Dreamweaver CS6: Desktop interface is now abnormal.  Irreversibly?

Hi all:

In Dreamweaver CS6, now my desktop interface is abnormal.   I fiddled with the features of Mobile application development and now the files (usually on the far right) section insists covering up to the right side of the site.   It is mobile when I want to go back to his portion (right), too.

Could there be some sort of button "default" that I could find and click, to get things back to normal please?

Thank you and happy fall to all... :-)

Try to change your workspace - top right of the interface.

My SSD with a version of Dreamweaver CS6 running crashed. Now a new SSD is installed and every time I try to reinstall DW CS6 error "inconsistency in the database Setup" (in German terms) occurs. I tried to delete everything about CS6, rebootet and so forth--nothing worked. Two hours later, I tried to install DW 5.5 - that worked. Then I tried again to install 6.0 - without success. Can anyone help?

Thank you for your response. I could not find caps.db.

Meanwhile, I solved the problem as follows: I searched "dreamweaver" everywhere one deleted all that I could find. Then I googled "CS6" and did the same. I guess that there are around 20 or more places where I deleted files or directories. Suddenly, installation has not prevented, to 2%, what he has always done before and the installation was a success :-) It cost me more than 4 hours to understand this, and I have found a trick somewhere really help. Adobe itself I could not contact because I couldn't find an email address or a phone number - poor support for such expensive software. For luck, I didn't deliver something just in time. Missing a useful support, it's an attitude really poor, poor Adobe... I think that I do not buy not more products Adobe - it could cost too much of my time... :-(

  • Dreamweaver cs6

I need to re - install Dreamweaver CS6.  I don't see a download link.  I have a few extensions that do not work with the CC.  Extensions I have are not cheap and right now, I can't really afford versions that work by the PCOC.  They do not work with the 64-bit versions.  Is there anyway that I can always get CS6 without having to find a place that still sells CS6?

The site is 6 pages in total.

All display in browsers perfectly - they look correct to the office, laptop and smartphone views.

All have been approved by the w3.org for validation.

However, now that I launched the site with my hosting company, the 'look' that I get on the

  • Dreamweaver CS6 HTML5 document verification

    I have Dreamweaver CS6.  For Validation, it's now show 'this interface to check HTML5 document is obsolete. Use an interface for https://validator.w3.org/nu/ . {HTML5}

Is it possible to change the interface of Dreamweaver or should I download the pages of online validation?

I'm surprised DW isn't crashing for you when you are trying to post (it has been for most of the people, as the W3C changed the link to the validator).

You don't need to download to validate, however, change the "check by:" "Text Input" drop-down menu and paste the code in.

  • Dreamweaver CS6 and CC2014.1 won't open the files

I'm having trouble with Dreamweaver CS6 and CC2014.1 do not open most of my files.  On two occasions, a technology Adobe had access to my computer, but they were unable to resolve the problem.  A previous support via chat session did not resolve the matter.  After that the 3rd tech was taken out of my computer, the computer go haywire.  It was the biggest mess I've ever seen.  Suddenly he brightened and DW began to work properly.  I went on vacation and after his return, DW won't open most of my files.  I tried all the suggestions in the forums and YouTube.  Someone please help.  I lost many, many hours of valuable work time.

An interesting thing occurred.  I have just connected my desktop computer to a wi - fi connection in a hotel that uses the service of the Charter.  I can now open my web pages in DW.  A few weeks ago, I used a WiFi by another service provider and could not use DW.  After that I was in a cabin by using the service and everything worked fine.  Earlier today, I was connected with dish and could not use DW.  For 3 weeks, I was in Germany and elsewhere in Europe and had no trouble using DW.  So that explains all the problems.  There are providers of services.

  • Dreamweaver CS6 uses old deleted files: How can I get rid of them?

    Hello world

This is my first post... I have a problem which is really annoying. Using Dreamweaver CS6 on desktop Win 7-64 bit, I had outside assistance to transfer a website in html5 and CSS3. When the site was almost finished, I have imported the entire site and worked on it by myself using Dreamweaver CS6. This worked well, until I again had outside help in the index.html file. I imported the new index.html file which worked on the outside, but dreamweaver does not allow this: he continues to show the old index.html file that I had deleted before, even when I try to re - import the site etc. The web, I found that it might be useful to delete the history of files using regedit. I did and also tried my best remove every vestige of the old version, aftzer, used CCleaner and Tuneup Utilities 2014, and even once, it did not help. I thought then that the only way would be for installing Dreamweaver CS6, still clean my computer to any what rest probably filed or files .bak and then after several raises and processes of cleaning, I have re-installed Dreamweaver CS6, in the hope that it works now. However, new Dreamweaver came up with the same problem. Somewhere in the mists of your hard drive, dramweaver must always have access to the long deleted files and even once does not allow me to work on the new corrected index.html file. Anyone of you have any idea how I can get this working properly? Thank you so much in advance and greetings from the Lake District Salzburg, Giraldus

    Mr Hans-Günter,

    Dear all,

I have a solution: I open the file 'wrong', completely leached all the HTML and JavaScript, open the actual file with firefox, then copied the code from here and pasted in the now empty index.html file. Then, I stored this one and now it works and the old .bak? copy has disappeared!

Thanks to you, dear Hans-Gungter, and all who could probably thought about my problem with Dreamweaver.

and the best of Salzburg Lake District,

    Giraldus

My site, created using Dreamweaver cs6 shows only partial images.
He worked until a few days ago when I updated Java and Firefox.

The images are not entirely loading or do you have other problems?

    You can attach a screenshot?

