As far as I know, ASP 3.5 and 4.5 is for ASP.NET, which is different from the classic ASP. Dreamweaver used to have server for ASP.NET, but these behaviors have been removed from Dreamweaver CS4, because they were very up to date. Update to the latest version of Dreamweaver will not help you. I wish I could offer more help, but I think that you must find a competent programmer in ASP.NET.

  • Using a database of MsAccess with Dreamweaver CS4?

    Hello world

I have a question about the use of a database of Microsoft Access with Dreamweaver.

First of all, I was wondering if it was possible. Second, if it is, could someone give me instructions or a link on how to do it. I'm pretty new to Dreamweaver, code, etc., if simple instructions on how to do this would be great.

    Here is some information...

    (1) I am running Windows XP SP2

    (2) I am using Microsoft Office 2003 (access included)

    (3) I use Dreamweaver CS4

    (4) I installed XAMMP (Apache, MySQL, FileZilla and PHPmyAdmin, as far as I know)

If someone needs more information, I will be hapy to share as soon as possible.

    Any help is greatly appreciated,

    Musicman1994

You can use Access with ASP. Since you also have installed XAMPP, this suggests that you want to use PHP. Dreamweaver PHP server behaviors work only with MySQL. Access is not to go.

Even if you use ASP, Access is not really suitable for use on a Web site, unless the database is small enough and you have very little traffic.

  • Data type of text is not displayed using SQL Server and ASP/VBScript

Maybe someone help me with this because I used to use PHP/MySQL, but I use for this a Classic ASP/VBScript and MS SQL Server instance and I don't know that much. The scenario is I have an old site that was designed using html tables and I do a CSS/XHTML update on Visual design. As long as we are here, there are some pages that are dynamic and use a MS Access database and we thought it's a good time to upgrade from MS SQL Server (2005, to be exact). No time/money for bringing classic ASP VBScript in ASP .NET.

Overall, the upgrade went fairly well, especially just to create a new connection to the DB in SQL Server in Dreamweaver after all the tables and data were migrated to SQL Server. Almost everything works as it should. A problem though.

For some reason, the data of the data type 'text' in SQL Server is not appear (or sometimes appear). I even tried to recreate the recordsets and binds fresh data and the code is more or less identical to what we had before. Anyone know what's happening, or how I can get this data to show?

I think that there is perhaps some simple and double quotes in the text data and which could be screwing things up. I was hoping there is only a simple function that I could apply the code, but as I said, I don't know.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Your text field should be the last of your select statement, as
its not stored in the table with the other data, its stored elsewhere,
as a binary object, should be treated differently. Its common
the migration of the access problem.

  • Dreamweaver CS4 for ArrauHouse

    Dear Adobe Dreamweaver community,
I have developed an education extended, not-for-profit site on pianist Claudio Arrau for the last twelve years (see "ArrauHouse").
I am pretty illiterate about the technical aspects of computing and until recently, I could count on the good services of a contributor on the site for all my computer problems.
I use Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 that satisfied all my needs and meets the objective and scope of the Web site.
    My question is this:
I lost the connection records and files of the tool of Dreamweaver on my desk. This tool is here where I work every day to day information, add pictures and generally to develop the Web site.
All folders and files are in Dreamweaver in my computer, I can see through an alternative route. Only the working tool Dreamweaver more access to them. The files cannot be worked within this working tool.
He has no problem with the connection of the files on my computer for the software security CuteFTP 9 and this software to host Aabaco (Yahoo).
Are there in the community a kind, well informed someone who could access my computer live and see how to restore the link between the files from my hard drive and the tool of Dreamweaver on my desk?
    Very grateful.  José-Manuel.

  • Dreamweaver CS4: "license for this product has stopped working": error 6

I'm working in Dreamweaver CS4. Suddenly, I'm unable to use the program at all. Windows 7 is the operating system.

It opens and the load, however a white box is displayed indicating that "licensing for this product has stopped working" error 6. Then the program automatically stops.

I have a valid version of DW CS4 which I have used for years. The original DVD is here with a valid serial number always on the case.

Already I ran the "Adobe licensing repair tool: nothing helps.» I followed the procedures outlined tool until the 4th and final stage - nothing.

I need to access this program as soon as POSSIBLE because I need to update a Web site with it. Time is crucial.

  • Cannot install Dreamweaver CS4 on WIndows 7.  Setup error

I can't install Dreamweaver CS4 on WIndows 7.  I get a vague error that says: Setup error, sontact Adobe customer service. Customer service Adobe refuses to help me.  That really bothers me.

First of all, I want to thank the people who have responded to my message.  I am impressed by your desire to help and interest to my problem of extreemly.  Thank you very much! I appreciate it.

I've not seen a way to get a transcript of my cat.  I should have it printed at the end of my cat. Overall, I think my concerns are with Windows itself and also how Adobe as a company manages a call from someone who gets a Setup error that says "call Adobe customer service. I bought this program runs on Windows 7 and I'm installing on a Windows 7 computer. I think that if Adobe will give a vague error message and tell you to contact them, they should give me more help "your product is too old, good luck on the forums. I could see if I call and ask him how to do something, maybe that my product is too old for this, but I think their reaction was unacceptable.  I hope that enough other people are complaining so that Adobe changed this policy.

Wow, it took a lot of time to deal with. I guess it's mainly a Windows file permissions problem, but I think that Adobe should a property for a client to have to spend many HOURS trying to install their program on the operating system original they bought the program for.

Certainly, I don't like the way Adobe Dreamweaver Setup treats errors. Here are the facts as I know them.

When Setup fails during installation, installation subsequesnt would fail, but it would give a VERY cryptic error indicating that the installation has failed and I need to contact Adobe customer service.

In order to re - install, I had to uninstall.  Naturally my UN-installs failed every time, too. After much trial and error and audit of the forumns, I found installation of program under c:\programs files. I deleted them, rebooted, uninstalled with no error.  Then I could re - install without the vague error "contact Adobe customer service.  Note that I had to reinstall several times to get to the bottom of the problem installation so it takes too much time to understand.

In the end, I had to manually delete the C:\Windows\Installer to get Dreamweaver to install.  It took a lot of time to understand, too.  It is always installed with errors, but he says that Dreamweaver would work with limited functionality. So far, it's good enough for me and I'm tired of non-billable expenses on that.

Following is one of the main erros I've had when you first install failed.  IF ANYONE KNOWS EXACTLY WHY MY INSTALLATION NO WAS NOT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW.  IT SEEMS THAT IT IS NOT HAVE THE OPERATING SYSTEM PERMISSIONS TO ACCESS THESE FILES, BUT THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE THAT THE PROGRAM IS INSTALLED AS AN ADMINISTRATOR. Any thoughts?

Thanks again to all who helped!

  • Dreamweaver CS4 does not start

I just installed dreamweaver CS4 on my laptop Vista Ultimate Edition, installation seemed to happen, but when I try to run DW CS4 I get the Green splash screen, which disappears, and then I get nothing! It does not crash the computer, everything works still fine, just no DW.

Some time ago I installed DW8, which does the same thing. Then bought the latest version of Adobe assuming that will fix it. I uninstalled the previous Macromedia 8 suite before installing CS4.

I uninstalled CS4 totally cleaned with the CS4 Cleanup utility. Removed a police log file marked as an error. All reinstalled and still have the same problem.

    Any ideas?

I guess I should be more specific. If I had the same problem you are
meeting I would do a complete search in CS4 folder for the file

  • Installation of DreamWeaver cS4

I downloaded the free trial of DreamWeaver (CS4). Installation seemed to go well beyond the end when a popup with something like 'verification system..' then came the following message "Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe customer support for assistance. "There was no error code. OS is Vista Ultimate 32 bit SP1. Tried with firewall off, made regsvr32 jscript.dll and regsvr32 vbscript. Rebooted twice. Nothing seems to get me past this point. Adobe technical support is closed for the weekend. Can anyone help? I don't think I want to buy this thing if I can't even installed the trial version. Chuck

I got to support. Place this post in case anyone else has this problem and you are unable to support.
1 create a new user with administrator privileges
    2. download and uncompress the drive root C CS4
    3. If the implementation does not start automatically, right-click setup.exe right. Run as administrator. It's in the CS4 Adobe Dreamweaver AbobeCS4 folder.

    Works like a charm.

I use Dreamweaver cs4 and am trying to create a new web site. Using 3 images on my page. Try to have a B & W photo as background for 1 frame and pictures of children of color in another frame. In addition, none of the fonts that I have chosen for the test in one of the frames appear. Only fonts for all basic text. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Open Dreamweaver (CS4), I now have the message "fatal error Parsing XML: structure of a document not valid, line 1 file: Users / {username} / Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CS4/en_US/Configuration/Workspace/Designer.xml.

I followed what I read after some searching around, which was to remove Designer.xml files. I deleted both. Does not solve it. When I opened DW, got the same exact error message.

I read that, if this does not work, try to delete the folder of configuration in the damaged file. Did. DW still gave me an error and does not open.

At this point, I don't know what to do, and I'm particularly confused because of this path in the error message that's not here yet.

Any ideas?  Is there a specific file or the folder that I should look at the files that load in case of "Extension initialization data"?  Files that need to be there (a list, if possible)?  If so, a way to replace all the files with those eventually downloaded online in case they are corrupted?

    Hi Daved65972939,

Creative suite Adobe CS 4 is a very old software and the operating system you are using is the most recent, so there may be compatibility issues that adobe has not tested these applications on newer operating systems.

However, you can try downloading & installing the installer for Adobe creative suite 4 CS from following link:

Download Adobe Creative Suite 4 products

Compare the size of the file downloaded with the display on the Web page.

Please be sure to select the language as Universal English as when I saw your Adobe ID (email address) you used to post here, I found that you have a Dreamweaver CS 4 to WIN what EU language recorded thereon.
