images, but that doesn't happen very often, so I don't know if it's just Safari.

    The site is www.laurensdressuur.be.

I've had my laptop repaired the month last for the typical problems of the MacBook Pro GPU, and I was hoping it would solve so. There is clearly no. I wonder what causes this. Is this software or hardware?

If only one particular site is affected, it may be a software problem.

If you have not already done this, go step by step and test.

    1 empty Caches

    Safari > Preferences > advanced

Tick the box "Show develop menu in menu bar."

Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.

Click on develop and select 'Empty cache' in the menu dropdown.

2 remove the Cookies and test them.

Safari > Preferences > privacy > Cookies and other data from the website:

    Click on the button "Details".

Delete all cookies except those from Apple, your internet service provider and the banks.

3 Disable Extensions and test them.

    Safari > Preferences > Extensions

Select Disable all extensions and test them.

Enable the Extensions one by one and test.

To uninstall any extension, select it and click the "Uninstall" button

  • toDataURL("image/jpeg") production distorted images

I do an application that allows the user to crop an image taken with the phone or selected from the system files using HTML5 canvas. The jpeg base64 resulting however, often has distortion, discoloration or pixelation on the lower part of the image and I don't know why.

I checked the image on the canvas has no distortion and I also took the base64 string produced and pasted into web converters to verify that this is a problem with the base64 string produced.

The problem does not occur for png and I only did it for OS6 and 7 so far.

    Any ideas?

After literally 50 tries to get the autoloader to connect to my dev alpha, he installed finallly.

And now it seems that questions of the canvas are set, as well as sticking a bunch of base64 in the src of an img tag.

I have to have 10.2 being the minimum for the update.