    • Use a type of compressed as PNG or JPG image to save the screenshot
    • Make sure you do not exceed the maximum size of 1 MB

I noticed that some images show at the right end of the window and have set width: auto (right: 0px; width: auto) set the width according to the dimensions of the image (i.e. maintain proportions) and others fill the width full page.

  • Modified HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 desktop interface

Something strange happened to my HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 desktop interface.  Once, when I double-clicked on the icon, I got an interface containing these 7 options: Web connected Solutions, shares of Scanner, Printer preferences, disclosures of personal information, Shopping, share Fax and help & Support resources.

Now, when I double-click on the icon itself, I get only three: see what's printing, customize your printer and set preferences.

I can still scan (have not tried to fax again) if I go to the HP folder.  There is a shortcut for "HP Scan".  I don't see a shortcut for fax, however.

I tried to go to the Panel control, and then on programs and repair software.  It prompted me to insert the installation CD, I did.  Then I was asked to restart my computer, I did also.  But it changed nothing.

I can identify this problem at the time recently when I was scanning a large enough image.  I had some problems, which I worked out.  Can't explain it any better than that.  Something happened... I don't know what.  I hope there, can someone help me solve this problem.

Hi Patti_Mik and thanks for the answer!

I recommend to download and run the HP print and Scan doctor.

Please let me know the results.

  • What is Dreamweaver CS6 work under MacOS Sierra?

For the people of Adobe, read this: 10 years ago, I bought Macromedia Studio which included Dreamweaver. After that, I upgraded to the CS6

Now, I am in terms of photography.

I love Dreamweaver and I use it a few times a month. I'm not a professional. In any case I use it enough to pay €24,-/ month for a subscription of the CC of Adobe.

El Capitan CS6 Dreamweaver OSX works pretty well. Image-icons are missing in the file browser.

But very soon MacOS Sierra is coming (in about 1 week?) And now, I've read there is a compatibility issue with Dreamweaver CS6.

macOS Sierra 10.12: compatible Apps | MacRumors Forums

I would like to know if there are users of DW CS6 who has already experienced this problem...

Maybe it will be fixed with the final version of the Sierra. But maybe not. And it will mean the end of me to be able to use Dreamweaver. :-(

I bought CS6 4 years. I think it is absurd that it becomes unusable so early.

CS6 released in 2012 is now 8 versions behind the current CC 2015.3.  And it is not certified to run on the operating systems Windows 7 or OS x 10.7.  If it works on El Capitan, great!  You can continue to use it for another 3-4 years.  Just do not upgrade to Sierra until you're ready to raise a creative level Cloud.

  • How can I purchase a perpetual version of Dreamweaver CS6 (was: Dreamweaver CS6)

Can I buy Dreamweaver CS6 outright?

Yes. You will need to contact Adobe to do this

Creative cloud now includes the features of Creative Suite Master Collection and Design Premium

Just remember that it has replaced the software is no longer being updated and some of the code it generates is more suitable for today's web.

  • Academic Edition of Dreamweaver CS6

I am a teacher of elementary school and currently employed full-time. I have the opportunity to buy Dreamweaver CS6, not open and never installed or registered.

The version is the student/teacher edition for the Mac. I would still be able to register the product by providing the appropriate documentation and ID?

I read the forums and there seem to be a lot of discussion about whether this works with El Capitan and seems many users said that it works very well.

My main concern is whether she can still be registered and activated. Any help would be appreciated.

It is mainly a user forum, so unless you get a response from someone with a STAFF badge below their avatar, the advice you will get here is not official.

Dreamweaver CS6 is now four years old, and it will never be updated. It could operate satisfactorily on El Capitan, but it is not certified for it. The latest version of Mac OS X it is certified for is 10.7 (Lion). If you try to buy CS6 directly from Adobe, the sales agent will not sell it for any version of Mac OS X late 10.7.

I don't know how the registration and activation of the academic versions works, but if you buy a legitimate version of the program, there should not be any technical problems with the activation.

Even if you can register and activate the program, the fact that it will never updated means you run the risk to not work on the latest versions of Mac OS X. purchase a perpetual license does not mean that the software will work in perpetuity.

In my view, that there are special academic rates for the creative cloud. Although it's in progress payments, it might be a better investment than CS6.

  • Purchase Dreamweaver cs6 product keys

I am a student with a laptop computer (windows 10). I am taking a web design class this term and we learn using Dreamweaver CS6 (provided on the PC of the school). I just downloaded a free trial of Dreamweaver CS6 software to my laptop for the purpose of working from home, but my class is more than 30 days. I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a valid product key, so I have the product for my entire class. I didn't want for the paid version of creative cloud monthly (I know it's different from the CS6 in some respects, and my teacher won't slow down to prevent users CC upward with CS6 users). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

A free trial is good for 30 days and then it times out. You must pay for your software to continue to use it.

Full price for CS6 in the United States is about $900.  It is old software is no longer supported.  There are 4 years behind the current version of the creative cloud and it will never pass to run on newer operating systems.  It is what it is.

To buy the CS6, you call Adobe by phone.

    Call the 800-585-0774.

On the other hand, creative cloud is updated regularly (about 3 times a year) and includes all CC titles of software, services and mobile applications.  Qualification of the students & teachers can get creative cloud for only $19.99 per month which equals 60% on the price of the regular subscription for $49.99 per month.

    Students & teachers

Software and services for creative professionals | Adobe Creative Cloud

In other words, you can pay $900 + buy CS6, or you can join the creative cloud for 1 year and pay $240.  I think that the creative cloud is a much better deal, don't you?

Incidentally, CS6 legacy is available for download from your Creative Cloud Desktop app by going to Applications > all THE APPS > PREVIOUS VERSIONS.   Many members of creative cloud have several versions of the same software installed on their machines.
