New WD drive HARD black not recognized?

Hello, I just bought a Western Digital Black 750 GB SATAIII. I wanted to clone my Samsung 500 GB SATA so I downloaded Acronis Clone WD edition... When I installed the new HD in the Bay and the old via USB as recommended I turned on my laptop and got a BIOS message "Please install an OS. I have the boot USB HDD the first value order. I think that because windows 8 is installed on that it would start, but no. I reversed the locations (new via the USB port and old Bay) this time window is not still 'see' my other. I opened the Manager devices to display devices. A new figure, but when I right click Properties it currently says "this hardware device is not connected" code 45? ""Connect the device back to fix the problem. So I did and still get message. It is correctly connected and the USB Universal IDE or SATA cables are nine (cables to go). The strange thing is that I have an old IDE 80 GB laying around so I plugged it in via USB and it has been detected, and I was able to open it! I'm so confused and running on the hair. I contact WD and HP (MOBO manufacturer) also INSYDE BIOS manufacturer.  No response yet, so I hope that someone here has solutions. I tried to update the driver for the new HARD drive, but windows says that it is up-to-date.

Windows worm 6.2.9200, HP Pavilion g6 - 2231 w/AMD 8A - 6 4400 M APU, 8 GB memory DDR3, INSYDE worm. F.26 BIOS.

Thank you all for the reply. I was contacted by Western Digital, which had me send a screenshot of my disk manager and the error of Acronis. They noticed that my drive was listed as "not initialized" in the screenshot of Acronis. I'm gone Disk Manager, initialized the disc and voila. I can access now.

  • Re: Satellite L555 11 L: BIOS indicates the drive HARD is not installed, BOOT Manager said HDD

    Hello!

I had problems with my Toshiba laptop.

When I tried to boot my system after a regular stop it does not recognize the HARD drive more.
BIOS indicates the drive HARD is not installed, the said BOOT Disk Manager failed.

Tried the HARD drive to a desktop computer and it works fine. This is not a new HDD SATA is recognized.
However, the boot sequence itself and other functions seem to be ok.

    Who is wrong?
The laptop is 1.5 years old and didn't have any problems before.

    Any help is appreciated ;)

    Hello

It seems that the HARD drive is damaged.
In your case the drive HARD test would be recommended.

Download the software called Drive Fitness Test. It the free tool that can be used for the test of HARD drive.
If the HARD drive is not detected or you will get errors, then it means that you HARD drive needs to be replaced and OS need to be installed again.

  • External hard drive gives USB not recognized error

I have a Western Digital Passport 80 GB HD, which worked fine with XP until today.  I plugged this morning and received an error not recognized USB.  I followed the troubleshooting tips and online help.  It seems that in most cases, if you go to computer management / disk management, you can see the external hard drive.  This is not the case with mine.  I don't see the player.  I downloaded the recovery software, but everything is based on the premise that the drive appears.  Mine does not work.  Can someone help me?

    Thank you.

Unfortunately, this drive has probably went wrong.  Have you tried another cable to connect your player to your computer?  It may be a long shot, but it is possible that the cable could be damaged.  You may need to take your car to a specialist in recovery to recover the data.  I apologize for the bad news.

    Hello

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

  • Satego X 200 21U: drive HARD internal not external usable after upgrade

First, I changed the system to a 500 GB HARD drive, and everything was good. The old drive was not usable extern, so I left it as an emergency backup device.
After a few weeks, I did the upgrade even to the second HARD drive, and again the old drive is not usable in my extern Dockingstation.
Does anyone have a good idea what causes this problem? The HARD drives are locking the entire system, if I try to access and some formatting.

    Hello

What do you mean by is not usable in my external docking station?

I assume that you have placed the 2.5 HARD disk in a USB enclosure that allows to connect the HARD drive to the computer USB port.
Is this good? So what harm s? Is not recognized USB HARD drive or what?
Have you tried to connect different computers HARD drive?
    Otherwise, to do this

But if the HARD drive is not accessible, using the case of USB, or use inside the laptop, then I would say it is a HARD drive malfunction

    Why this is happening?
The writing and the reading drive HARD is a physical process which underline the material parts such parts can still die

  • Personal Media Drive (HDD) is not recognized in HP xb4 Docking Station laptop with HDX 18i

    Hello:

This is my first post since obtaining these three pieces of equipment.

a lot of problems with my new laptop and separate hard drive docking station.

But this one is the most annoying:

my HP Personal Media Drive HD10000x slips into a Bay (specifically for these players) on my xb4 docking station.

Connected to the docking station is my laptop, a HDX18.

Everything works very well between the laptop and docking station, except the HARD drive: it lights not or anything when you slide into the dock media Bay.

This is supposed to be 'hot-swapable' and everything, but it is just dead.    It's new, but I hate to send it back (at my expense) if there is another problem here.

    If someone has encountered this?

    Help, please!

    Thank you

You need to connect the power adapter to the personal media player - at the back of the dock XB4, next to where sits the personal media player.  So there are two adapters CA / CC plugged into the XB4.
