Download USB key or camera.

Why can't I download images from my camera or USB key.  Never had a problem until lately.  It "is like the port is dead and does not recognize anything.

1. have you tried to use the USB key or camera on a different usb port and in another computer?

2. what happens when you use other usb on the same USB devices?

3. you receive an error message/code?

4. What is the number of brand and model of the computer?

This problem can be caused if the USB is corrupted or Windows cannot find the necessary drivers for the device. I suggest you to refer to the methods and check if it helps.

Remove and reinstall all USB controllers

To remove and reinstall all USB controllers, follow these steps:

(a) click Start, type Device Manager in the start search box and press ENTER.

(b) expand Bus USB controllers.

(c) right click on each device under the Bus USB controllers node and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time.

(d) restart the computer to reinstall the USB controllers automatically.

(e) connect the removable USB storage device or camera and perform a test to ensure that the problem is solved.

    When some Flash storage starts to falter, it locks in a read-only mode. So, it might be failing.

    When you try to format the drive, you must select the drive itself in disk utility, not partitions. If that's how you try to reformat, so I guess it's a failure.

    I suggest to download hard disk and then copying to the USB flash drive in Windows Explorer (you can click on the folder icon on the right side of the download for the file list to open a window for her).     Try connecting your friend on the App Store under Apple ID by using the Activity Monitor > network to monitor the download.

    Or better yet your computer to friends (instead of your own) connected to your network.

    One suggestion would be to go to downloads and look for an updated driver chipset.

    In general, the PCs slow down over time because of all the waste that accumulates on them. A lot of people a re - install the Dell factory image after a few years to solve this problem. It doesn't take long, but it requires that you back up all your files and then reinstall applications once you have finished.

    You can make a bootable USB to install using this free program that will do all the work for you. Try running disk utility/repair disk be before installation.

    According to your description, my guess is that the program that you used has replaced the boot files on the hard drive, NOT on the flash drive. Thus, your PC no longer starts.

    To resolve startup problems, you need access to a PC for this phase of work in order to create the necessary support to fix your PC boot loader.

    You will need to create something called a CD-ROM to repair Win7 - which you could have done for free when Win7 was working.  This will repair the boot loader files, and if that is the problem, your PC will start OK after that.

    When you download this file, it will be an ISO file.

    To make a CD bootable it, you will need to download and install ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/

    Once you have installed, run, select the option "Save image to disk file" and select the downloaded ISO file and that it points to a blank CD.

    To make a USB bootable of it, you will need to download and install RUFUS: https://rufus.akeo.ie/
