  I suspect that there is a misconfiguration of the dns.

  I configured according to deployment guides, SRV records and has to point my public IP

  I try to question my DNS from the outside, nslookup and utility dig, query returns OK

  I do not know well Bind9 and I don't understand why calls are not received in the form [email protected] / * /

  I have a South, VCS in the DMZ, and I am facing a problem with the SRV DNS records.

  VCS Expressway Hostname:-VCSe

  Domain: example.com

  FULL VCSE domain name: VCSe.example.com

  and I have an a record set up for the same FQDN in DNS Public Server.

  I have a sip domain configured as 'cisco.com' in my VCS Expressway.

  What is the SRV records, I need to create in the Public DNS server.

  It seems that you have not checked the link I sent you earlier... A very explicit documents. in any case that we talked about earlier is we were talking about signs send calls to the highway as well as parts of the record.

  In your deployment, you have a different domain for DNS and SIP domain. Also as you say you meet Highway cluster and you want to record to both endpoints and then I suggest you to check the document for the creation of cluster on cisco webesite.

  Now, if you have a cluster for Highway then you must create several srv records that would be pointing to each domain name FULL of the approved cluster with equal weight. In normal use scneario of domain common to different services are recommended.

  Srv records would have seen something like that.

  However, your case is different. In your deplyoment what you have to do is any request for the domain "cisco.com" should be resolved in FQDN of the VCS-Highway peers with equal weight.

  Therefore, any request to gmail.com would resolve to the talk2.1.google.com server.

  We just put our two VCS clustered and set our end points to save with a domain name of cluster.  The SRV is setup and works great on our MXP units, but the series C do not search the DNS record and fail to register.  What is the difference between the process of lookkup between the units?

  I have a general question about the SRV records and just need a bit of clarification. I have a client who has registered a domain for their express VCS, (tp.example.com). When I do a dns lookup it brings back the correct public ip address of the vcse. Now, I'll be confuring this system few however I don't know anything about SRV records.

  What I should allow the client to pass the SRV records relevant to their ISP for their external dns host?

  The public domain of customers is also identical to their internal domain. Im guessing the correct SRV records must be added to their server DNS internal too?

  As we do not know your deployment it's hard to say, as if you have a cluster internally

  you use SRV records to sign up customers to allow failover. But who would most likely be

  some additional DNS entries and not necessarily the same as outside.

  If the systems are registered in their own country, they can work very well with no SRV record for the video domain.

  For external connectivity SRV records are more important.

  If you have a provider maintains the entries external DNS is the question put in place

  the SRV records.

  Areas, Subzones and political service are not determined by where you place the VCS. As suggested earlier, VCS - e is placed in the DMZ. To find out how set up areas of the document that I have attached. But there are examples.

  Question 2.

  If the other company has a VCS-E which is accessible from the internet, all you need to do, is create a DNS zone and a search rule that says call not for my domain, send to DNS zone. Again the example is in the document that I sent you.

  For ARM, you only need the SRV tip collab.  According to the Expressway Administrator's guide, it is said of SIP SRV record is not necessary for mobile and remove access.  The SIP SRV should point to your cluster B2B Expressway, for incoming calls.

  Have a network of VCS X8.2.2 of two cluster control.

  I was running a three server cluster, but due to latency issues took the VCS3, I deleted from the cluster and makes it independent.

  Problem is this morning when systems checking, I noticed that one of my VTC systems was recorded on the single VCS3 media... Problem is in the system in the H.323 call control settings, I have the SRV cluster name and not the IP address of the VCS3 yet he him?

  If you want to ensure that no system is able to register with that specific VCS, define a strategy of 'Decline' record for the sub-area of default and all other Subzones, you might have on this VCS.

  I have a server configured with a DNS server running successfully on my mac mini (dns primary server for the House).

  I was wondering if there is a way to capture the DNS server logs and monitor visited Web sites of specific host ips/name?

  I don't have an example to make immediately available, and I expect that it will be the analysis or an output channel created manually or otherwise searching the DNS server connects.

  If your firewall blocks all outgoing DNS traffic except for DNS queries on the server (this is to avoid without entering the DNS server, register via VPN or other), you can turn on extra logging through the command line, and then check the DNS server logs.

