distorted audio iphone 5se

My phone calls are very distorted on the new iphone 5se. I reset my phone to factory settings and did a reinstall of software, etc. Any help would be appreciated. I also visited an Apple store in Charleston, SC, and they said, nothing was wrong, but there is! I have people at the other end of my calls say that I look too distorted.

Two options you can try:

If you can - disable LTE for voice and retain it for data only

Try another SIM card if your operator can provide you with a

Finally, check with your carrier and see if there is an update of the new phone support

  • iPhone 5se

I just got an iphone 5se and when I connect it to my mac I get a message that says: he can't use this phone because it doesn't have the latest version of itunes.

Whats up with that? Please help thanks

You need to upgrade your operating system to at least 10.8 to get the latest version of iTunes. If you want to upgrade, consider El Capitan.

Make sure your computer is compatible with Lion mountain, Mavericks, Yosemite, El Capitan.

To check the model number and hold the option/Alt hold, go to the Apple menu and select system information.

IMac (mid-2007 or newer) model number 7.1 or higher

MacBook (late 2008 or early 2009 or newer aluminium) model number 5.1 or higher El Capitan requires early 2015

MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) model number 3.1 or later version

    Your Mac needs:

Installation of OS X 10.6.8 or OS X Lion

2 GB or more of memory (more is better - minimum 4 GB seems to be the consensus)

8 GB or more of available space

Check to make sure that your applications are compatible. PowerPC applications are no longer supported after 10.6.

Also make sure there is a compatible driver for your printer.

Make a backup before installing, preferable 2 backups on 2 different disks.

One solution is to create a new partition (~ 30-50 GB), install the new OS, and 'test' it. Otherwise as/like it, you can then remove the partition. Make a backup before doing anything. By doing this, if you don't like it you don't go well the recovery process.

Open utility disk, select your hard drive (step 1), then the partition (step 2) tab and select the partition. Using of the / / / to the low blow it upwards (step 3) until the box the size decreases by about 50 GB. Select the newly created space and press the button (step 4). Name it something and choose Mac OS extended (journaled) format (step 5). Then click on the button apply (step 6). Download the installation program from the App Store and when it starts, point it to the new partition. You can make a copy of the installer out of the Applications folder to avoid having to re - download in the future. One time installed, go to System Preferences/Startup Disk, select the new partition and restart. Test now.

  • moves the screen iPhone 5se

MY screen for the iPhone 5se movements on its own (usually the opposite). If I Zoom in, we zoomed out but it does this several times quickly until I raise my finger. Occurs when I'm clicking down then it clicked and when I scroll down, but it scrolls upward. Happens usually when apps like safari, the clash of clans, Royal clash, etc.. And I don't know if using my phone while charging the problem because usually it happens more often when my phone is touch while charging.

That sounds like a hardware problem. Your iPhone is brand new, so you can always take it to Apple, the Apple Store for further diagnosis.

  • Best way to transfer the content of s/iOS5 4, iPhone to new iPhone 5SE/iOS9?

Hello! I have an iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1.1 s and wish to transfer its contents to a new iPhone 5SE (when I get it).  Is this possible on an Apple Store? From a backup?  What is the version of iTunes minimum required for synchronization with iOS9?  Thank you!

    David Elliott wrote:

12.3.2 iTunes is the minimum version.  (The current version is iTunes 12.3.3).

Restore a backup of your old unit to the new.

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

Moreover, you will find much more simple peripheral future transitions if you keep your current Apple software (by applying the software of Apple's software updates as soon as they are available).

  • Audio iPhone 7 and high resolution

    Hi-

Thinking of buying iPhone 7.  I notice that the DAC is now external to the phone for headphones cable good lightning and even lightning to the 3.5 mm adapter contains a small DAC inside.

What this means that iPhone 7 accepts high resolution audio files? (I'm talking about 24 bits, files of 192,000 kHz with flow rates up to about 9 216 kbps, like the ones you can buy Pono music or other titles HD).

