Drive hard is not recognized and after fashion 'sleep'. Only after reboot it is recognized.

I installed a Seagate Barracuda 1 TB internal hard drive.  He is recognized only after a restart or cold.  After "standby" mode, it does not appear in Windows Explorer or disk management.

After a few weeks, I did the upgrade even to the second HARD drive, and again the old drive is not usable in my extern Dockingstation.
Does anyone have a good idea what causes this problem? The HARD drives are locking the entire system, if I try to access and some formatting.

    Hello

What do you mean by is not usable in my external docking station?

I assume that you have placed the 2.5 HARD disk in a USB enclosure that allows to connect the HARD drive to the computer USB port.
Is this good? So what harm s? Is not recognized USB HARD drive or what?
Have you tried to connect different computers HARD drive?

    Hello

    1. do you get this error during installation, downloading or playing the game?
    2. What is the amount of free space on the hard drive?

Method 1: clean boot the computer and check if the problem occurs.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: Follow step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

Method 2: uninstall and then reinstall the game and see if the problem still occurs.

Hello, I just bought a Western Digital Black 750 GB SATAIII. I wanted to clone my Samsung 500 GB SATA so I downloaded Acronis Clone WD edition... When I installed the new HD in the Bay and the old via USB as recommended I turned on my laptop and got a BIOS message "Please install an OS. I have the boot USB HDD the first value order. I think that because windows 8 is installed on that it would start, but no. I reversed the locations (new via the USB port and old Bay) this time window is not still 'see' my other. It is correctly connected and the USB Universal IDE or SATA cables are nine (cables to go). The strange thing is that I have an old IDE 80 GB laying around so I plugged it in via USB and it has been detected, and I was able to open it! I'm so confused and running on the hair. I contact WD and HP (MOBO manufacturer) also INSYDE BIOS manufacturer.  No response yet, so I hope that someone here has solutions. I tried to update the driver for the new HARD drive, but windows says that it is up-to-date.

They noticed that my drive was listed as "not initialized" in the screenshot of Acronis. I'm gone Disk Manager, initialized the disc and voila. I can access now.

    Hello!

I had problems with my Toshiba laptop.

When I tried to boot my system after a regular stop it does not recognize the HARD drive more.
BIOS indicates the drive HARD is not installed, the said BOOT Disk Manager failed.

Tried the HARD drive to a desktop computer and it works fine. This is not a new HDD SATA is recognized.
However, the boot sequence itself and other functions seem to be ok.

    Who is wrong?
The laptop is 1.5 years old and didn't have any problems before.

    Any help is appreciated ;)

    Hello

It seems that the HARD drive is damaged.
In your case the drive HARD test would be recommended.

Download the software called Drive Fitness Test. It the free tool that can be used for the test of HARD drive.
If the HARD drive is not detected or you will get errors, then it means that you HARD drive needs to be replaced and OS need to be installed again.

  • is it possible to see EVERY folder and file that exists on the drive hard on one screen and in one place just as you could do in much older versions.

OK... so I had an accident and there was good and bad news... the good news is that I was able to get it started and running "Save", but the bad news is that instead of giving a new image system clean (as I expected), I had a bunch of random pictures and other unimportant things and many important things seems lost but I think that its still all somewhere.

now... to the front sometimes there was a windows program called "windows explorer" that would put all folders and all files that was on the hard drive on a single screen, and you can search through them.    When I shoot to the top of the Explorer windows on win 7, I get a page with a bunch of files minor that some things in them, but not what I see already...

so... my question is simply "is it possible to see EACH file and a file that exists on the drive hard on one screen and in one place just as you do in earlier versions.    I did some research and went thru records that he will show me but I explicitly want is to see EACH file and folder that exists on one screen...

is it possible in win 7?   and if so, how, please

    Steven

    Steve,

Are you talking about the Windows Search function?

In Windows Explorer, open the top-level folder that you want to watch in [C:\Users\yourusername\Documents or whatever it is you want] then look in the upper right area - there is a white box to the right of the address bar.  This is the search box.  Type * and then pause and it lists all the files in this top-level folder down through its subfolders.

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded: run DriverView - set
SEE drivers to hide Microsoft - update those with Dump in their names. (Also
updated the BIOS and drivers from the chipset on the site of the constructor/the system motherboard).

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded
on your system. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is
Poster: load address of the driver, description, version, product name,.
company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit Maker as replacements and system manufacturer of device which are
the most recent. Control Panel - write - graphics card - device manager
the brand and complete model of your video card - double click - tab of the driver-
Note the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing
MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard
If there are 3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers
    you have.

Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restore)
and site (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get the manufacturer and device
their latest versions. (Look for the system to update the BIOS, Chipset and software updates
    Site of the manufacturer here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN -.
    REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you are
installation actually appears. This is because that some rollback of drivers before the
later is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot.
Make sure that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW to the device makers DO NOT RUN THEIR
SCANNER - check manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using
the above methods is preferable to ensure the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system
    and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable driver facilities
in the updates of Windows, which leaves on Windows updates, but it will not be installed
pilots who are generally older and cause problems. If updates provides a new
driver then hide it (right click on it) and then go get new ones manually if
    you want.

As you can see that the report informs me that media that I inserted is unreadable, but the media is readable, I tried to many Audio CD that will play perfectly on other computers

Just for some background information, first sign of trouble with the drive showed while trying to burn a disc on Itunes, with the message
"The attempt to burn the disc down, an unknown error occurred (4280)."
Since then the player dropped only Hill, in its current state, not reading anything

I have my suspicions that the optics in the drive can be turned, and it must be replaced, but id rather know for sure before I'll come and will makes

Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated
Thank you very much for your time

    Hello

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Hardware Profiles\0001\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

If necessary, you can try an InPlace upgrade/repair Installation which should allow you to keep the

And if nothing else works a new facility can assist and/or replace the CD/DVD drive.

    I hope this helps.
