  I installed Firefox (which I was delighted to find took a few minutes) and repeat the validation process. This time, when I ran the validation tool, a box came up with a code that then asked me to copy and paste into another box. Hey Presto! Downlooad buttons appeared on the first page and I was able to install the updated WinHlp32. Now I can use all my old help files.

  I have no idea why it worked, or how you managed to think about, but thanks a lot indeed!

  First cross check what is the file format of the files in the library for PSpice

• WinXPProSP3 - last batch upddates fail to download. Ms. FixIt50202 also failed because "BITSfailed to start.

  KB 978338 977816, 918601, 979309, 979683, 980232, 918349, 981432 and 890830 failed to download. Dialog says "download updates" but the progress continues @ '0 '.
