  Four things are needed for the transparent icon backgrounds:

  (1) Control Panel > system properties > advanced > Performance settings > VisualEffects - check "use shadows for icon labels.
  (2) make a right click on desktop-> rearrange icons by > lock Web items must be deleted.
  (3) If you have any web content on your desktop, transparency won't work. To search for web content: display properties > Desktop > Customize Desktop > Web - make sure that all check boxes are clear.

  To help you to propose measures to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:

  1. don't icons open programs correct?

  2. you have any antivirus installed on the computer program?

  You can try the steps and check if it helps.

  1 Control Panel / System / Advanced / Performance tab / button settings and tick: shadows fall to use the desktop icon labels.

  So something I didn't consider was that it could be a setting in office documents. The reason why I do not consider this was cause we tested several docs and had similar results each time. I returned and examined this possibility and found a setting in word that was causing this problem. Although the word doc showed no color page when opened in word, if I went to the "Page Layout"-> 'Color of Page', a shade of blue was chosen. By selecting "no color", then convert / combining documentation in PDF format, we have achieved the desired result. Thanks again for your response!

  I've seen generally that when there is no data to display, maybe no spatial index?
  You should review the mapviewer log file and look for errors generated. What happens if you return your theme in mapbuilder, it works there?
  You say exactly what you are doing, what your data etc.

  Where are you seeing this?  I use the latest build (12.3.2.35) on Windows 64-bit edition 10 and don't see "horrible unreadable blue background" anywhere.

  Try the following:
  Right click on "My Computer"-> properties-> (Advanced tab)->
  Then click on 'Settings' in the section 'Performance '.
  Then click on "Custom" and make sure that in the window below (you may need to scroll) that there is a tick next to "shadows fall to use the desktop icon labels.

Yesterday, at about 16:00 so I was working, the display turned blue and had white diagonal dashes filling from the top to the bottom left on blue background.  I disconnected the power, removed the battery and pressed the start 30 seconds button like I usually do when strange things happen, but now when I turn on, just the lights above the keyboard, not the fan turns, not become sound discs to work.   I left off during the night and tried to start with a zero the device response.   It of kaput or not?  What can I do?

  If you get absolutely nothing on the screen at startup, including the Logo of the manufacturer, it really looks like a hardware problem.

  Two immediate things:

  (1) for your main problem replace drawFocus nothing to do:

  (2) onUnfocus is not always called by the framework (it's a bug I've seen several versions of BlackBerry OS). You are much better to use FieldChangeListener for switching of bitmaps depending on the State concentrate/blurry.
