Double-sided Scan on a Photosmart 7520 of OSX 10.8.2

I have to be able to scan double-sided for document on my Photosmart 7520 charger. The documentation says this is possible, but there is no printing & scanning option.

    Hi a4pilot,

You would not be able to scan double-sided paper 8.5x10.5 format, however, you can make a copy of the document on paper size 8.5 x 11 and then perform scanning two-sided copying.

    I hope this helps!

  • Printing double-sided with a 6510 Photosmart problem

I have a Photosmart 6510 new and it is supposed to come with automatic duplex printing.

I tried two-sided printing and followed the advice of many previous thread, but it did not work.

I use a version of Mac OS X 10.5.8 and Microsoft Word 2008.

When I go in the menu in the window print and go to "duplex printing", the ability to print on both sides is grayed out, and he said that paper size and type settings don't support duplex printing. What paper should I choose and where can I do this?

    Any help would be great.

    Thank you

I had the same problem (same MacOS and all) and just got off the phone with tech support, and together, we found a solution.

In the print window that opens after you select file > print, select paper handling. Click in the checkbox to select "scale to fit paper size. Allows you to select the Destination format. Select from the drop-down LETTER, then we letter two sides of margins. Now, when you go to double printing, you can click on the checkbox to select print front and back. But before you click on 'Print', save it as a "Preset" so that it is much faster to do the next time!

  • How do I "crop" a part of a document to scan on HP Photosmart 7520?

I've already owned an al-in-one HP Photosmart C5580. I could put something in on the flat and in the process document, select scan or "crop" one part you like. Somehow, I can't do this task on my new HP Photosmart 7720. If I can't do that, then the whole machine is useless for me. I often need to scan a selected a document part, save in My Documents and later in MS Word insert the "cropped" saved game in another document. How does this with the HP Photosmart 7720? I have not found a way to do it.

I think that you're wrong in the statement that HP does not provide a program for the cropping and rotation, etc. I finally found how do. First go to programs - HP 7520 Open - opens offering PRINT - SCAN - FAX... Select SCAN... open to many options of the element to analyze... Select Photo file... 7520 HP will then SCAN the item (custom) where you can CROP to be desired part... complete and SAVE... Open the SAVE item... Select and when the option to open with comes up, select Microsoft Office picture... manage all the options of CROP - ROTATION - etc. are there. Unfortunately, HP does not provide a very good quality, detailed, how-to instruction booklet. Thanks for your help. I check Picasa to see if it offers something beyond what I already have with Microsoft Vista - Microsoft Office - HP 7520. Thanks for your reply.

  • Problems scanning with HP Photosmart 7520 and HP Deskjet 2450

I could have sworn I posted this earlier, but I can't. I have problems with scanning for computer with my 7520 and 2540. The scan of the computer does not work.  On the 7520 when I try to scan a document to your computer in PDF format, it works. When I scan in JPG format, I get errors. "The"Move Finder items"action has encountered an error" and "no connection" appears." I have two printers installed wireless and wired hard. Cable installation the "Scan to Computer" is enabled but does not work. On the wireless (Hello), it says "Scan to computer" is not enabled. Scan the small icon on the bottom of my screen does not have an option of the printer to use. This shows just the 7520. The only way I can scan almost anything with the 2540 is through the Web site. The strange thing is. I have a laptop wireless hung in the living room and I have no problem analysis to the computer with both printers. Just my office's problems. How can I fix?

A power failure may cause problems. We had a power outage yesterday in my area.

    Hi @Helen

I'm glad to hear that they are working together again.

It seems that you may have an option "detect the separate components' selected somewhere in the settings.

Let's take a peek into the HP Scan for this feature, and if find you it clear.

I just checked a Mac I have access to and I found a setting that would do the same thing that "detect the separate elements", it is called point limits and is located in the culture section. If your article harvest limits element selected, change it to zero.

The parameter you want may depend on the Mac version you are running. If you can't find the options I identified above, let me know what version of mac you have, I'll do some additional research to find the solution!

Since we have not fixed the first problem, think about scoring the post that solved the problem like "Accept as Solution" if others in the community can find the solution easily. Thank you.

I can't wait to hear back on your part.