The Apple store now sells items such as the helmet Planar Audeze with high quality converters.

Has anyone tried this yet?  It may convince me to upgrade my iPhone 6.  (I currently use one of those Toblerone shaped players Pono for hi res music).

    Hi there, Phlac!

Thank you for joining the communities Support from Apple! It's a big question about the audio formats supported by iPhone 7. See this link which has the Technical Specifications for iPhone 7.

    Audio playback

    • Audio formats supported: AAC (8 to 320 Kbps), AAC protected (from iTunes Store), HE - AAC, MP3 (8 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Dolby Digital (AC-3), Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC-3), Audible (formats 2, 3, 4, Audible Enhanced Audio, AAX, and AAX +), Apple Lossless, AIFF, and WAV
    • The user configurable maximum volume limit

Any audio that works perfectly with the iPhone 7 falls in these formats! Have a great day!

    I try to record audio.

I tried to use the Zoom r 16. But the audio is distorted.
At first, I thought that the zoom interface is broken, but when I use it in standalone mode and record on a SD card, all right.
I tried updating to the latest version of the driver, but it does not solve my problem.

I then tried to use an audo usb adapter in a headset that I had laying around. I have pluged in the entrance to the microphone jack, but the problem was still there.

I tried to use presonus studio one and then tried the same thing in GarageBand - same problem.

I'm starting to believe it's a problem with el capitan.

Are you sure that the Audio configuration utility and noon has a frequency of supported by the input for the recording device?  If you mismatch the frequency, the distortion is common.

Also if you use omnidirectional audio input devices keyboard sounds snap at the start of the heater vents outside can often enter into the record.    Perhaps an input device more focused is needed as the limits of entry where comes from.

  • 9.1 Bluetooth iOS buzzing audio iPhone 6s

I discovered a bug in the iOS 9.1, tested on 2 iPhone 6 and one of 6 s.

    1. connect your iPhone 6 or 6 s with a bluetooth device that has the ability to power off stop. This means that you can turn off the bluetooth device and the phone does not recognize that the bluetooth device is off immediately (the bluetooth on your phone icon remains on for approximately 10 seconds before turning gray)

2 time connected, put off the bluetooth device

3 do anything that causes the phone to read the audio data. I do generally is lock and unlock the phone several times (which closes 'click' to get out of the usually bluetooth speaker)

    4. once the bluetooth turns off, the audio is corrupted. Play almost any audio will cause a buzz or silence (depending on what is the first sound of the audio). Telephone call tones are a constant buzz. Some audio sounds are OK, but generally any video or music this failure causes.

Only solution to fix I found is to restart the phone.

I took my nine 6s at the genius bar, they suggested for re - configure the phone as a new device. After erasing all data from the phone, with the technique above, I was able to get the device exhibit the same behavior, this isn't my software. On my previous iPhone 6, I had the same problem (but did not know the trigger), and I just tried my brother 6 iPhone and could get the same thing happen. I repeated the behavior for multiple devices bluetooth audio.

Has anyone seen this problem? Can you repeat the steps above and get it to happen?

How to report to Apple as they can fix? This should be a very reproducible problem. Should I take another genius bar appointment to demonstrate the problem? Obviously, it is not my phone, so I can't get a new one that solves the problem.

  • The audio volume with Windows XP Pro. Result of the SP3 distorted audio recorder?

    Hello.

Is it me or don't drop result audio volume of my WAV in a Windows XP Pro update. SP3 sound recorder? Is this a bug in this program or something else?

Also, does anyone know a good free audio program that will make lots more low audio volume in a bunch old WAV files? One is a pain in the abdomen end-to-end. :(

Thank you in advance. :) Ant @ Ant links fed quality (http://aqfl.net) and The Ant Farm (http://antfarm.ma.cx).

Audacity will do what you want - a good. Its freeware and is a full blown audio editor. You need to normalize your track and to use a negative value to reduce the volume.

    http://Audacity.sourceforge.NET/

One thing though: If your wav file already has a built-in distortion (that is to say "clipping" - when some parts of the song go above 0 dbl and so distort) nothing you do will get rid of the break of the said.

