Drive recovery HP P7 - 1126 s HP shows 1.40 free 11.5 GB GB
I have a HP 1126 s Vision? with AMD A8-3800 APU Running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 and Norton 360 Version 26.4.40. Today the Norton or Windows backup did not complete and I got the error message Hp recovery was full and could not complete the backup. I did send backups to recover HP. I always back up Windows on a drive. Norton was back online and they want me to buy more space. I don't want my backups to go online or in the cloud, or anywhere but my discs. I deleted a file titled N360 Backup from the HP Recovery disk but only acquired between 1.73 MB of free space and 1.4 GB of free on 11.5 GB. Files left in HP Recov are: recovery changed on 23/12/2011, HP_WSD.dat amended 09/12/2012 and HPSF_Rep modified 05/11/2012.
What should I do next to free up space in HP Recovery?
Thank you

Windows 7 was not working properly and I tried to reinstall. However, after the installation, it starts but it does not complete the process and maintains the pc shut down before I could use it. I can now use it just because I installed Ubuntu and I can also access all other partitions of Ubuntu, one that contains the HDD Recovery folder.

Hello
You are still able to access the start menu in Windows or Ubuntu installation has been removed and the Windows boot loader?
If so, you are not able to start the HARD drive recovery moreWhy? It is very easy: even if you are able to access the files, you can start this feature because the original Windows Start menu of the preinstalled Windows system is necessary to start the HARD drive recovery feature.
So in this case, you need the recovery media (USB key) that you created using Toshiba recovery media creator.Of course, this could work without installed Windows, but there is no guarantee for this.
But why I m telling you this information? You can find everything in your owner's manual ;)

remove all the HARD drive recovery partition incl. disk partitions
IM in the process of upgrading to vista 32-bit Ultimate edition - a Lenovo T61 laptop OS original vista home, comes with HARD 160 GB but only show 110 GB disk.
There is the hidden for drive recovery partition. now, I've wanted this disk recovery partition removed for more space for important files of video editing. How can I remove this parition hidden containing the recovery disk?
I bought the support for laptop recovery CD - I have no need of the hidden partition.
in the process, I deleted the existing partition (not the hiiden recovery partition) and installed vista ultimate 32 and it lights without problem. I then installed
the INF chipset utilitty downloaded from the Lenovo Web site, and then installed some drivers downloaded - and all in perfect condition smooth running.now, I decided to remove that hidden partition containing the disk recovery - whatever happens after that, I have the recovery CD.
How to remove this hidden partition? TIA

The hidden restore Partition Lenovo is a protected partition, then you will not be able to remove it through disk management as you would with any other normal partition. You can use Diskpart. You can still use these steps to remove the hidden restore partition if you have already done a clean install, but you will need a 3rd party software to combine with the main partition. It is better if you remove the first hidden restore Partition, then cross with a clean install using one of the many guides available on this forum.
Step 1.
Burn recovery media. Type "Recovery media" (without the quotes) in the search in the Start Menu. Open the application and follow the instructions.Step 2.
Open the application by typing Diskpart either 'Diskpart' (without the quotes) in the search, or type "Diskpart.exe" in run by pressing Windows key + R.Step 3.
Now with open Diskpart, you must enter the following command lines:I. type "list disk" without the quotes and press ENTER.
II. Type in "select disk 0" and press ENTER.
III. then type in "list partition" and press ENTER.
IV. then type in 'select partition x' x = the recovery partition you want to delete (I think it's 1, I do not remember) replace x with the number of recovery partition and press to enter.
V. finally type in "delete partition override" and press ENTER.
That should do the trick. Good luck!

Satellite L670 - the system HARD drive recovery does not start
Hello together,
I have a problem with my laptop. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, that the laptop came with Win7 Home Premium 32 bit.
Now I want to restore the original Windows Home Premium. On the laptop is a second partition with a folder named "disk HARD recovery. When I hold the button '0' on start nothing happens. The beginning of doesn´t of system recovery.
Can you help fix the problem.
Thank you and best regards,
DinderHello
This does not work because you have installed Win 7 64 bit as you said here:
> I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, that the laptop came with Win7 Home Premium 32 bit.
But have you tried also pressing F8-> fix my computer-> drive HARD recovery?
Try thisOtherwise, drive HARD recovery does not work because the boot manager has been changed or damaged as a result of the new install of Win 7 and this is why you cannot load HARD drive recovery.
That is why it s always recommended to create a recovery disc before changing anything on the HARD drive. What to tell buddy you need recovery disks. I guess that you have a European model for laptop
You can order the recovery discs here:

When I tried to recover a fresh HARD disk recovery Windows, my little son stopped the proccedure by accident.
When I tried to reboot I get the message bootmgr is missing. I have a copy of the HARD drive recovery file but din not creating a restore DVD.
The question is if I do a recovery bootable DVD or USB of file file from the HARD drive recovery file?Thank you!!!
There is a method to create the USB bootable recovery DVD or ISO file - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD4103KB0000R01.htm, but I put t think this will help.
Problem is that this backup is really unnecessary. There is also possibility of installation of recovery disk original order. You can order it on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

