Download of attachments to emails

Until about two weeks ago, I was able to click on an attachment such as a jpeg image and it downloads automatically.  Now when I click on the attachment, it opens a window asking me to save it.  What has changed?

    Hello

    1. what changes have been made to your computer before the problem?

I suggest that you follow these steps and check to see if they help.

    Step 1:

If the problem occurred recently, perform the System Restore to the point that your computer was working normally.

    Step 2:

Test the issue in a new user account and check if the problem persists.

To send your messages with attachments to your friend.  He can then save attachments on his PC.  He will need an application that can handle files of ".wps", although, like the work of processing or Office Word (or WordPerfect, if that's what you used to create them).

  • BlackBerry Smartphones download attachments from email on blackberry to my laptop

Is it possible to download attachments of email on my blackberry tour to my laptop via the USB connection?

    Thank you.

When you click an attachment you have a choice called "Download attachment"? If so choose that and a boc black should appear on the screen. You should see a path at the top. So, if you have a memory card in your device this path can say ' / Media Card/BlackBerry/documents ". Also under this path, you should see the book 'Up '. So if you don't want to save the file in the folder documents in the media card, you can select 'Up' and choose a different folder. Once you find where you want to place the file, you can click on the folder and choose "Select here" in the menu that appears.

If you want to see a better view of a media or card the folder structure of the memory of BlackBerry that you can go in your media icon, click the menu button and select Explorer.

On the BlackBerry, go to Options | Media Media Card recommended parameters are:

    Media card support: WE
    Encryption mode: NO
    Mass storage support: WE
Auto enable mass storage Mode when connected: YES

Mass storage mode allows your BlackBerry to act as an extra drive when it is connected to your PC. It will appear as an extra drive letter in Windows Explorer. So you can just drag/release the multimedia files on your memory card

  • I'm unable to download or open attachments to emails.

When I click on the download link, a yellow window appears at the bottom of the screen with an option "save or save under ' (the open option is missing) but when I click on either nothing happens.  The yellow window then rest on the screen and cannot be closed without stopping my emails.  I run a full scan of the system, but the problem remains.  The attachments, I'm opening are word documents and the problem started a few days ago.  I would be grateful of any help.  I'm not very technical so interested if you can keep the answers as simple as possible, it would be much appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    Hi Wasul,

Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community Forums.

According to the description, it seems that you are not able to download or open attachments to emails. I'll be happy to help you.

To guide you in the right direction, I need a little more information of the computer with the problem. Please help me answer the following questions:

    (1) do you use Internet Explorer or any mail client to open emails?

    (2) who is the provider of mail service?

    (3) is the issue limited to word documents?

    (4) you receive an error message when you try to open?

    (5) you are able to save documents and then able to open?

    (6) have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

At the same time, if the question is limited to word documents, I suggest you write the topic in the forum link for assistance.

  • Unable to view attachments to emails

I'm unable to view attachments from email to my hotmail account. As I open them, I get the notification 'Go get the attachment' followed 'cannot display this attachment. I never had such problems with LG Optimus V. Also when I send the attachment to my gmail account, I have no problem to open it. For any help or suggestion is very much appretiated.

    Kind regards

    Sandy.

My recommendation, the market, download OliveOffice Premium or ThinkFree Office. There are others, but those who come to mind. Then you will be able to open documents whether Excel or Word or PowerPoint.

Of course, to download Acrobat Reader for. In PDF format, which will open the documents.

When there are several applications that can open content, the phone will set up a dialog asking you want to use. If you like much change your mind, you don't have to make a permanent selection, but there is a way to indicate that you want a particular application to manage this content.

Assuming you are using Windows mail. If this isn't the case, ignore what is said below.

Open Windows mail > tools > Options > Security tab > uncheck "do not allow open... or registration of attachments" > uncheck "block Imgaes and other external content in HTML e-mail" > click OK for the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem. • I can't open attachments to emails.

I can't open attachments to emails.   I get the message "Required registry information is missing and this application cannot run.  Please return to the settings and correct the problem.  The program to open the attachments is broken and needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled.   I don't have any idea how to solve this problem.

The error message says that MS Word is not correctly installed and you need to remove a reinstall it. You have MS Word on your computer? If this isn't the case, get this viewer.

If you do not have Word, you can try this, but if no joy, you may need to remove and reinstall Word.

    Create a file association.

    1. download and save the attachment to the office.
    2. right click on the saved file.
    3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
    4. click on: choose [default] program.
    5. Select: Microsoft Word.
    6. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.
    7. click on OK.

  • Can't print pdf attachments to emails

I use Windows 7 and Gmail on a laptop Samsung.  All of a sudden, I can't print pdf attachments to emails.  I have to save the attachment and then print that is very effective because I don't always want to save the attachment.

Maybe you could try the Google support forum.  I found this:

"A lot of weird problems with Gmail web interface is due to a corrupt copy of the code loaded into your web browser and can be solved by"clearing cache and cookies".  Have you tried yet? »

"In Internet Explorer, you must manually add google.com to the compatibility view settings. If you do not have the menu bar, right-click on top of bar area and select this option to display the menu bar. Then, go to tools > compatibility view settings. Add google.com to the list and make sure that "include lists updates Web sites" is checked. Restart the browser and the "print" key should work now.

Google uses Google Docs when you click on 'see' an attachment rather than download it. For some reason when you click on the print icon on the display, IE chooses to crash without error. Once the domain is added to the compatibility view, the "print" key brings the printer friendly version of the document and displays the printer dialog box. »

The tutorial doesn't explain how to delete the attachment when the recipient audits post
    in the pop server.

Assuming that the sender is in a session would be writing code to remove the attachment from the directory on
the server, a message is sent.

Can someone explain how to remove attachments from a designated directory or provide me the code that would deal with that once an email is sent with an attachment automatically.

    Thank you