You can see this by looking at the waveform track in Audacity. Is there is no flat areas where there should be highs, and they are above 0dbl then your track is cut off and there is a high risk of distortion. Is there is no flat areas (only the peaks) then your track should be ok (as long as they are not above 0dbl) and you can 'normalize' it.

Try Googling "normalize batch file" (or similar), you can find what you want.

    See you soon,.

  • XPS 13 9350 - USB DAC - severely distorted Audio

    Hi all

I'm playing a DAC USB files DXD (352.8 kHz FLAC) and I'm getting intermittent severe distortions which, to me, looks like a problem of USB transmission caused by the DPC latency. My configuration is:

    -Earn 10 Pro
    -jRiver MC21
-Mojo chord connected via USB using rope ASIO driver 1.05
-Alternatively AudioQuest Dragonfly 2 (downsampling to 88.2 kHz samplerate)

I get distortion with the two DACS, which suggests a problem with the XPS 13 HW or SW. I disabled "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" for USB3 Intel eXtensible Host Controller and USB (xHCI) root hub, but that has not solved the problem.

Power management is set to high performance, under Advanced settings, I put USB selective suspend setting to disabled.

Check for latency DPC and latency LUNS do show any question and a list of the PC as being capable of streaming audio in real time.

The problem disappears if I chose in jRiver direct sound driver. It occurs the same if I chose the ASIO, the WASAPI and core drivers streaming.

The problem does not occur on a HP zbook 15u.

Someone else has a similar problem and no matter who solved?

I don't know if you've ever thought about it or went nuts perhaps, but I had the same problem and have found a workaround. I have a XPS15 9550 and had the same problem with the Mojo. I bypassed by disabling C-States (the processor sleep state) in the BIOS. This will reduce the battery life to a certain extent, but now the DAC works without a hitch.

  • Badly distorted audio CD

Windows 7 pro with HP Comaq 6200 giving badly distorted playback music CD, DVD and Youtube are very good.  Nothing does withdraw as bad.

Is this by chance a Warner Bros. disc? A bunch of them (and associated WB companies) were protected against copying and are unplayable on PC over XP - it are supposed to be some tips which work around it, but I was not able to make an any of them work on W7.

The only other possibility is that you have "improvements" on your audio in WMP (right-click in the space in the pane 'Now Playing' to see improvements if one is on - disable)

  • distortion audio dv5-1122eg

    Hello

In recent months, I'm stalking of audio distortions on my Pavilion dv5-1122eg laptop.

    P/N: NE679EA #ABD

The notebook was pre-installed with Windows Vista Edition Home Premium x 86, but changed to a new installation of Windows 7 Professional x 64 2010 new year.

When I hear a music file or an internet radio, I sometimes get these audio distortions.

Not always, but for example after 20 minutes, I get then one or two ' audio scratches "then maybe again normal play 10 minutes and then again a few scratches. A 'scratch' takes maybe 1/10th of a second.

In my opinion, the distortion of the sound is produced in this way, the IDT sound card gets a broken audiostream (not more new entrants sound samples) and try to reread the last audio samples of its input buffer. Its sounds like you have a scratch on a vinyl record.

After reading a few posts from this forum, I started to study more, on this issue, using the tool 'DPC latency checker.

By turning off all devices in the Device Manager I found out that the Atheros AR5009 WiFi card and JMicron JMB38x card there reader producing latencies of 2ms up to 10 ms.

Frankly the audio distortion seems not to be produced by WiFi or the card reader.

Now, the best thing! During sound distortions, I always saw DPC latency greater than 100 ms, but I couldn't really identify which device produced these huge CPD points. (Reminding me only that the "scratch" sound distortion make almost the same amount of time.)

So I goggled of a tool to consult more these DPC latency. So, I gave the "Windows Performance Toolkit" from the Windows 7 SDK a try.

After reviewing the data produced from the xperf.exe in the "Windows performance monitor" I chose the CPD huge spikes and opened the Table summary of them.