Qosmio F50 - the hard drive recovery?
Hello
I had a very big problem.
I've made a few changes with my Vista regs and then I was unable to start again.
So, I started the recovery program (second HARD drive), backed up my files and selected whole HARD drive recovery.Well, now problem - everything was going well, but when I walked into the Vista installation I had to shut down the computer.
Now, when I start up the pc and load Vista I message I need to reinstall my computer again.Well, they say nothing about how load the recovery file but I have no option for this - only emergency mode, with the support of network, etc., but without recovery emergency. Moreover, when I select emergency mode, I can't load Vista-it says I need to run the Setup in normal mode, which told to re - install. Yep, circle-_-.
Model: Qosmio F50
Do you think that when I erase all the Vista disc manually - for example with linux, and then start the computer, I get a possibility to load the second part of the drive to start the installation?
Thanks in advance because I'm really despair
Hello
> So, I started the recovery program (second HARD drive), backed up my files and selected whole HARD drive recovery.
I'm a bit confused of m.
How do recover you the laptop?
Have you used the Toshiba HDD recovery option which could be launched by pressing F8, select fix my computer-> Toshiba Recovery?Usually, it is a procedure how to start the Toshiba HDD recovery.
I guess you didn't create a recovery Toshiba drive in the past is good?
It was a big mistake buddy because the recovery disk would help you in difficult situationsWell, as I said above; You can try to start the HARD drive recovery. If this will not help you I think that you would need a Toshiba Recovery disk.
You can order it here:

Portege won't go in HARD drive recovery

I did it in the past of the system while now the key 0 down however now I see when I do it is the label of "HARD Drive Recovery Mode" down left and then the operating system loads normally. No idea what is the problem here? How can I force the recovery process?
(I don't see the recovery partition in Windows.)
Thank you
Erez.Hello
HARD drive recovery option is available when the laptop to factory settings.
>... after a new of windows 7 has been installed on the system.
If you have installed your own Windows version HARD drive recovery option is no longer available.
In this case, you can install original recovery image using recovery media (DVD).
You have created the media according to the instructions described in the user s manuals document? -
Re: No HARD drive recovery on Satellite S995D-S5374 area
I can't do a recovery disc, it says that there is no HDD Recovery area.
The situation was like that, I wanted to decrease the size of the C drive. I did it with a program and then windows could not start and went to do so more and more.
I used a different windows installation disc 8. I used the reset option. And the computer started as if it was just a box, the only difference was that my files were intact and also my account on win8. Although scores are one in trouble.
Now, it looks like this:

I tried to do what he says here (opening the HARD drive recovery process), but it failed. I get the screen where it says
my pc need to be repaired and nothing was found or can not be found to achieve this.Yes, guyes, * please help *. I want my rear disc space and if it is possible to make a recovery disk. As I can access the recovery partition in my computer, can't do a drive recovery here?
p.s. in disk management, when I right click on the partition "Data", it is said that 'Help' and nothing more.
p.p.s. I Satellite S995D-S5374. And there was no disk recovery with it when I bought it.
In recent years, Toshiba doesn't offer recovery discs with new models of laptops with recovery media must be created by the owner of the laptop. It is clearly described in the document s user manuals.
Recovery media can be created if the laptop has only factory settings. As I see that you have changed the structure of the partitions and that was the big mistake. Of course you can do, but at the first recovery media must be created.
Please read the last post on http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=140985
Sorry, but now you cannot create recovery media or start HARD recovery disk image installation.
If you want to have the recovery disk and use it to recovery image installation, you need to order a new drive for https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspxIf you have any other questions you are welcome.

Satellite L655-1HE «Problem of HARD drive recovery»
Hello
I have the Satellite L655-1HE. I created a "HARD drive recovery" through "create recovery media. On the contrary, CD/DVD, I put it in a USB Flash drive. But when I used it, a mistake was "copy of splitpart or the Canadian Red Cross has failed!" After that, I can't boot my laptop more. There is a message "BOOTMNGR missing." I think I already deleted the operating system in the player. Please help me. How can I fix?
Hello
If you can, please try to boot again from the USB and run the recovery.
Whatever the problem, if the recovery is unsuccessful, I recommend the following steps:
-buy a set of recovery-store to the wire to https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu
-If you did, and even this game fails to install, take care to check your HARD disk for problems.Hope this helps

Satellite T130 - failed to restart after HARD drive recovery
Hello
I used the Toshiba HDD Recovery tool for reinstall windows 7 on a recovery partition. Everything went well until the end when the pc restarted and would not restart. So now that I'm stuck, I can't access f8 more.
Any suggestion?
Thank you

Hello
And what exactly is happening now? You have a black screen?
To me that sounds like it, something goes wrong in the installation of HARD drive recovery then I recommend reinstall Windows again since the middle of recovery that you created on USB or external CD/DVD drive. This can restore Windows again.
Theoretically, it could also be a hardware problem but I would try the middle of recovery recovery facility that s my personal opinion. ;)
