Downgrade 5.2 and 5.1

It is possible to downgrade a DMP version 5.2 to version 5.1. I have a DMM in version 5.1 but I bought more of DMP but are delivered with version 5.2 and DMM does not recognize them.

What is the best practice in this situation?

Thank you

Aureli,

I'm glad I could help. Can you please mark this thread as "responded."

Kind regards

My Tower has a sticker that says OS; Win 7 downgrade to XP Pro.  I also have a sticker that gives me a product code for Win 7 PR.  These stickers will allow me to upgrade XP Pro to Windows 7 Pro?  I don't have a disc.  Operating system has been installed on the computer when I bought the computer.  Thank you.

    Hi KathyWaggie,

When you install Windows 7 Pro, you will need a product key. You have the product key to activate Windows, but do not have the installation media. If you can not install Windows 7 Pro. I recommend contacting the manufacturer of your PC and buy the disks to install them. They usually sell them for a good price. You can't stay on Windows XP for a long time, in 3 days, support ends. Once you get Windows 7 Pro, install and use the product key to activate Windows.

  • Tecra A8 downgraded XP and none of the Toshiba Utilities works

    Hi all

I just got a new Tecra A8 - it is downgraded to XP, and none of the Toshiba Utilities work (energy saving function keeys, keyboard shortcuts, etc.). When I try to reinstall - there is always an error message (missing dll or sth similar) - I tried to update the bios - couldn't - once again a missing file!

any ideas how to solve this problem? at least the fn keys (fn key works - I see a light come on when I press - not the functions well!)

    your help, I much appreciated!

    see you soon,

    Dimitris

    Hi Dimitris

May I ask you what Tecra A8?
I visited the Toshiba driver page and it seems that Toshiba provide XP drivers for two different units A8 PTA83Eand PTA82E.

You should be 100% sure that you are using the correct drivers!
In addition, Toshiba released the Installation Instructions of the document on the page and to my knowledge it s necessary and important to follow this line of installation guide. The proper installation order is necessary!

So take care and check again

  • Possible to option and click to add a new table lines WITH borders

I recently "upgraded" to the latest version of the Pages. In the version previous (Pages ' 09), option-click on a row or column added a line or column and the new, it would automatically have the same borders that has been clicked on the option.

In this new version, option-click adds the row or column, but it is not about the attributes of the edge of the line or the previous column.

Is it possible to do without having to go into the cell style attributes and assign borders for each?

Any rejection of Pages v5 (including 5.6.2) is based on the Pages ' 09 v4.3. They are quite different applications and v5 lacks about 100 features that did not exist in the Pages ' 09. Even the architecture of document is not backward compatible. Your upgrade to the last Pages is a downgrade in functionality, and Pages ' 09 likely lies in Applications: iWork ' 09 file. Use and treat yourself to a true upgrade.

That said, I've selected a line in a new table of Pages v5. Changed the border line and color to 2 pt and blue respectively. Then I option-click on this line several times, and the added lines were identical on the border style has changed from the original line. I can't reproduce your problem described here.

Tested with Pages v5.6.2 on OS X 10.11.6.

  • Searchbar broken in v23 and problem with add - js related?

Since the upgrade to v23, the search bar not working - I can enter search terms, but the menu drop-down appears on my second monitor, and pressing on enter, nothing happens - that is the search for the search bar no longer works, for any search engine installed.

Also, even if it may seem unrelated question, I use the Devonthink added, in order to capture pages html since firefox directly to Devonthink Pro. After the capture of the page HTML in PAO, I can only convert a searchable PDF.
Converting page captured from v23, in PAO, all I get is a reflection and a partial screenshot of the visible part of the original HTML page.

These two functions worked perfectly in v22, but are broken to v23. I have since downgraded in v22, and both functions work as expected, so it is clearly a problem with Firefox v23.

The only 'fixes' were either downgrade v22, or start with a new profile, v23.
The search bar worked normally when booting in safemode, v23, but not when all THE modules, themes and extensions have been disabled.

Whatever changes have been made in v23, required a new profile to 'fix' this problem.

Again, reinstall all the extensions and try to put the same preferences is a way very frustrating to mitigate this kind of behavior of the software.

Fortunately, it is often not necessary.

  • Satellite M50-A110 - how and where activate AV sucerity 2013

    Nice day

Well, I have a weird problem. We bought Toshiba Satellite M50, I chose this model because the local computer store has a couple of good software.

I have a particular problem, laptop is purchased on 01.07.2014. and during the month last laptop was in use (from the stuff of sensor overheating). Guys solved the problem after almost 2 weeks. Too bad.

Particular myresponsibility is the registration of Mcafee Antivirus more 2013.*
I have a license key, Toshiba gave me a year license with this laptop.

On this laptop, I have the LiveSafe-Internet Security trial. (remaning in the trial of eight days, it was preinstalled) I want to downgrade this product and use of Mcafee Antivirus plus 2013 because I have one year license of Toshiba.
    Windows OS 8.1.

Please help me with advice, resources or link. In our service I was told to use this license key on Mcaffe Antivirus plus 2014, but it does not work.

    Thank you!

This offer is not available in my country so I can't say with certainty how it works, but in General, recovery image contains trial version of an antivirus application preinstalled.
If you don't want to use it just out of the system.

What you can do is contact McAffe support and ask for help. You can also try is to download Mcafee Antivirus plus 2013 and check all the settings. I think there must be option for activation of the product.

Have you already checked this option?

  • Satellite A300 PSAG0A: Vista to XP downgrade question

I just bought a Satellite A300 with the following details:

Model satellite A300/Y00 (exclusive to Dikc Smith Electronics in Australia)
    PSAG0A-02Y009
    2.1 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo T8100
    2 GB RAM DDR2 (667 MHz)
    250 GB SATA HARD drive
    Graphics Intel X 3100 (GM965)
MS Windows Vista Business pre installed
MS WIndows XP downgrade for A300 recovery disk media

Basically, I just turned on and configure everything, nothing about that fact yet, not even other software installed.
I immediately made 2 copies of the recovery of the product for Vista media. So the disc XP and Vista should have all the drivers on them.

I want to install a software particularly (for programming electronic components), but the company said that it is not fully compatible with Vista. Therefore, I would like to downgrade to XP and use it for 6 to 12 months, and later POSSIBLY roll back to Vista.

Now, the information provided by Toshiba are limited with respect to the downgrading to XP. (And there is absolutely nothing about to go back to Vista).
The documentation provided shows four options at retirement:
    1) recover to out-of-box-state,.
    (2) covers the single State of Windows,
    (3) recover without changing hard disk partitions,
    4) recover on a custom size partition. He then goes on to say "Please do not select 'Recover without changing the partitions of hard drive' as a method of recovery." Windows XP cannot be used by the composition of the partition of Windows Vista".

First of all, what are the ramifications of the other options? What is the best/worst one and why?

If I understand correctly, the partitioning of the hard drive must be changed for the downgrade to XP.
But in Vista, there is a separate partition to store data recovery, so that the partition will be changed (lost).
If ever I decide to go back to Vista, the Vista recovery media I created also change the partitioning to the way it was originally?

I dared not touch anything until I'm 100% sure of what needs to be done.
If anyone has any experience with this or advice, I would be grateful for your expertise.
Feel free to be as detailed and technical that you like - I want to 'understand' and not just 'do '.

    Thanks in advance,
    Robert.

    Hi Robert

I put t have Satellite A300 and I don t have an Australian notebook but I m, owner of another European model Satellite with preinstalled Vista operating system!
In any case, I want to share my experience with Vista and XP and of course the recovery procedure on E

First I noticed that the new notebook series is not delivered with the Toshiba Recovery CD but the image recovery is store on the HARD drive and you can create and burn image from own DVD.
    Seems that you already have.

As you already suggested the Vista supports 2 different partitions. A partition is the system partition and the partition of the other, smaller, hidden was created for Vista backup files. So if something goes wrong with your Vista operating system, you can use the repair function on Vista to repair the operating system. In this case, small backup partitions, hidden in necessary.

I also like Xp and that's why I installed it on my laptop. I didn't format t disc installed HARD but the XP on a new created partition.
You can create a partition in Vista's disk management.
In any case, I now have a dual boot OS and I use Vista and XP.

    With regard to the use of the Vista DVD recovery;
If you want to go back to Vista, you will need to boot from the Toshiba Recovery CD and the Vista installation process should begin.
But be aware that the Vista recovery CD would format the whole HARD drive.
It would erase the partitions and remove stored data.
Therefore, you must back up your data before that you would use the recovery CD!

Hope this little info will help you.

    Good bye

  • Portege R400 - I want to downgrade to XP

Toshiba Portege R400, I bought over a year ago.
He had installed vista and I ve worked about a month, but after installing a lot of software on I ve been working VERY SLOW.
I decided to downgrade to XP, but Toshiba don t provide a downgrade installation media.
Then contacted Microsoft official support and get an answer: you can use any legal installation media to downgrade.

And when I asked to double activation I have another solution: I m contact Microsoft activation while support and explain my situation and tell my Vista CD key. They activate my Windows XP manually.

It of so difficult to find support for Windows XP tablet pc in Russia in my city. But I ve found a friend and is like I said. Everything worked perfectly.

But not for long, I have my Windows crashed and had to reinstall it. But now without any legal support original.
After installing Windows XP SP3 I have a message on the the validation failure.

I have more mates with any legal Windows XP tablet pc CD.
I DO NOT WANT to buy another OS to this laptop I ve already have Windows Vista Ultimate with downgrade rights.

I want an answer, what will I do with 'illegal' Windows on my Portege because Microsoft says its manufacturer that provides legal downgrade.

I put t want more Vista I ve tried it on PC and it works perfectly, but on this laptop, it is very slow work of BONE

    Hello

You said that your laptop has been delivered and pre-installed with the Vista operating system.
In this case, you can only get a Toshiba Recovery Vista disc.
If you need another OS, you must purchase a full version.

But I have other important information for you; in you are going to install Windows XP on the R400, then you need to search in internet compatible drivers because it seems that the Win XP drivers have been released for the R400 not at this time.

Unfortunately, I have no other news for you

  • Downgrade/Upgrade from XP or Vista - Tecra A10

I have Tecra A10 with pre-loaded Vista Business. I finished the installation.
There are two things I'd like to know:

    1. If I downgrade to XP Professional using the product recovery disc that came with the laptop is there Toshiba Utilities and drivers as well or I need to download them manually?

    2. now, I don't have to activate my Vista, but in the case of the downgrade to XP, and most later upgrade possible to Vista again using Recovery DVD I made, I will have to undergo a procedure of activation?

    Thank you

    (1) the drive of Toshiba (with Win XP?) always contains the image files. An image is a package that contains Windows OS, drivers, tools and additional software. After installing the drive recovery it s not necessary to install all the drivers.

    (2) you can activate the Vista and can then create an image.
This image contains the Vista activated. If a second activation is not required.