In addition, it seems that the scsiport.sys & storport.sys produce this huge spikes!

After all it would be a problem with the SATA controller, since the apears to DVD & HD player a list of SCSI in Device Manager. I also use the "AMD AHCI Compatible RAID controller driver" of the Support & drivers.

I also use v5.4.3.2 Virtual Clone Drive to read some ISO files, but I uninstalled them for a month (but there is always the VClone.sys in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\).

So before making a little further I ask if there is a known problem with SCSI or SATA on Windows 7 x 64?

My next steps would be to others:

Delete all other things in Virtual Clone Drive (e.g. VClone.sys) and perhaps restore the scsiport.sys with my DVD of Windows 7 Windows Repair Console.

    Edit:

Today, I used another tool that could be found in C:\Windows\System32\. It's called "Verifier" (simply type in Start-> auditor + Enter).

I leave then run it on all the drivers on my system, that were not of Microsoft.

It seems that my current drivers are all stable rock. I don't have no BSOD when running Driver Verifier.

But I discovered that my Avira AntiVir where also the use also 2 drivers (avgntflt.sys & avipbb.sys). These are not normally listed in Device Manager.

As always on Sunday at 11:00 my AntiVir began a search of virus. In the background, I also ran the DPC latency checker, and there he goes...

While AntiVir where looking for the virus latency Checker showed me the upper tips of 400ms!

Now that was also remind me that AntiVir has also a 'Guard' still active scanner.

So I simply uninstalled the program Avira AntiVir and tested more away while listening to music files if distortions where still there. Well, it seems that they have decreased a lot, but there are still a few witch random sound distortions are much shorter!

It seems that while Avira AntiVir as an x 86 application can run properly on a x 64 OS, drivers 'scan' provided by Avira are somewhat foires for it.

So I recommend to all those who have sound distortions on a Windows x 64 operating system check by installing antivirus program!

I now use Microsoft Security Essentials, which is an application of true x 64 for the moment.

Yet there is no complete solution, I consider more on this subject.

    Hello

I found the solution by myself!

Random DPC latency tips (~ 100 ms) disappeared after I returned from the ' AMD AHCI Compatible RAID Controller Driver ' originally from Microsoft "Standard AHCI 1.0 Compatible SATA Controller'' pilot!

    Follow these steps:

    1. Press the Windows key, the 'device manager' type and select Device Manager.
    2. In Device Manager, look for AMD AHCI Compatible RAID Controller Driver and select it.
    3. Right-click on it and choose Uninstall. Response message with Yes and restart the computer.
    4. After Windows has restarted, it should recognize your hard drive and ask another reboot.

In the device manager should now be a 'Standard AHCI 1.0 Compatible SATA Controller"under"IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller. With this driver, everything must be executed very well!

No more huge DPC spikes Besides these product the WiFi card.

And finally no more don't sound distortion !

Other information (not required for the solution):

Since the notebook dv5-1122eg is based on the platform of "Puma" to AMD (Griffin CPU + RS780M + SB700) I tried to install the new drivers from the http://game.amd.com site.

AMD is making it very difficult to find the AHCI driver, and it seems that they raise their site with a new design where you even can not find the "Drivers of AMD Southbridge" package more!

I tried the Catalyst 10.6 "AHCI Driver" because it is illogical to use a RAID driver on a notebook where you can not even put an extra hard drive in it!

After I downloaded the file, I have to extract the contents to the folder by default, but abandoned then the ATI Installation Manager.

The Installation Manager has not recognized the SB700 southbridge AHCI controller! So I have to do it manually through the Device Manager, select the controller AHCI and update the device driver by choosing a custom location (the already extracted files).

The new driver is presented as "AMD SATA Controller", is bugs (DPC latency) and S.M.A.R.T. readings also work.

To enable the NCQ feature, go to the branch of the registry:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\amdsbs\Settings\CAM\

and set the "NCQEnableDiskIDBits" value to 00000001.
