I have deployed a solution MRA and everything was working fine until yesterday, suddenly her we were able to establish calls (signs), but without audio thanks to the solution of the ARM.  So, I was checking the devices involved on this solution and I received the following alert of highway E:

I would like to know how traversal call licenses that I use now if I did not install all licenses of this kind?

I have to buy licenses to call Traversal? Where can I find the part number?

It might be, you should check the call history to see if it is the cause.  It could also be, is that what you are trying to connect to requires and RMS license.  The best way to understand what is demanding a RMS license is to make a few test calls to see what call fails and raises the alarm.

    SOLUTION: Is annoying, but switch to Internet Explorer as default browser and go through the procedure described above.  When I did, he received the license, which enabled Windows Media Player play all .wma files in the directory.  (It could be worse - the software could have go me through the process for each file separately.) Other players are still unable to read the files and it's still a nuisance.

    Limitation is only for the registration number.

    As gateway ISDN support audio connection gateway exclusively, with simultaneous simple T1 (T1 = 24 b, PRI = 23 b = D), maximum number of calls is superior to '18' as audio call consume only 1 b-channel.

    We recently bought 4 x LIC-VVCS-E-M-PAK and 4 x LIC-VVCS-C-M-PAK so that we can migrate all our calls licenses from VCS HW devices to virtual machines, but when I go to buy one of the PAKs I got for the VCS - C, is that display the following information available:

    Shouldn't it allows me to enter the serial number of a device from HW to migrate, then give me licenses relevant call too?  Has anyone else had experience migration licenses HW to VM that might help us with that?

    Please mention the discussion below, you will need to send a certain group with Cisco to process the query to rehost the option unit to the virtual computer buttons.  I am sad to say that it is not no matter how automatic background process that does this when you buy a migration for any product, it is all the manuals and done by the client most of the time.

    I was watching a call log FRO a call between a VC VC. And I saw these lines below. Can someone please clarify how the TMS is involved in the call flow. I can see the VCS C requesting a license manager and by sending a POST request to the TMS... Are TMS of the License Manager? or VCS are just inform the TMS of the call?

  • Several license files allowed after upgrade?

    In our last version of the license (LM 10.13) server, you may have several .lic files and simply point to the folder that contains the license server: C:\Program Server\Licenses of VMware license. That's what we are doing today.

    When I run the installer for the update of the upgrade DVD U3 license server (vmware - licenseserver.exe) it forces me to specify a path to a specific license (.lic) file.

    Anyone can check that after the upgrade that I'll be able to go back and just point to the folder that contains or are we having to concatenate all in 1 file? It would be a bit of a pain...

    Yes, you will be able to stack license files.  In fact, we prefer that as we date of each license file so we know when wew bought in a blink of an eye.  We have a basic license file called license.lic for installation, then stack the rest here.  We use vCenter U3.

    I started a new job this week, and Adobe Captivate 5.5 was supposed to have been bought for me.

    However, after that HE set up my machine, I discovered that I have 6 Captivate.

    The rest of my team use Captivate 5.5, and that's really what I need as well.

    There is a process called Licensing backward, what we do for Volume License serial number. If your license is a license in Volume, then support team will provide you with the serial number Captivate 5.5. If you want you can send an email to [email protected] and send your query with the serial number and contact information. They will contact you and help you with the problem.

  • Need an instalation own Vista - no recovery disc

    Short version: I would like to have a clean install of Vista Business disc, not only the recovery media. I paid for the license (supplied with the notebook), and Microsoft has confirmed that I am entitled to it. But it is supposed to be provided by Toshiba. I contacted the store where I bought my laptop - they refused!

    Long version: I have problems installing updates for Vista on my laptop (Dungeon errors). I contacted the technical support from Microsoft, we have tried to implement everything, but he only worse (got blue screen several times, lost her!). The last option they offered was to do an Inplace upgrade. To do that I need the installation media for Vista. I don't want to (and can not) format the hard drive around and lost all my data. As I said, Microsoft has confirmed that I have the right to have the installation disc, but my store doesn't provide me with one. Such a drive will be useful also later - I don't want to format all partitions on every time that something goes wrong with Vista.

    Can you please tell how to get the disc?

    Two questions: 1. If I get the installation disk, the recovery media works as well? I want both, just in case where...
    2. what happens if I download the operating system, somewhere on the internet (just to make this direct upgrade)? Would this work? If I can download any version or should it be i.e. OEM version?

    I'd appreciate any help really. The system becomes worse and worse.

    just a quick question for the upgrade process. With this key:

     Video Communication Server Starter Pack Upgrade to VCS Expressway - TMS, Cisco Jabber Video for TelePresence 100 users CTI-VCSE-SPUPG-K9 TTC2-04

    I can add as an option on my VCSESTRTPACK and remove the pack before starter option. After that, I have a VCSE without refueling.

    But what of the Jabber user? How did the license provided for me?

    Can I install just the touch option even on MSDS and this will add 100 user of Jabber for her? Or do I have to buy a separate license for this?

    From what I found online:

    • You can convert the Starter Pack, either a control or highway depending on what part number you use (CTI-VCSC-SPUPG-K9 or CTI-VCSE-SPUPG-K9).
    • You will lose the integrated supply management and Jabber video/Movi licenses.
    • You will retain licensing additional call that have been purchased on top of the base call licenses.
    • You will receive basic application of TMS + 100 licenses video/Movi Jabber.

