distortion in sound and videos

Hello

I have a question about the quallity of the media on my laptop, regarding the two sounds, graphics and audio and video gliching crashes. They seem to happen at the same time, so I think that there is a connection beween two of them. The specifications of my laptop are:

Hewlett-Packard HP ENVY 17 Notebook - Intel Core i7-4700MQ 2.40 GHz - 64 bit

I use my NVIDIA GeForce GT M 740 video card mainly, but I tried to pass the other standard video Intel(r) HD 4600 Graphics card.

I use this laptop for a few months now for school (I use a fairly heavy, inventor 3D design program), music, movies and games. And so far he lived completely to my expectations, I am a very happy user but these noises and distortions are killing me. They occur with both my headphones and without (just the speakers on my laptop) every 5 seconds. My laptop which carries with pride brand Beats Audio (I honestly don't think that guaranteed everything about audio quallity, it is just so should happened to be on the laptop that had caught my attention.)

Now I have done a little research on the subject, after trying basic solutions like reinstalling my audio drivers and in generally looking up previous updates and checking the log, and I found this tread: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=4&ved=0CFoQFjAD&url=http%3A%2F%2Fen.community.dell.com%2Fsupport-forums%2Flaptop%2Ff%2F3517%2Ft%2F19412515.aspx&ei=OIvVUsHDN6TL0AX41IGYBA&usg=AFQjCNEF5QG2-uhgoekILJj4sg3AkGCxLA&sig2=DFhmuI-Ql0SruXabCR7d4w. People quite comparable expiriencing of problems with another model of laptop, but it does not appear as a solution had been found. I found a few other threats that suggested it might have something to do with windows. but using Windows 8 not proven to be sufficient to solve the problem.

Can you maybe help me on this matter?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hello. Yes, we found a solution for the thread you linked to. All the solutions that we (the owners of portable) found are listed in the FAQ Audio Choppy/jump. Solutions are listed about newest to oldest and by model. You are probably not familiar with the names of model Dell so I'll tell you that Dell seems to get a handle on these problems, or Microsoft is, because none of the newer models are on the list. Lately, we have not seen these types of symptoms.

The solution to the problem, you logged is explained under the heading "Inspiron 1545 and 1750", but also apply to many other models too. However, this seems to have been fixed. I doubt that it applies to your new HP laptop, but if you look through the alternatives, you might see something that will help you.

Have you tried on an HP forum yet?

    Hello Matt,

No, sorry, we do not support remotely. If you want, and are able, you can always do a video or take snapshots of your desktop and post a link to them here. A lot of people do.

Another thing to try that I had some success with is download and install a new set of codecs. This is the 64 Bit freeware game that I use on my bench, give it a try: http://download.cnet.com/K-Lite-Codec-Pack-64-bit/3000-13632_4-75157090.html (make sure to use the Direct download link).

Keep me posted and let me know how you fare.

I doubt that this is related to electricity. The gel is the good thermal indicator overheating therefore, you get distorted sounds. When was the last time you clean your system entries? If those who are very good, this would mean that you experience hardware failure of the video chipset.

  • [SOLVED] "High Definition Audio Controller" could not be started. "No audio devices installed." The Device Manager has no controller "Sound and video game. Information system has nothing under "audio devices".

    Hello

I've had my laptop for 2 or 3 years, and the sound was always very well. Yesterday morning my computer came suddenly with the sound with a red X icon. She was not dumb, and yet no sound came. The sound options show that no audio or recording devices are installed (for disabled AND disconnected devices). There is no 'of sound devices or video game"in Device Manager. Information system shows no information (empty) under its device. However, in Device Manager, under system devices, "High Definition Audio Controller" has a yellow caution icon and cannot start.
I have not installed a new OS or anything recently.
    I have a Dell Inspiron 1545
    Windows 7 Home Premium
    Service Pack 1 (6.1.7601 Build 7601)
    Pentium Dual-Core CPU
    64-bit operating system
    I tried:
    • Relocation and reactivation of "High Definition Audio Controller". I rebooted. No change.
    • Go to the Dell website, download audio drivers for my label service and installation. We decompress in the drivers folder and nothing happens. One will be unzip, try to take me by another plant for IDT Audio and then say 'the hardware found is not supported by this IDT' and is abandoned. I rebooted. No change.
    • Install drivers in safe mode. I rebooted. No change.
    • In administrative tools > Services, I found "Windows Audio". He had started and was on "auto". Six of its dependencies (3 parents, 3 children) had started and were to "automatic".
    • I looked at the system restore. There was a "critical update" this morning here. I restored to a point before update and restarted. No change.
    • Looked in the BIOS for an option on the sound, but could not find one. Restore the BIOS default and rebooted. No change.
    • Ran Microsoft Fix It I rebooted. No change.
    • By clicking on the audio task bar icon runs the diagnostic window thing. It detects a problem with the description: "material changes may not have been detected.
    • Put on the headphones. Nothing changes.
I'll probably have to do a fresh install, am I not?
I would be very grateful if you could help, thanks.
    Jerome

    Right, I fixed it myself.

So I uninstalled "High Definition Audio Controller".
But this time, instead of just turning it back on and let it install it himself, I clicked on "Analysis of the hardware changes" (under the Action). He finds that a new device called PCI something under other devices.

Then I open up Windows Update and click on search for new updates (it also analyzes the drivers) and I think it just automatically reinstall "controller Audio high definition" and then there was no problem of yellow warning sign thing.

