Downloaded Windows SP2 system crash help!

I have a HP g60 119EM laptop, with windows Vista pre-installed, only 6 months old

work perfectly until what I downloaded windows SP2 after downloading my FN4000 rebooted to a black screen with an error message

Windows could not start oxc0000000f or (oxc00000006)
The boot selection failed because a required device is not accessible.

I tried to fix this via e:g launch start up/repair, windows recovery options both HP recovery and start windows normally and all other options of safe mode, they all start to the same error message.

I have no recovery discs that Vista is preinstalled.
This is the 2nd HP lap top that has planted in the same way

I am in contact microsoft who say that it is a manufacturer problem, I don't want to buy recovery discs to £30.00 that vista is preinstalled.

Can anyone help?

Receive a response from someone

Thank you

Jim

Thank you

I followed your instructions, I see your light years ahead of me regarding it issues, I copied a vista repair following the instructions,

However, my machine cannot load vista, to do the next step, I am in the same old black screen with two options,

Launch start repair (recommended)

Start windows normally

The two that do nothing, I have to go in an f key to reload the repair disc?

Appreciate your time and your patience with me.

See you soon

  • Windows 7 system crashes so that the installation of updates, not shut down

I've upgraded to Windows 7 using a disc of Microsoft; Windows Update started downloading the updates.  Now it will not shut without doing it manually.  If there are 5 updates, it may hang on the update 4.  Then, after much cleaning in safe mode, etc, it will work perfectly, but hang in there 'shutting down '.  even if left overnight.

You receive errors related to updates?

    1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button, all programs and then click Windows Update.
    2. In the left pane, click view update history.
    3. Find an update for Windows that has failed to install, and then double-click the update to view more information.
Updates that have failed to install will display failed under status, next to the name of update.
    4. In the Windows Update dialog box, next to the details of the error, review the error code for the update has failed.

Follow the links in the Windows Update dialog box under more information or help and Support to resolve the problem, then try to reinstall updates by using Windows Update in Control Panel or by mail with the error code and maybe someone may be able to help others.

  • Windows 7 Pro 64 disabled after the system crash

Hello. My active 64-bit Windows 7 system crashed this morning with the Blue Screen of Death. Restart is not possible - message "Bootmgr is missing" came. I used the repair disk, I did when I got to the computer to fix the boot sector and was able to start normally. But now Windows 7 is described as not authentic; previously, there has been properly activated. I tried to activate the system again, but received error messages, including 0xC004C003 which apparently means that the serial number is already in use. It's - it's mine!

Some googling led me to try a system restore.  I tried a restore point of more recent, just system restore before updating to the latest version of Windows. It gave me the error message that the system restore did not finish and system files have been updated - 0xc0000022.

In addition to searching led me to try from the command prompt (in as an administrator) "sfc/scannow". Who successfully completed reports that no violations not found and no file system not necessary change.

Can anyone suggest how now can I reactivate my copy of Windows 7 Pro?  Apparently I left three days in which to do!

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

  • Windows Vista has crashed, "the operating system not found" error, can I load Windows XP on a partition?

I have an Acer Aspire 5516, with pre-installed Windows Vista. I didn't know that it did not come with a recovery disk UNTIL my system crashed! During a routine virus scan, I got a blue screen saying a major problem has been found and the system has been shut down. I followed the instructions to gracefully shut down my laptop. When I turned this back on after the "Acer" logo he went to a black screen with info on my computer and the last line States "not found operating system". That's when I discovered there was no recovery disc & it is integrated into the system. To access this system you we F8 to enter safe mode, then Alt F10 to access 'erecovery management system. Neither one of these functions operate! Still getting the black screen with "operating system" not found I have a Windows XP my laptop previous. What I was wondering is if I can load on my Acer, possibly on a partition, in order to be able to get into my laptop and save all of my files? I'm terrified of losing everything I have! I have thousands of pictures that I can't replace. If anyone can help please do! I am on a very limited income & can not really afford professional help. Thank you very much in advance!

    Hello

normally with an Acer you press Alt + F10 at startup to start the hidden recovery partition recovery, not F8, then this combo

but you do not have an option to save your data, that

in daily use acers normally have a system partition, a partition of data to save your data, etc. to and also this hidden partition recovery

    and read this on data recovery, too;

    Data recovery

    1. remove the hard drive and it slave in another computer

2 buy or borrow a USB disk drive hard put in yout case then plug it into another computer and read the hard drive like this

    3. try Knoppix

    http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html

BUT this method 3 depends on your hardware in the computer that failed

read this information about method 3:

    http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html

Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.

    http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm

Download the Vista software from the link above.

After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.

Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1 in the boot order.

Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

  • Is it possible to download Windows XP and install it on a built-in operating system?

    WINDOWS XP / HOME EDITION / 2002 EDITION / SERVICE PACK 3 Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600

QUESTION: Is it possible to download Windows XP and install it on a built-in operating system?
A representative of Microsoft Support helped me download a TORRENT (Microsoft.Windows.XP.SP3.Professional.March.2011.6230196.TPB.torrent) file so I could burn Windows XP Service Pack 3 on a CD and do a clean install on my machine.
I burned the operating system on the CD, but when I went to install on my machine, I loaded it in the CD ROM and I clicked on the compatibility of the systems of control and then I clicked on check my system automatically, then the window of Microsoft Windows Update Advisor popped up and there are 2 options (Option 1) Yes Download the updated installation files (recommended) up-to-date, I clicked on next, a window popped up saying that she was performing dynamic update, then a small window pops up that says, heel loader for WINNT32 setup - warning is from safety (name: ident.cab) and an unknown Publisher, I clicked on run and Microsoft Windows Upgrade Advisor had a message that says the following items are not compatible with Windows XP, if you continue, you will not be able to use these items, even after the installation is complete. (Windows Power Shell (TM) 1.0). When I click on details, I got this message... Installation of Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3 has been cancelled because XP SP3 cannot be installed on Windows PowerShell (TM) 1.0. Before you continue, you must uninstall Windows PowerShell (TM) 1.0. For more information http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926139
I contacted a different Microsoft Support representative (because that I treated initially was not available), and he told me that the Windows XP operating system on my machine was built.