  This configuration is probably more commonly implemented with either a network sniffer I look for DNS queries arriving at your server, or perhaps a web proxy server, as this proxy server gets you the customer information and the target host information, as it won't be all kinds of activities related to the web-is in the DNS for a typical client newspapers.

  Activity network Apps, app updates (various which may seem HTTPS traffic, too), multiple streams of data, etc.

  HTTPS and VPN can throw a key in these listening and data collection activities, unfortunately.  They can hide the access or hide the DNS query, according to the monitored computers.

  There are approaches especially here, including the firewall of filtering (or notation) and the mechanisms of OS X such as Parental controls, depending on the specific details of your needs here.    There are examples posted around the network to use Wireshark or tcpdump to acquire the DNS of your network data, as well.

  Details on the management of the BIND 9 command line - i.e. when there is hair - are available in the ISC BIND documentation, such as 9.10.  Find statement grammar and record the setting up an output channel, as a starting point.

  For recent versions of OS X Server, BIND configuration files are under/Library/Server.  (See this discussion, as well.)

  Changes to the configuration files can sometimes fail.app, unfortunately.   Close.app, make the changes to a copy of the file, then restart.app (and I hope Server.app don't spill or undo your changes).

• Hard drive boot record is missing

  I recently had a virus and my antivirus told me to start in SafeMode to complete uninstallation.  It took several reboots and I've made a few changes in administrative tools to have Windows restart every time in safe mode by pressing F10 succeeded perhaps 1 out of 3 attempts.  I also checked for each startup 'connect' and changed 'small dump' to 'image of the nucleus' without realizing that it was not supported.  I don't know if this or the virus caused the result but on the next boot hung my computer and I got the error "Bank interleave requested but disabled: press F2 to continue. In the bios, I could find nothing bank interleave. After evolving around a while 'disk i/o error primary drive 4' was added to the Bank a stripe error.  A couple of people in a forum told me that my hard drive died, so I purchased a new one and it installed without any problems.

  I have been researching if indeed the other drive died. It runs without noise or hesitation, but when it is installed in a SATA port inside the computer. Windows does not recognize it. I bought an external enclosure usb and windows will recognize it again but disk management says that it is not initialized and that it cannot mount the drive.  Its a WD5000aaks Digital Western and I am running Vista x 64. Device Manager acknowledges, but he says it is a DVD/CD.  When you try to scan the disc with recovery software more fail however today I used PC Inspector File Recovery and he was able to scan the drive and the number of folders/files. I'm afraid to try to recover with this program because it warns if the volume on the disk is miscalculated that the data may be severely damaged.  It's just a 500 GB drive, but the program says it's a 2 TB drive!

  The Windows disc that came with my computer is a single installation without service unfortunately options disc.  Does anyone know how I can restore the boot record of the disk.  I don't know, but I may have to restore the partitions as well.  The local data recovery seller wants more than $1,000 to recover the data and I'm not spending a lot of money. It seems that the data is intact, but windows can not access.

  You can try to rebuild the master boot record and check if it helps. But we cannot guarantee the data on the disk.

• Post-it Note, Snipping Tool, Sound Recorder etc missing from the Start Menu

  Some integrated programs have suddenly disappeared in the folder 'Accessories' in the Start Menu, including sticky notes, Snipping Tool, Sound Recorder, and record Tablet PC Tools was empty too and maybe even more than programs that I do not know. (I don't know why this happened, the only reason why I can think of is maybe I fell a development of my antivirus program).

  I looked online for solutions, I tried:

  -Option unchecking and rechecked the "Tablet PC Tools' of the 'Turn Windows has or not', which bought only the programs in the Tablet PC Tools in the Start Menu folder, but not the Post-it Notes and other

  -Restore to an earlier point, but did not work

  -Enter sfc/scannow in the command prompt but it has said is that Windows has no problems of integrity or something after scanning and solves nothing

  The programs are always there, I found 3 of them in C:/Windows/System32 as exe files and they work from there, but they just will not be displayed in the Start Menu or when I do a search. I don't know what else is missing. Is it possible to bring them back in the start menu? Would be fixed it with a factory reset? - but I don't really want to do a factory reset, unless I am out of options.

  A factory reset would, but that's certainly an exaggeration just to restore shortcuts.