If it does not, simply play in Device Manager with looking for changes on the hardware and the update of bollocks.

If you're still stuck, try "Add inherited harware" (this will install an OLD device), click Advanced, click on "sound devices" and video games, wait a while, find a suitable device and continue the process...

  • How to remove the offset between sound and video

    Hello

(excuse me for my English first)

I am a novice in Adobe Media Encoder and Premiere Pro, and I have a problem with a delay between the sound and the video.

My original media is a video file of 3 GB MP4 (play disc) and when I want to work with him on the first, the sound is delayed, or sometimes in advance compared to the video. You know the problem.

So I tried to encode the original video with AMEncoder in a large number of format 1080 p, 29, 30 frames per second, 60 frames per second, audio to 48 kHz, 192 kbps, 44 kHz 320kpbs... etc...

And nothing, still the same problem of delay.

Please help me to find a real solution, because I'm tired of these problems.

Many applications of game capture record using the Variable Frame Rate that doesn't work well at first. A free application like Handbrake can convert the source file into a new file with constant rate and then use this new file to edit with Premiere.

  • Problems with HP laptop Pavilion dv7-5004tx with the sound and video is this laptop being recalled?

    Hello I desperately need help.

I have a laptop HP Pavilion dv7-5004tx, which is about a month.

It's a really highy specced machine, 8 GB mem 1 GB card video etc.

The problem is that when it video or audio playe he stutter along. I sent to hp about this problem and they do not come back to me? It is currently running windows 7 64 bit home edition.

The model number does not exist when I search the site of HP?

I noticed on some laptop computer review sites that it was be recalled, but it was the only information I could get. No specefics.

I would really appreciate help from anyone out there? It seems as if HP tries to hidden it? There is no information about this laptop on any one of these sites (that I could find) and model number doesent exist on their site either.

I think I have found a solution to my stuttering audio and video playback. I disabled the HP 3d drivegaurd software and so far it seems fine. After a search in any of the HP forums support I discovered a number of people have had similar problems with various portable computers HP.

The solution seems to be to disable the car care software? HP aware of this and they do nothing to solve the problems with the drivegaurd software?

  • HP laptop with win. 7 pro - sound and video hang up or drag when you play videos on Web sites

My wife and I have a laptop HP with Windows 7 Pro, and this problem happens on both computers.  When we try to watch a video either on youtibe or any other website the video and sound lags or crashes and then plays for a few seconds and then it even once.  Does anyone know whatt could cause this?  And how to fix it?  Thank you!

    Hello

    Try the following.

First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your desktop.

    Flash Player Uninstaller.

Once the download is complete, close all browser windows and start the program uninstaller.  Once done, restart the laptop.

Then, download and install Firefox , then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash. Note: You can deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before download.

Close all browser windows before you run the installer of Flash.

Start Firefox and see if the video play Ok - if they do, close Firefox, open Internet Explorer and click on the same link Adobe Flash above to get a command prompt to install the ActiveX component.  Once completed, restart Internet Explorer.

If you still get the problem of loading, run a check of the speed of your internet connection by using a site like the one on the link below, where it is causing the problem.

  • Sound distortion with sounds and Windows streaming media

First of all, I'm not very technical minded, so please excuse my attempts to describe it!

A few weeks ago, the sound on my laptop became distorted - metal kind of high, very "rough" and nasty high-pitched squeal kind of like your comments. Happens on all Windows sounds, on the media (like YouTube) streaming, but WMP works fine so I know it isn't a problem of speaker, need software.

Just before this happened, I tried to download and install Skype, but couldn't get my microphone to work. I then uninstalled Skype. I also installed Spyware Doctor from PCTools, but there were some conflicts when he tried to run scheduled scans, three times, I started my computer to find the message "your system has recovered from a serious error" (I also have Norton Antivirus and Windows Defender running). So I uninstalled Spyware Doctor.

I tried to find info online on this and have since downloaded and run CCleaner. I also downloaded and re-installed the Realtek driver for my sound card, but I still have this problem. All tips are welcome!

Very beautiful ;) Thanks for this useful info.

  • Need drivers for the game controller, Microsoft sounds and videos

I did something crazy. While trying to remove any driver annoying inderteminant that prevented my midi interface to work, I deleted all the Microsoft Sound, video and drivers game in my device manager controller, thinking that I would like to get them back to a reboot. That's how it usually works, it is not. Boy was I fooled. Restore the system to an earlier date no longer works. I guess I have to somehow download the drivers and reinstall them if I understand where to buy and how to install them. Does anyone know how to get back them. And put them in. I have windows 7 with SP1 on a HP Pavilion model p6 - c 2037.

The 6 drivers that I deleted were as follows:

    1, Microsoft Streaming Clock Proxy,

2, Microsoft streaming quality Manager Proxy,

    3, Microsoft Streaming Service Proxy,

    4, Microsoft Streaming Tee/receiver-to-Sink Converter,

5, Microsoft Streaming Tee/receiver-to-Sink Converter, (no, this isn't a typo in that it listed twice)

6, Microsoft makes confidence Audio drivers.

    Hello

    Sorry for the delay.

The problem is gone because I have re-installed Windows 7 and then I discovered through DPC latency Checker that my Antivirus (Avast Internet Security) has been the cause of the problem he was creating explosions of constantly high latency. The fact that the Antivirus has been 'real time' to make disturbance, Malwarebytes is not always the cause high latency.
