Drive hard HP 15-p030nr removal?

I have removed all screws at the back of the laptop and can not see how the body separates to get access to the hard drive. Any help would be great.

    Hello Debra

It will be interesting to know which laptop computer Toshiba a 160 GB HARD drive.

Anyway: it's really not easy talk if someone reports on data deleted somehow themselves. In my opinion, you should ask a friend for help that has all this in front of him and can much better deal with it. On this way, we can only speculate and you won't be size just your time.

  • Replacing the drive HARD on Satellite P10

I would like to upgrade from my HARD drive, I have not find how proceed (which screws to remove to the opening of the machine). Where can I find explanations?

    Hello

To remove the HARD drive, first remove the battery and optical drive. First you must remove the four black screws that get the aluminum shield covering the HARD drive. After that take it out.

Gently pull the HARD drive towards the front of the computer to disconnect the system board, and then take it out. The last step is to remove the four screws that attach the HARD drive to the HARD disk case.

    Good luck!

  • Drive HARD Toshiba guaranteed external profile corruption

    Hello

I have a Toshiba secured 200 GB device. I moved some data from my laptop with Windows Vista 32 bit Edition on this disc.
Then I tried to work with this pluging of data from the device on my new laptop with Windows 7 64 bit Edition.
There was an error and the certificates to mount the drive on the new system (this is what Windows)

Now I have can´t access to my data or on Vista or Windows 7.

The unit shows a log of errors with this report: "the secured unit may be abruptly removed or disconnected.
Reboot the system and plug the device to solve this problem. »

No matter how many times I reboot my computer and repeat the process, there is no way to access my data again.
I can record a new finger but I Don t want to lose the chance to recover my data.

    Thank you very much.

In my opinion, you should contact Toshiba service provider and ask for help. They should provide support for the Toshiba device.

How to replace a new drive hard satellite 1670cds
do I have to remove the keyboard?
    wath is the GB limit

    Hi Theo,.

HARD drive is mounted on your machine fest, and it is not easy to change. First you have to remove the keyboard, then view and top of page coverage too. If you want to do it yourself, be careful. If you do something wrong, it can be very expensive.

It is not easy to say which is the limit of the HARD drive, but I'm sure you can use 10 GB with no problems. Try to contact the after-sales Service of Toshiba partner. Perhaps, they can give you specific information.

  • Qosmio x 300 15 t drive hard master wrong password, but know the user password

I don't know if it's in the right forum, but I have a problem with my internal hard drive. I put a main HARD drive password and user password using the BIOS HARD drive. Some time later I discovered I have to tapping the bad HARD drive a master twice on the confirmation, as it is coming from wrong when I try to remove it! I can still access the floppy using the password 'user HDD' both within the laptop, but a HARD one master drive value, I can't remove the locks. This means that I can't get out my drive and put it in a USB caddy or access it from another PC or laptop. I backed up all that is on it, so data loss is not a concern, but is it possible to remove the password if you know the password? I don't want to use this drive in my laptop, and then my laptop if effrondrent on me that the hard drive is basically locked on this laptop unless I find a way to get rid of the master password - that would mean the loss of data in the future to come if the laptop is dead!
The drive is a TOSHIBA MK1059GSM with firmware 50IDF3DMS (I post the serial number). I would just buy a new drive, but as it is a 1000 GB, and they are expensive, I would find a means to correct the password to disk than to spend the money a brand-new car. Like I said, data loss is not a concern, I just want to go to a fully usable state!
If anyone knows a solution, please let me know!

Thank you very much for this useful information, samspin!

  • Cannot eject the disc hard ultrabay in ' Safely Remove Hardware and and eject the media.

    Just installed my T430s with Win7 x 64.
But I have a problem to the ejection of my hard drive in ultrabay using the icon "Safely Remove Hardware and and eject the media.

I installed the latest Intel Rapid storage driver (RST) worm. 12.8.10.1005 download of Lenovo.

UltraBay drive hard not in the list using the driver Lenovo RST!

If I use the native Win7 driver (Standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA Controller), it works:

Works very well using native driver.

I guess that the Intel RST pilot could have some improvements to the native driver... so I would frefer using them.

