Domain user in dell FS7610 authentication mode

Hello world

I have configured my first FS Nas.FS 7610 7610 are integrated with PS Series equallogic and we reached FS7610 by Group Manager gui. Container and actions are created via the gui Manager, shares are available on the network, but we are only successful connect CIFS share with CIFS administrator account storage not the domain administrator account even if the FS7610 are joined with domain name must also know what to authenticate the domain user to share any CIFS.

Thank you best regards &,.

    Question:

Firewalls Cisco requires that one level of password, i.e. the domain user name and password are used for logging as that to reach the global configuration mode.

    Background:

We have several network devices Cisco, put in place who authenticate to our Windows using NPS (Windows 2008 R2) DC. Switches we have implemented the function exactly as we would wish that they need your domain user name and password to connect to the device. Then they require a separate password when you use the enable command, it is stored in Active Directory:

    Switches:

    User name:domain-username

    Password:password-field

    SWITCH >Activate

    Password:Enable-password - to-Active Directory

    SWITCH #.

    Firewalls (as they are now):

    User name:domain-username

    Password:password-field

    Firewall >enable

    Password:password-field

    FIREWALL #.

With the firewall, however, they require your domain user name and password first and then your domain password again when you use the enable command. I want to reuse the firewall to use the level that currently switches enable password rather than the password of domain. The appearance of the current configuration as follows:

    Current configuration of the switch:

    AAA new-model

AAA authentication login default local radius group

AAA authentication enable default group enable RADIUS

AAA authorization exec default local radius group

AAA - the id of the joint session

    ACCT-port of 1645 auth-port host 192.168.0.1 Server RADIUS 1646

    Server RADIUS ports source-1645-1646

    RADIUS server key 7 1234abcd

    Current configuration of the firewall:

    RADIUS protocol AAA-server DC01

    AAA-server DC01 (outside) host 192.168.0.1

authentication AAA ssh console LOCAL DC01

Console to enable AAA authentication LOCAL DC01

    1234abcd keys

Any help would be great, thanks!

You must use GANYMEDE + instead of RADIUS for this.

Here, you can use command sets in the results section of the policy.

  • Windows 7 Home Premium - cannot change the user name in the authentication dialog box

I was hoping someone might be able to answer a question on how to get a computer running Windows 7 Home Premium to display both the username and password fields when attempting to authenticate on another Windows computer.

Here's the situation: allow us that the leaders and other members of the staff allowed our Organization to establish a VPN connection to our corporate network (via Fortinet Forticlient, for what it's worth.)  Once the VPN connection is established, on the remote computer, the user must be able to access the UNC path to our file (\\servername\share) server.

Because the remote user has not yet authenticated on the domain Active Directory of business, a dialog box should appear to the user input a user name and password.  Enter the user name (domain\username) and password and share should open, and the user must then be able to access the files in the share.

I (and several other members of the staff) have been using this method successfully to access files via the VPN connection, and it works very well.  However, it does not work whenever the President of the company will connect to the VPN from his computer at home.

Whenever the President connects the VPN and attempts to access the UNC path, he reports that the dialog box which appears on his computer at home has only one field for a password; the user name field appears to be on his local user account, and it doesn't have the ability to change.  (I have him asked if there is an option 'use authentication information', and he declares that there is not just a dialog box with a single field, the field of password.)

The President is running Windows 7 Home Premium on his computer at home, so I thought that the problem could be because he was running this edition of Windows.  However, I have installed VPN client and test the connection on the server share file using the computer of my wife, who is also running Windows 7 Home Premium, and I received the two fields as expected authentication dialog box and has been able to authenticate to the domain successfully and open files from the share with no problems.

Does anyone have recommendations on what I can try to allow the President to authenticate successfully to our server share?  I am confused, and it is eager to be able to get remote access to files on his home computer.

  • Lost domain user profile

    Hello!

Here, in our society it happened that some domain users have lost there profiles.

What happened after being inactive (they had holidays from 10 to 30 days, and they were not active in the corporate network).

    What's really happening
When a user returns (after a long period of inactivity), and tries to connect to the domain, the profile opens upward, but without documents that has been saved previously. It has been observed that the new profile is created, and the previous mode is stored in the users with the same user name, but with an extension .domainName (for example lusajo.gidion.isubahq where, by the isubahq is the domain name).

To others, it's even worse because they lost everything.

    My request

I would like to get assistance on this issue, which is the real cause of this problem and what is its likely solution in order to save the users in our society.

    Kind regards
    Corinne

  • Principal name for Active Directory "domain users".

    Hello

I integrated successufully Weblogic & Active Directory Kerberos (SINGLE sign-on). I tested a web application and successifully logined with authentication.
The system automatically recognizes my Active Directory user name. It worked.

For authentication in my weblogic.xml I used

    < security-role-assignment >
    Admin > role name < < / role name >
    Kursat < SPN > < / main-name >
    < SPN > Fenerbahçe < / main-name >
    < / security role assignment >

Now I am trying to allow all domain members authenticate my request. For my application, I need only the usernames of the directory an actress for them.

To do this, I removed "Chris", "fenerbahce" of my weblogic.xml
    Kursat < SPN > < / main-name >
    < SPN > Fenerbahçe < / main-name >

    I added
    users in domain < SPN > - < / main-name >
rather than write all users in the domain.

However, I could not authenticate. I got the "Error 403 - Forbidden".

Y does it can someone help me?

    Hello Tripline,

Please provide number and firmware version of your ReadyNAS model.

What's your ReadyNAS built-in AD? The ReadyNAS will simply copy the accounts of the ADS in your ad. Existing domain user, 'Administrator' should be adjusted to have administrator rights. I guess you should change everything first, and then integrate the NAS again to the AD.

  • How to lock COMPLETELY ordinary domain users?

Put the NG Nas Duo 2 for the security of the domain.

I am able to configure existing actions by applying file permissions as a domain administrator.

However, any time that a "regular domain user" navigates to the NAS, they automatically get a "home" folder created for them and they can do what he wants with it!

How can I configure things to block this behavior?

I assume you mean the ReadyNAS Duo v2 (running firmware 5.x) rather than the original Duo (running 4.x).

Unfortunately the home folders of the user cannot be turned off through the user interface on the NV + / Duo v2.

Home folders can be disabled in the back-end via SSH (starting from a previous thread by mdgm):

    1. Edit the file "/ etc/default/services", change "USER_HOME_DIRECTORY = 1" to "USER_HOME_DIRECTORY = 0".

    2. Update the configuration in the readynasd database:
      SQLite3 /var/readynasd/db.sq3 "UPDATE service_misc SET val = '0' WHERE key ="USER_HOME_DIRECTORY"
