"Draw AP Div' out of position

Well, I'm new to these forums and so Dreamweaver, so I would like to start by saying "Hello". I have Dreamweaver CS4 that I recently got as a gift and am doing my first website. even if I'm running a problem.

I would like to put text/images in this area on my site. I want to do it without a big box concealing my popular page layout that I made in Photoshop. See below for the photo. The encircled area, this is where I want the text/images.

Website.jpg

I found a way to do it by drawing a box with the tool 'Draw AP Div' and it works perfectly. I can insert images and write a text without a problem. The problem is when I saw my page in a browser. Everything in the box "Draw AP Div" is placed on the left a little. The only solution I found is to move the box to the right in Dreamweaver to compensate.

Is there a way to stop the box to the left, out of the position, I put it in Dreamweaver, without moving to the right? Also, use a 'draw AP Div' correct operation to use to do what I want?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

AP div is the abbreviation of "absolute positioning" div. It does not move. It remains exactly where you say you want. What happened is your image. To understand the problem and dangers of the use of AP div tags (or layers, as they call) read this salutary warning: http://apptools.com/examples/pagelayout101.php.

You'd better learn how to use CSS to use your image as a background and position the text on the background with margins or padding.

  • Not able to draw AP Divs

    Hello everyone. I'm quite new to Dreamweaver, please bear with me. For some reason any all of a sudden I can't draw any Divs PA anywhere except on the background of a window. When I try to draw an AP div on another layer, I can't; my mouse gets the black circular icon with a line through it. When I draw one on the bottom and then try to move it to another AP Div, I can't. Is not only on a particular page, I work there, its all on the pages I have on Dreamweaver, on completely different models for different websites, I'm trying. The ONLY way I can get an AP Div to go on another layer is to draw on the background and go to the properties panel, then replace the positioning by entering new values for L, W, T, and H. But this is of course far from ideal and I want to be able to do it manually with my mouse

    Everything was working fine earlier and I; ve never had this problem in the few weeks that I've been using Dreamweaver but now all of a sudden I can't draw any AP Divs. someone at - it any idea why is this product? Have I accidentally press/changed something?

    I really appreciate any help! Thank you

    Please note that the design of the PA divs is not a healthy thing to do. Most of the sites can be built without ever using AP div tags. And in fact, the big AP use for layout purposes probably represents > 30% of the posts here. It's just not the right way to make your pages - to see why, read this-

    New to Dreamweaver. I created a series of pages that have a Flash swf file that enlarges the images. On this, I placed draw AP Divs of titles, watermarks, and buttons.

    Flash files will always "come" above any other content on the page.

    You can try setting the Flash background transparent using wmode, Google "wmode for Flash."

    Also take into account to set the 'z-index' positioning absolute container that you want them to appear on top for a value greater than the one below.

    I tried to perform the draw AP Div from the Panel to insert as described in the tutorial "classroom: basic Site layout and Navigation in Dreamweaver", but this option is not available/visible since my last update t CC of Dreamweaver. CS4 is 6 years old and more. Much has changed in the web standards and Dreamweaver since then.

    APDivs have never been a good or reasonable way to make primary models. Today, they are downright impossible in sensitive web designs as in APDivs content is removed from the normal flow of the document. See the links below for more details on why to avoid the APDivs.

    The only thing that will cause links not working, that is if there is a positioned element by hiding links from mouse events. In your case, it would be #footWrap div that is SUPERIOR to any other element on the page (with a z-index 3). "But not' tell you, because div #body has also a z-index 3, to which I say" you forget that div #body is contained in the #contentWrap div that has a z-index of 2, so #body div has a z-index effective from 2-in regard to the rest of the page is concerned. " The z-index 3 is ONLY IN THE CONTEXT OF THE PARENT DIV. Div #body would be higher than another brother positioned with a z-index of 2 and less than another child of the same parents with a z-index of 4, but each of them would never to anything other than a z-index of the 2 visa-vis the page.

    Furthermore, your complete disposal scheme is sure to cause problems. This isn't the purpose for which the absolute positioning was intended...

  • Draw AP Div & amp; external CSS file?

    Whenever I draw a new AP div in Design view, it sends the new CSS information to my main source code. Anyway set up Dreamweaver so the new CSS created when you draw an AP div goes straight to the external CSS file?

    In any case, as I know there is no way to direct the CSS created by that

    After the fact, however, using MOVE CSS accessible from the
    the toolbar in code.

  • Tablet draws a leak out of the screen directly to the left, whenever I have down Flash CC

    My TS-6608 Turcom / Oh P608N Tablet (people say that they are the same model and I tried both the original driver P608N installation and driver installation Turcom TS-6608 slightly modified for Windows 10 Turcomdrivers)

    draws a line from leaking out of the screen directly to the left whenever I have support with my pen pressure instead of my way of drawing. In Adobe Photoshop CC, it works perfectly fine. Why is this happening and how can I solve this problem?

    A line for every time I press. It is the only blue because that's the color of pen, I had chosen. This happens with the pencil tool and the Brush tool. I happen to run two monitors. Flash is open on the right monitor but I tried to swap around, drop down to a monitor, and it doesn't seem to change. I don't know if this is specific to my tablet or a problem with the program.

    It seems that there is a split second after the contact where it does not read my travels before putting in the left straight down.

    In Flash CS6, there seems to be a similar problem. When I press down, the first point shows but it stops to record the pressure down almost instantly even if I continue upward with the pen pressure. He holds the State pressed down but is not to follow the movement. With my mouse, I can then move around to draw the path, but it is not picking up the pen.

    In Flash CS3, it goes the same way as Flash CS5.5 where appears a point, it will not save the press which took place or release of the pen tip. If I move the mouse after pressing the pen, I can drag it around the same way. The problem seems to be that flash is not just reading presses pen continues but I don't know how to fix it. In other programs, it seems to work very well (Paint, Photoshop, etc.)

    Another thing I discovered is that if I have another program that is not selected in the active window flash but try to draw in flash using the Brush tool and then he reacts appropriately, but the second I drop the brush stroke and let Flash CC 2015 be the active window again it does not recognize my movements.

    I think it might be a simple driver issue.

    ANSWER:

    There seems to be a bug in the driver Turcom code. If you disconnect a monitor then you can normally draw in flash. What happens with two monitors, it's that the pen cursor position instantly repositioned correctly when you press down. Because I was drawing on my right monitor, it tended to be left (maybe because thought Flash that I worked on monitor 1 or something).

    I have an e-ticket with Turcom as a permanent solution, but for now, simply using a monitor works fine.

  • Floating a div with absolute positioning

    Hello, I'm floating a div wrapped around and have another filling of the space to the right. I used absolute positioning to align two div on the bottom of the package, and I think that's what it's a waste. If I remove the bottom: 20px; then the right div takes up 100% of the envelope and executes a push of the div floating left down. If I put the float: located on the div then the div will not develop far enough and will be at the top of the div by default. How can I set these two div so that the right one fills the available space, but the two are aligned vertically at the bottom? Here is the code I have so far:

    Incidentally, it is the shortcut method to apply a margin. Rule's TRorBLe or top, right, bottom and left. Adjust the function values.

  • Div sizing and position problems.

    My problem is I've set up a div to act as a main container, then 4 others to hold everything, a my header/nav conatins, one contains the content of the body, one contains the sidebar, one contains the footer. Here are my problems:

    1. my main 'container div' itself size heightwise automatically with all my other div inside

    2. my div header and body fit perfectly but my sidebar div gets pushed off the main div, it won't appear like everything else inside.

    3. I can't place my div of footer at the bottom of the main Division

    Here's my CSS code:

    {#all_content}

    margin: 0 auto;

    width: 1000px;

    position: relative;

    border: 1px solid #fff;

    }

    {#navigation_h}

    width: 1000px;

    background-color: #000;

    color: #f1f1f1;

    margin-bottom: 40px;

    padding: 0px;

    float: left;

    moz-border-radius: 5px 0px 5px 0px;

    border-right: 1px solid #919191;

    height: 91px;

    }

    . {Of navigation

    height: 90px;

    background: horizontal url(Nav_h-images/Navigation.png);

    border-bottom: 1px solid #919191;

  • Loading pages in Div? And positioning of image

    Hi I have 2 questions, but to save 2posts I put both here

    First I would say I'm trully appreciate the help of the people give to this forum! hope one day that I can help you

    In any case, this is my 1st question

    I'm use divs now but still learning

    I got my layout as follows: Div at the top of the page containing the site banner > Div under this container of the site navigation > then my div Container containing the content of the site

    So what I want to do is load all contents of the website in the background Div, but without having to reload the 2 albums similar to frames basically div... I see as being more efficient if the user is not having to reload the keys flash and banner for the website each time a page is called and yes I know frames are outdated crap etc etc im not using frames... I just have to target a div

    Someone suggested to use SSI that I understand how it works somehow... but I know that the alternative to what I want is just to set up a base about how everypage must find and use ssi + news?

    My other question is this positioning on image I little know > is there a way to Weaver of dreams to grab absolute control of a post it was desired in creation and photo mode? similar to the evolution of the package in MS word and wacking just the peak were you want to go

    Alternatively, or on the same topic that is not possible but at least can u image layer on image or position images on 2 divs?

    or is there a good tutorial on doing these kinds of things in dreamweaver cs4

    Thank you very much for any help given

    You're wrong on effectiveness because it is not how a web browser works. Once your images are loaded into the cache of the browser, they are - are still available for instant use in the rest of your site pages. Efficiency is good. Things do not have a good site.

    Removed Adobe Flash buttons and Flash CS4 text for a reason. Use the CSS style text links or the CSS Sprites instead.

  • Div and the positioning of switching

    Hey I tried for a long time understand the concept to organize properly the div and the tables. I ask first my goal because it will probably be clear so I ask:

    I have a form in which the lower part must have one of the two formats according to the user choosing from one of the two choices in a drop-down list (Yes, it's deliberately not with radio buttons).
    If my guess is that what I have to do is have two div overlapping in this section and turn their visibility on or off (the mechanics of how to do so that I can understand, this is not what is difficult for me).
    But my understanding of divs (Please correct me if I'm wrong!) is that the z-index can be set only if the positioning is absolute. And if the positioning is absolute, how do I get the divs to be correctly positioned > relative < to the rest of the table in the form?

    Is actually a general question of how to organise the divs (for example, if I want this form to be centered on the page, not the absolute of the div positioning returns always the same position relative to the window, while the position of the table moves because it is centered?). I would also welcome with a reference to where I can learn about it...?

    Jonathan

    Well ultimately, I realized exactly what I wanted, but without further my understanding of the original topic, I was interested.

    I just use the attribute to display instead of visibility, so that I could put 2 divs right after the other and alternate their screens, so one or the other has taken the place the. It works fine but I still want to understand how to create dynamic web pages, using div tags that overlap. For example, for rollover menus... I'll wait until I have.

    Thanks for the help!

    Yet once, I really appreciate the help!

  • When I set the "T" of the effects of scroll handle, my image moves out of position in the browser view?

    Capture 1.PNGCapture 2.PNG

    Initial position will define the relative position of content on the page load, so when the page scrolls point then scroll function on the content will be active.

    Thank you