I have a MacBook 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo running 10.7.3. My printer is a HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m. When it is connected to the printer via USB, I can select two-sided printing under page layout option and print on both sides. When connected wireless through Time Capsule, the option is grayed out, and he said: it is turned off. I don't have this problem with my MacMini running 10.5.8. The function stop working while I'm running Snow Leopard and I was hoping to go to Lion would settle the matter, but no luck. I uninstalled the software all the HP and removed the printer in the list of printers and re - he added. Any ideas I could try? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Bad luck, sorry.  I see full features for 10.7 software has not yet been published.  You can try the full software functionality for 10.6 for this printer but I think it can cause other problems.  You can always uninstall it if it doesn't work right:

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Premium can scan double-sided legal format of the ATF documents?

I can't get the award-winning Officejet Pro 8600 to scan one side of a document of legal size of ATF.  I use Panel of the printer to scan to computer and save to the PDF format.  I select original: two-sided in the Panel.  The printer will scan only on one side and an error message appears saying that the tray supports that double-sided scanning for certain sizes of paper.

    Hello

    Thank you for your message.

Unfortunately, the ADF can scan only 1-sides for legal-size documents.

You can, however, use the software to "Add pages" using glass as the example below.

    Hope that helps.

Please click "Bravo Thumbs up" on the left, if it helped you and 'Accept as solution' If this helped solved your problem.

  • Office jet Pro 8620: documents MultiPage, automatic two-sided scanning, an automatic document feeder to 50 pages.

I just bought a HP OfficeJet 8620, who says that he will "Break through with automatic double-sided scanning multipage documents and an automatic document feeder to 50 pages." I can't find a reference to such an operation in the user manual and seem to read thet, others have not been able to do. Before I take the trouble to unpacking and to establish this printer, can anyone tell me if the printer can do this duplex auto scanning and if so, how?

    Hello

Yes, he can do an ADF duplex scanning using the screen of the printer or the HP scanning software.

    Kind regards.

  • Photosmart HP 7520: HP Photosmart 7520 unable to connect to Web Services

I was able to scan for months, now impossible.  It seems that there is a difficulty, but it is not displayed publicly.  Can you please send it to me?

    Hello @Jibberdee ,

Welcome to the forums of HP.

I understand that you are having a problem with the e-mail scanning on your Photosmart 7520 function.

    I would like to help.

The first thing to try is a manual DNS.

The following link will take you to a terminal of happytohelp01, which has detailed photos and instructions to set the manual DNS. The instructions are for a Photosmart 7510, but the steps will be the same.

EFax 7510 still does not work after the power off/on several times ePrint

If that does not get the scan to e-mail work try removing and then enabling web services.

WARNING: If you printer has a custom ePrint address, this will cause the printer to lose the address.

Not for 6 months or a year, forever.  It will also wipe the scanning to e-mail settings. Save all email addresses and PIN numbers will be lost.

To remove web services tap the ePrint on your screen printers.

Then, go in the settings submenu and choose Delete the Web Services.

This will bring you to the main menu of printers.

    Press again the ePrint.

You will be asked to activate the web services.

    This is a page.

This can be used to add to your HP printer connected account.

The next step is to configure the scan to e-mail again.

During this process, we will give you a new pin code.

    Test scanning to e-mail.

I hope this helps. If you need other assistance please let me know.

  • How to scan double-sided in the order of the pages, in PDF with Photosmart 7520.

    Hello everyone,

I have a Photosmart HP 7520 use with Mac OS Mountain Lion 10.7 connected via Wi - Fi. I installed Adobe Acrobat Pro.

I need to scan double-sided 300 pages in a document. I'm sure that the ADF will bite of it, but if I understand correctly that the 7520 does not scan two-sided (as it prints) if can anyone advise how to on this subject.

To ensure the best possible scan, I thought to scan all pages on one side, then go back and scan in the rest. Otherwise we could force me to edit pages after scanning, which makes a long process. I guess, but don't know how do it, that I could create a PDF and then a second, then using software tools to load the second PDF integrate after each page in the first. Or is there a better way to go about this?

I so want, just to be absolutely clear analysis in a document double face of 300 pages in the most user-friendly and fastest way possible, the end result is probably a 600-page, PDF format.  Please indicate the methods and software tools, I need.

Thank you in advance. Can't wait to put it to work.

Do you use the HP software to scan from the ADF?  On my Windows PC, I have a file called HP printer Assistant or, for some, it's simply scan HP. You can find in your utility Section.  After I open and select scan in one. PDF document from the ADF, I see a box to check the brand which allows me to turn on duplex scanning.  Do you see something like this when you scan on your computer?   I know you said that you use a Mac, so I hope you have this option somewhere.  I'm not very competent in Mac OS, but I'm sure that the term "scanning two-sided" can be found on the appropriate scan utility.  I know it's possible!  Let me know if you find it or not and I do on a Mac computer and research here.

  • HP 7520 Double face (two-sided) scanning possible? If so, how can I make this work?

How can I scan a document double sided (A4) with the HP Photosmart 7520?

I prefer to scan directly to e-mail, but I never see the option of detection across a document. With scan-to-mail, but also with the other options (scan of the computer, USB)

Several reviews that I've read what follows:

"The Photosmart can print and scan in duplex (two-sided page), but scanning duplex requires two passes.

But how does it work? I guess that doesn't mean that I have to do two separate analyses (which would not of course double-sided).

But at no time, I gives me the possibility to transform the document and resume analysis.

Any ideas on how to use duplex (sort of) scanning with HP 7520?

The Photosmart 7520 offers the possibility to scan double-sided.

You scan the front of the printer or the software on the computer? Duplex scanning must be started from the software.

Scanning both sides of the software on the PC:
    * Open the HP printer Assistant software for the Photosmart 7520
    * Select scan a Document or Photo
    * Select the Document in PDF format (or by e-mail in PDF format)
    * On the side right of the screen is a list of drop-down menus and one of them is the source of the scan
    * Select this option to scan from the automatic document feeder
    * After you select this option, a checkbox will appear under this option to activate Dulpex scanning
    * Set the other options as desired and start the scan

If you are scanning multiple pages which should be duplex scanning, then the printer will travel the most complete list on one side and then to instruct you on how to reset the pages to scan the remaining sides. The unit requires a method of style "flip and resume" duplex scanning. I hope this helps.

  • Photosmart 7520 fax documents double-sided

My wife and I have worked trying to fax fully both sides of a sheet of paper for too long, this morning. We used the ADF and flat glass, but were never invited for another page for our fax. Sure there must be a way to fax both sides of a document without copying from the other side and power 2 documents through the ADF (?)...

The closest thing I found would be to impose a 'pause' when sending this (?), but I have not tried this because I don't see how to insert another page of fax; and I need to do other work.

I have read the documentation and searched online for this answer without finding her. Please help me and we all can have this same problem.

    Hello

Fax a document duplex is not supported by the device, the sole support of charger high fax from one side of the page, several pages of the scanning glass is not supported on any model with a charger to top of the page.

You must either copy only pages 2-face at a 1 page of face, or from the scanner HP scan to PDF software.

The glass of the scanner source, check the preview to see the and set the resolution to 300 DPI or below.

Use the button Add pages of the preview of the scan to scan pages manually, save the scan job, and then print the file to the copy of the Photosmart 7520 fax on your computer.

    Hope that helps,

    Shlomi

  • Flag 23: problem of scanning hp photosmart 7520: Automatic Document feeding

My photosmart hp 7520 worked well since I got a couple of months.  I have often used the feature of the parser for a single page (or photo) both placed on the glass.  I also used it to scan several pages in a file PDF - one page at a time placed on the glass (not via the ADF because they are double sided pages).  Two days ago, I started having trouble with the scan function.  When I select Scan--> computer-->-->--> PDF Document MYPC and load a single page on glass, sometimes it allows me to analyze this page, I request to load the next page which I do but that's all.  He said that the analysis has been a success and the document is saved even if I have additional pages.  It doesn't gives me the opportunity to make more than two pages.  At other times, as soon as I put the first page on the glass and go to the scanner, it does "No preview available when you use the ADF" even if there is no paper in the ADF.  I did not any changes for the 7520 or Pavilion.  Is it a software HP 7520 glitch or hardware problem?  I tried the normal stuff of uninstalling the software and put it back, by restarting and unplugging the 7520, etc. all to nothing does not.  Same problems keep occurred.  Suggestions?  Thank you.