  • Failure of the motorway E - there are network connectivity problems or this peer has different support encryption (AES / non - AES software)

    I do a bunch of highway E and C, but it I show error on cluster of highway E:

    Failure - there are network connectivity problems, or this peer has the support of different encryption (AES / non - AES software)

    This highway is part of a cluster, but is not the master of the configuration. Configuration changes made on this highway may be lost. More information about the Clustering help page.

    What is the solution to fix it?
    Locally add cluster of highway or having to make cluster of 4 motorway between locations?

    How far are the peers of the highway on the other, what is the round trip time?  This should be within 30ms.

    Can you confirm that all highways in the cluster have the same keys option installed on all peers, as it is a requirement, call license quantities can be different, but the features option enable/disable keys must be the same.  Additionally, make sure that the version of the software installed is the same, that you have a version mismatch or could be active where encryption the other not.

    Regarding the "this highway is part of a cluster, but is not the master of the configuration... '. "this message is normal for a node that is not the master, as it is said just only make changes on the master, since all changes on the slave will be replaced by the master.

    Suggest you watch on creation of Cluster Expressway and maintenance Deployment Guide (X8.8) in case you have not yet.

But if we get that the CTI-VCS-STPAK-K9 instead of the VCSEVM, we have a limitation of 50 records and 10 calls trasversal, right? Only then the VCSE is intresting (culture and systems to support), but we want the Jabber options on it without buying an MSD.

    1 can we install the CTI-VCS-STPAK-K9 key as an option on the VCSEVM and Jabber use 50 records without losing other features of Highway?
    2 or is it possible to install the CTI-VCSE-SPUPG-K9 key as an option to enable Cisco Jabber 100 user on this VCSEVM?

    Or do we buy the CTI-TMS-SW-K9 with LIC-MOVI-25 (the different today: LIC-JAB-MOB-25, LIC-TMS-EP-25)

    One of the first things I would consider on VCS Starter Pack is that it is almost end of sale, first of September 2014, so think of this forward.

      • A single VCS will support up to 2500 records out of the box with a valid key.
    • As for the functionality of H323/SIP Interworking?
      • Interoperability is supported out of the box as long as no separate option key not required.
    • Options: LIC-VCSE-50, LIC-VCS-OCS
      • LIC-VCS-OCS is necessary only if you plan to integrate with Microsoft OCS/Lync VCS, otherwise it is not necessary, especially for the video of Jabber.
    • Can we install the CTI-VCS-STPAK-K9 key as an option on the VCSEVM and Jabber use 50 records without losing other features of Highway?
      • The VCS Starter Pack is a separate server from the VCS control and highway.

      • It is possible to upgrade a VCS Starter Pack for VCS control or a highway, but you will lose the original pack starter call licenses and Jabber video optoins, like they are not transferable.  The licenses or options you have purchases on top of the basic starter pack will however is transferable.
    • Or do we buy the CTI-TMS-SW-K9 with LIC-MOVI-25 (the different today: LIC-JAB-MOB-25, LIC-TMS-EP-25)
      • If you buy the VCS Starter Pack, it will manage the delivery of Jabber video for you.  If you buy a highway of VCS, you can also buy MSD and install Extension of provisioning of TMS is free.  To use TMSPE, you will need provisioning option keys installed in TMS, the difference between the start-up option keys are simply the types of devices you can fund, all kind of do the same thing really, but for the video of Jabber, you want to ICA-MOVI-XX.

    I'm tinkering with my Jabber/Movi deployment.  We are inscriptions of the transmission by proxy via VCS - E in VCS - C.

    The thing that I noticed however is that proxy records don't seem to obey our rules of subzone - they always end up in the subzone of default on VCS - C.  I use the same exact alias registering on the VCS - C internally and it goes into the subzone very well.

    When I check the proxy on VCS - C record, the alias is the same as if it was recorded directly.

    Is this expected behavior, or my subzones VCS - C would work for registration by proxy?

    Hi Nick,

    It's true! You cannot save a customer to a subarea in VCS control when registering through VCSe record proxy.

    If you try to save jabber in the subzone of the VCS control to use control of bandwidth, I suggest you to configure bandwidth limiting in your "sub-area of course' in VCS control to control the bandwidth for these endpoints registered through recording proxy.

    In general, I don't like much to the use of proxy registration, because there are some limitations, like the cash call license when jabbers on the internet ask each other.

    If there is no particular reason to use registration by proxy in your environment, I suggest you sign up on the internet directly to VCSe jabber customers.

  • LR upgrade - use on desktop and laptops?

    I have 3. LR something on my big HP at home and plan on upgrading to LR 5... on Windows 7.  I just got a HP laptop, but it is Windows 8.  If I switch to LR5, also would I be able to put it on this laptop, or because it is a different version of Windows, I would seek to a separate license?  {I didn't know the answer to this in one of my research results}

    Same license will work for both computers. Since you have already installed Lightroom 3, the upgrade installation is the old serial number, and you only need to enter a new. On the new laptop, you will need two serial numbers. You can get your installation on your computer basically. Go to help / about Lightroom and there is a link on the left side called licenses (I think) and two serial numbers will be listed there if you wait to do it on 5 of Lightroom.
