  I just upgraded to V4.5 software and Documents To Go is supposed to be available for read-only access to documents.  It is not, and when I go back and upgrade success again once he tells me I later and won't let me edit or change the settings, so I can't check to see if maybe he jumped.

• All Documents of blackBerry Smartphones has 1000's of .vcf files

  When I select one of these vcf 1. through vcf 999.il they all go to the same message blackberry contact.  How can I remove them?  Where did come from and can I delete them?  I have to scroll down in front of each of them to see my regular files.   I can't select them mass and of course I hate by selecting them one at a time to remove them.  Help!

  In native mode, PDFs can only be returned on a BB device while they are attachments to a message (e-mail, etc.). Once detached, the attachment service is no longer in use and so can't make the PDF file. To do in such conditions requires an application add-on as PDF to Go, BeamReader or something else. Search for an application add-on that displays PDF files and choose what you want.

  Ah... Ok... Manually... and I think this goes for 3rd party applications as well. DTM backup databases of Basic... see this KB:

  What I do is to maintain a list of 3rd party apps I have installed on my BB. Because I'm "attention to detail", I still maintain this list of things that I got via AppWorld or other sources that maintain their own list of what I have bought/installed. I also maintain a manual backup to my PC which is on my map of media - now it's easy since it is simply my entire library of music, videos, and only a few documents of any type. But your use may vary.

  For security reasons, password reset emails never reach the BB itself. So, you need to separate access to this email account to receive and treat the password reset.

  If you used the e-mail account is also available (for example, GMail, Yahoo, etc.), and then simply use a browser/PC and their webmail interface.

  If the email account you used is only accessible through the BB (hosted @carrier, @bb, etc.), then you need to apply a rule to redirect on that account so that you can receive email elsewhere (for example, GMail, Yahoo, etc.):

To receive, you must ring to the top of your mobile service provider and convince them to escalate your case up to BlackBerry. In addition, you must convince BlackBerry you with a solution - which probably will be reset your current BB ID so that you can access it again or you will need to create a new BBID and they will manually move your purchase to the wire records. Note that I don't know if they will be willing to do, but there is no other way I know of to keep your purchase records BBID/AppWorld prerequisites.

  I used the SD card in my BlackBerry as a way to print some documents. Of course, internet cafes are full of virus of children all this porn downloaded.

  There is no setting in the BB OS change on a file write protection. Therefore, you cannot do it with the BB... If you are not ready to connect it to any PC (maybe even the Internet infected PC coffee it?), then format the card with the BB command is your next step.   If BB ID is, as you say, new for you, then someone has configured this device with a BBID, and you can or don't want that. BBID is used to help to be sort of a "single sign on" to many things... BIS configuration, BBM, BB Protect email, etc. If you have not created this ID from BB, while you should really do is delete and create a new brand for yourself, that you store the credentials for, as you will need it from time to time (as you do now).

  To remove the unit BBID and then create one for you, you must WIPE totally clean unit... This will make the device as it was brand new, so all the data and the applications that you have installed will be gone.

  Make sure that you have good backup of everything, as you need it - you can find the backup instructions in the auto-sig on this post.

  But, if there is a chance that this BB ID is indeed something you created, but simply forgot, then you can try to get back into it. To do this, start first with them please:

  I have a bb bold 9780, just updated to 6.0 - bundle2921 on the advice of someone at rogers technical support.  It's a phone Bell, get it unlocked with the network mep code. When I tried to set up the e-mail, he said:-"your device had a problem connecting to the server." It is the business version, I think, I don't know too much about these phones, but when you try to disable the password function, there is a padlock icon next to the box with a check mark in this document, indicate that the setting cannot be changed.  The text messages icon is there, but there is no way to compose a new text. On this one, send SMS is not an option.  It seems to me that it may have something to do with the service book, but I can not change anything here either. Help!

  First things first... If this BB is now or ever was associated by BES (since you said 'business',) then that must first be broken before you try anything else... the symptoms you describe are usually a BB sign that was once associated with BES, but the it policy was not properly cleaned. See this to verify:

  If that turns out to be true and you are sure that you are not now a BES user to 100% (for example, you got this BB 2nd hand and the previous owner has had not the it policy, but they "divorce" it from the BES server), then you can clean it with this procedure:

  Take account of the warning... and therefore the reason why I said to do this first before trying anything else, because this will completely WIPE the BB clean, returning as long as "new factory", but the it policy will be gone.

  If you have data that you need to keep, then by all means do a backup first... but, when you restore, DO NOT do a restore roughly... If you do, you simply put it on board policy... rather choose you need when you restore specific databases, avoiding in particular those that have something to do with politics.

  If the old BB is really dead, then it is not available as a source for restoring your data to your new device. Instead, you must use another source, one that you created before the old BB died.

  If you made a backup of office, you can use the backup as a restore source file:

  If you were synchronizing with a Desktop Organizer (for example, Outlook), then you can use that as source for restore reconfiguring the RIM Desktop software now work with your new BB:

  Hey everybody. I'm new to the forum so just thought I'd say 'Hi' until I'm in my question.

  Here's my deal so far:

  I hate outgoing e-mail notifications and have not found a suitable means to stop. When I try to log into my BIS (I use Verizon), it is said to log on my phone. I do this and there is no options for filtering messages or anything like that. I tried messing around with Gmail and preferences the preferences of the phone and that you can't seem to stop! (does anyone think that raging huge construction when click you 'send' on your computer and you just wait that your stupid blinking at you seeing?) Ham, I know)

  My original solution was to simply remove my email from my phone account and use app. Gmail it does work decently, doesn't seem as sensitive or fast as the curve built in the message browser and I cannot cut/copy/paste this is mind-boggling. BUT, I don't have to worry ever saw that effing turn on when I don't have to! (I suppose that this isn't simply the light, it is the fact that I have a new message "BOLD" and plays even if it's just the opposite of the 'new' for me)

  Unfortunately, the facebook app relies on the link between your email to the BB, so I was with my original solution, my facebook app would be not updated at all.

  Follow precisely - I know it works, I had to use the filter on the Association the first time that I have configured GMail. But, frankly, the best solution is the first... Delete and re-create the BIS conduit. VZW (and all carriers) have recently updated their BIS servers, and the only way to get the new version is to remove and recreate the BIS conduit. But... a cautionary... see this KB for reconciliations features you'll enjoy... as well as others, will miss you:
