Download WinHlp32.exe for Vista

Hello.  I am trying to download WinHlp32.exe from this page:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=6EBCFAD9-D3F5-4365-8070-334CD175D4BB&displaylang=en, but there is no download button.  He asks me to go through the Validation, but when the validation is complete, there is still no download button.  I wonder if anyone can help.

Try another browser (opera, Firefox). After validation, you can see a download button. "A programmer is just a tool that converts the caffeine in code" Deputy CLIP - http://www.winvistaside.de/

Help XP winhelp and home premium has another, so you can't replace, because Windows Vista and later versions of Windows include no WinHlp32.exe, you must install this component to open files .hlp that have been created in the old help content, that you upgrade Windows XP to Windows Vista or Windows 7. Then, you try to use help in a program that has been installed on your Windows XP system.

To resolve this problem, obtain Windows Help program (WinHlp32.exe) for versions of Windows that support it. For the version appropriate for your operating system, you must know if you have a 64-bit or 32-bit Windows System.

  • Computer is not download the 'important' for vista security updates

    Hello!

I have problems with the download of the microsoft/windows updates current.  My computer is set to automatically download, but there was a series of 10 "major updates" that I've been prompted to manually download.  However, I get a notice that my computer could not download 5 of these 'important' for vista security updates.  Important security downloads carry reference numbers: KB956744 KB971557 and KB971657, KB973507, KB973540.   Are the other three updates that will not download "update for Windows Vista for x 64-based systems (KB968389)" and "update for the filter of junk mail from Windows Mail for x 64 systems (KB905866).»

Can someone help me understand how my computer download these updates?

    Thank you

    Hi Brian, confuse

A good step to start with the recommendation provided by Jos Raymond. In addition to this, you can try to clean boot.

We would like to get a better understanding of this issue, so we can better help not only you but other users with similar problems.

What version of the operating system you are using (Windows Vista or XP)?

Please let us know if you see errors or the Windows Update window error codes.

Has nothing changed on your system just before that this problem has occurred - all new hardware devices installed?  New software or updates installed?

If you can give us these answers we can help diagnose this problem.

Meanwhile, I have a few basic steps that you can follow first, we can try to put the computer in a clean boot state and then try to install the updates:

To do a clean boot, follow the steps below:

    1. Log the computer by using an account with administrator rights.

    2. click on Start, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration Utility. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click continue.

    3. on the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the Load Startup items check box. (The box use the Boot file is not available.)

    4. on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click disable all.

Note Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.

    5. click OKand then click restart.

Once the computer restarts, try to install the updates. If you are not able to install, please check for error messages or error codes.

To restart the computer to a normal startup, follow these steps:

    1. Click on start to reduce this includes this image, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER. Reduce this includes this imaIf that you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click continue.

    2. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    3. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click restart.

I hope this information is useful.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

  • No download button on the page to download WinHlp32.exe

I use Windows Vista Home Basic with a system 32 bit op. I was in charge of Windows Help for download WinHelp32.exe to a help file of an older to run under Vista program. The problem is, I can't find a download button anywhere on the download page. I logged as an administrator to make sure that wasn't the problem. I don't know what else to try. Can anyone suggest what might be the problem or another way to download the same file on the Microsoft Web site?

You must click on the "continue" button to run the WGA check. If the verification is successful, you see a download button.

  • Impossible to download WinHlp32.exe even if Windows was validated__

I tired to download the WinHlp32.exe file from this page:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=6EBCFAD9-D3F5-4365-8070-334CD175D4BB&displaylang=en

    I noticed the comment:

    Validation required

I went through the steps and a message came to say, congratulations, thank you for using genuine Windows.

Then I went to the download page. There was still no button marked "Download". This means that I can't get the the WinHlp32.exe

I have this problem on my two computers. One is a Dell, the other is a Samsung laptop '

Recently, I restored the two computers to factory settings. Windows is validated on both computers.

I was able to download the WinHlp file on both computers a year ago.

Can someone tell me what's wrong now?

    Andre, it's great!

I installed Firefox (which I was delighted to find took a few minutes) and repeat the validation process. This time, when I ran the validation tool, a box came up with a code that then asked me to copy and paste into another box. Hey Presto! Downlooad buttons appeared on the first page and I was able to install the updated WinHlp32. Now I can use all my old help files.

I have no idea why it worked, or how you managed to think about, but thanks a lot indeed!

I try to install WinHlp32.exe to allow the old program help files can be read, but when I try to run 'Win8-KB917607 - x 64' stops

I would really appreciate the help

It seems you must have U.S. English language pack installed and enabled in order for Windows8-RT-KB917607-x 64.msu run. Or there is a replacement winhlp32.exe solution directly. • Download HP Director for Vista.

Hello. I recently moved my printer hp deskjet 5650 a XP operating system to a desktop computer with Vista Home premium OS. To run I had to download a driver from the Hp site as the installation of disc that comes with it only works on XP.

With the XP operating system, there is an icon for the "Hp Director" but it is not displayed on Vista, and I need to access the Director in order to activate the ink levels to display.

Can someone tell me if a download of Hp for the Director is available for Vista and where because I can't find one on the Hp site.

Assistance would be very welcome - thanks.

To my knowledge, software HP Director is not compatible with Vista. HP does not release the software for your printer as the base drivers are already running Vista itself.

To check the ink level, even if not a good idea, you can try to use the only the printer self-test.

    Automatic test procedure:

Press the resume. Wait about a minute, then print a self-test by pressing and holding down the Power button and press the button repeat four times. Release the Power button. Print the self-test page.