This is what it looks like in Device Manager:
    Driver Intel RST:

    Win7 x 64 native driver:

Suggestions... someone at - it a newer driver of RST?
Tried to find one at Intel without luck :-(

I tried today with 4 different drivers and here is the result:
1: "Lenovo" RST driver version 12.8.10.1005: best performance of all. Does NOT support ultrabay ejct!
2: Intel RST driver ver. 12.9.0.1001: a little slower than 1. Support ultrabay eject!
3: Intel RST driver ver. 13.1.0.1058: a little bit faster than 2, but not as fast as 1. Support ultrabay eject!

4: Win7 x 64 native driver AHCI: a little slower than the others. Support ultrabay eject!

Test drive: Micron C400 256 GB

Also tried Intel 320 128 GB and using this disc the native driver was also fast drivers Intel RST (did not try the 'Lenovo' RST).

How to join Lenovo for the 'Lenovo' fixed driver?

Can not install Win XP on another hard drive

    I work with a...

Any ideas on what] s going on here?

    Hello:

The problem is that you must incorporate the necessary sata ahci drivers for windows XP to see the hard drive.

Has Windows 7 and XP is too old an operating system to make them.

Read the info at the link below, section of Intel and then read the downloadable PDF document for instructions on how to integrate all the drivers.

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-operating-systems-and-software/SATA-drivers-for-XP-solution-on-0x0000007B-BSOD/m-p/114120#M17758

The only other way to install XP on this model is to go into the bios, the storage section and change the setting of sata ahci to ide emulation, save the setting here and once again, when you go out.

The problem is that if you do this, you cannot change the setting for the preferred setting of DCIS, unless you know how to install the correct ahci sata driver after installing XP from the controller.  If you try to just change the setting back on ahci without having to install the controller driver, the PC does not start upward.

Try "slipstreaming" the drivers first and if you can't swing, install XP in IDE mode and I'll help you get the drivers installed, so you can change the BIOS to ahci setting.

  • Delete/reformat the drive hard partition (s) to activate the operating system reinstall

I have a HP 2000 2b09wm. He just broke, gives me the error message saying in that I needed a new hard drive. Suppose the old went kaput (even though I bought this pc on eBay not a month or two before). I have a new HD and a Windows 8 reinstall the software from a dealer on eBay. I tried several routes to try to reinstall the OS, resulting in many dead ends *. I asked the dealer to help, but did not get much. The last thing he offered was to remove the partitions in the new HD. I looked at a page eHow, how to remove Partitions on a hard drive. It is said to get a CD which includes fdisk.com. I burned super fdisk (2 MB) of SFbootablecd.iso and fdisk (40 MB) of fd11src.iso. I went into the BIOS to set the boot order. I put the saved first, CD/DVD-ROM internal drive and tried the two CDs. It always starts with just a screen with this:

    Not found boot device
Please install an operating system on your hard drive
    Hard drive (3F0)
    F2 System Diagnostics
For more information, please visit: www.hp.com/go/techcenter/startup

I even tried to put the CD/DVD ROM USB drive first... same results.

So my questions to you, I guess, is first of all, why the CDs fdisk is not start? I burn the evil fdisk? Second, do you know why my OS couldn't be installed using the software to reinstall? The guy I got it (http://www.ebay.com/itm/181524428825?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT) , verified_computer_specialists, has excellent comments, so I guess that the software is legitimate and the computer is actually original with Windows 8.

    Thank you.

  • Mounting my drive hard exFAT fails more than 70% of the time in Windows XP.

Mounting my drive hard exFAT fails more than 70% of the time in Windows XP.  I downloaded the Microsoft exFAT driver (Windows XP-KB985704 - x 86 - ENU.exe) and installed XP Service Pack 3.  However, when I turned the computer off and restart it, the disc will install.  I'm having this problem with several readers.  Looks like the player trying to get (new Windows hardware sound chimes when you plug in the drive).  Then rapidly thereafter dismantle it quickly sounded. When I take the car and plug it into my Mac, it is still rising.  Is it possible that I have to do something more to install the Microsoft exFAT driver?  The drive is made by G-technology.  I also tried to remove the disc before you turn off the computer and turn off the computer with the mounted drive yet.  Whatever it is, the reader is not recognized when I restart the computer.  I ran an on the disks and sometimes Apple disk utility, I get the message that the reader has a cluster to run repair disk.  After that, the player either go up or not.  There is no virus on the Windows computer.  The operating system is a novelty.  I use the system only to run AVID.   No other software is on the computer other than what came with it.  The computer is a HP 8600 workstation.  I mount the drive through a port firewire 400 on the computer using firewire 400 to 800 cable G technology.

    Hi motionpicturedirector,

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.
