TMS IS involved in a VCS database call

Hi guys,.

I am just geeting my head around such empty things, so please easy tale about me

I was watching a call log FRO a call between a VC VC. And I saw these lines below. Can someone please clarify how the TMS is involved in the call flow. I can see the VCS C requesting a license manager and by sending a POST request to the TMS... Are TMS of the License Manager? or VCS are just inform the TMS of the call?

  • Why should store the database call should be server-side?

    Hi gurus,

    I use the tool obpm.

I have a requirement to store the data in the database. I catalogued the required tables. I wrote a so-called method "storeDetails" in which I'm defining all the required values in the DB and then object by calling the method of the store .

My question is why should he 'storeDetails' method is configured as a method on the server side?

    Kind regards
    Neya

There is a misunderstanding common and essential to understand. Even today, some people think that BPM Oracle 10g supports not both server-side and client (things made from your browser by pressing the application of the workspace)-side (database calls, web service calls...).

Methods marked as server-side mean they need the Oracle BPM engine to make the connection (for example the thread pool of database for database calls). SQL calls are thus only by the engine (server side). Separate the features of the workspace (client side) and the engine (server side), is an important way that customers can improve performance because you can choose to group together or both. Keeping the side Server and client side separate, you can scale the workspace as your number of end users increase. You can scale your engines as your number of cases increases.

The engine can do tasks side server because it is what has been built to make. The workspace was built instead to do client-side UI and to publish data on end users, according to the needs.

  • TMS does not COR of VCS Control collect

    Hi all

Our TMS does not collect call Record of VCS control detail.

(Reports > call detail record > Gatekeeper and VCS)

He collected CDR properly until 2 August.

But it does not collect no COR from 3 August until today even if many calls are housed.

We have not changed configurations of MSDS and the VCS.

What should I check on TMS and VCS?

    Any advice is welcome

    Best regards

    Kotaro Hashimoto

As mentioned in Magnus, is a known issue with X7.2 for CDR.

    Symptom:

TMS will not to CDR data type 'Gatekeeper and VCS' and the journal-web - public.txt in TMS log file will contain entries that are similar to the:

---> Tandberg.TMS.SystemAPI.OakPine.InvalidStateException: expected to find, but on the other hand find.

at Tandberg.TMS.SystemAPI.OakPine.XMLFeedbackReader.AssumePositionedAtTag (XmlReader, String tag player)

    at Tandberg.TMS.SystemAPI.OakPine.XMLFeedbackReader.ProcessCall (XmlReader reader)

at Tandberg.TMS.SystemAPI.OakPine.HttpFeedback.ProcessCallDisconnected (IXMLDoc txasDoc, RoutableSystem system)

-End of the exception stack trace internal-

    TMS Version 13.2.1

    Background:

Due to a change in the feedback XML VCS sends to TMS for events related to calls connection / disconnection, TMS is not able to correctly interpret the XML data provided by the VCS. For this reason, TMS is not capable of generating records CDR based on feedback data provided by the VCS.

    Workaround:

Currently, there is no workaround known workaround for this issue when executing software X7.2 on VCS. X7.1 and earlier versions of the VCs are not affected by this problem.

This will be fix with the next maintenance release, X7.2.1.

  • TMS 14.3 - auto connect problem - multiple call attempts

    Hi people,

I have a client with an environment with TMS 14.3, conductor XC 2.2, VCS 7.2.2 TP Server 3.1 and CUCM 8.6.2. They have several items on VCS and several endpoints of CTS/TX registered to CUCM Cisco and Polycom endpoints. There is a trunk SIP between CUCM and VCS. Conductor is integrated with VCS by using the B2BUA deployment model. TP server is behind the driver used as multipoint resource only for conferences scheduled through TMS.

We are having problems when planning a Conference at TMS using type "Auto-connect" and setting driver to dial a number to the selected participants. For some end points when the meeting starts, conductor made several calls try to participants, even after participants answering the call. For example, conductor connects to an endpoint 3000 CTS, CTS answers the call and connect to the meeting, but a few seconds later, conductor's call another attempt at the endpoint, then endpoint answers the second call and put the first call on hold.

This problem occurs for the following parameters:

    • Endpoints of Polycom HDX series
    • CUCM items of endpoint CTS/TX
    • Outside dial participants (those selected on the tab 'External' to the planning page)

The problem does not occur for any endpoint TC registered in VCS.

As a troubleshooting step, the client was trying to configure TMS to try to connect to the participants once (using the "Attempts to connect for scheduled calls" setting value 1), but the issue still occur.

Tomorrow, I'll be on the customer's site to check if this strange behavior has been generated by TMS or by the chef himself. I really think that it is some sort of bug. I don't know that their environment has been configured properly according to the Cisco documentation, because I was the person who made the project.

I'd appreciate any suggestions really.   =)

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Paulo,

a few days back we had seen this problem and I filed the bug "CSCui90143."

Currently, we anticipate that this problem occurs because the MSD is not able to understand the message of feedback from the conductor.

I hope that clarifies. I don't have to if you want to be able to access the bug or not.

  • Jabber/MOVI routing over VPN on VCS-E calls

    Hi all

I have a problem with the situation to follow.

-2 Movi Client via VPN Tunnel on the motorway-VCS connectet

-the two VPN tunnel on the same subnet.

    -Ice set up NO!

Now the problem is that the traffic is passing through the VCS-E but goes multimedia traffic, which is in this situation via VPN would not be allowed.

Is it possible to configure something that all signaling and media traffic is going through the VCS-E if the two MOVI Client on the same subnet?

    Best regards

    Georg

The call between the Jabber bot and video customers have the same contact address of sip and IP source address, then VCS will treat as non-traversal call (client is not behind the firewall).

That's why VCS won't stay in media routing.

You are able to configure the VPN client DHCP range for the different subnet IP address?

  • SIP spam attack and MCU and vcs - e call

as far as I know sip call spam attacks is done against the videoconference, connected with a public ip address, I disabled the sip but im not sure if my mcu and vcs - e with sound are vulnerable to them? they pose no threat to security for them? and if so, how? and what can we do about it?

It is a well known problem and it affects H.323 and SIP, take a look at the below threads:

    https://supportforums.Cisco.com/discussion/12340591/nuisance-h323-calls-SX20

    https://supportforums.Cisco.com/discussion/12613681/attack-vcse

There are many more discussions on this issue, the above, this is just a small selection. :)

You do not need to disable SIP on the VCS-E, all you need to do is turn SIP UDP unless you need it for voice services.

You can protect yourself by using a CPL on the VCS-E who will avoid calls to go through your MCU, or anything else you have sitting behind the VCS-E. This is assuming that you are using a combo of VCS-C/VCS-E, with the VCS - C behind a firewall and the VCS-E outside the firewall, for example in the demilitarized zone.

Having just trouble ask points of termination or MCU sitting in nature with public IP addresses.

These scans, moreover, mainly looking for systems that will allow them to make free international calls.

  • VCS video call preservation?

    Hi all

Anyway to make the video endpoint can preserve the appeal (no drop) when VCS control fail?

    Thank you!

    Daniel

This is not quite correct. Indeed, even if you set the routing of calls in optimal mode, VCS can manage the traffic in certain situations. Take a look at this admin guide x7.2 impression:

Do you see? For endpoints, for example, VCS still will manage the signaling. Therefore, I would say that there is not to call the functionality of conservation in VCS, not at all, even with the best mode.

  • TMS server and control the VCS

    Hello

We have a customer's request if they can change the usename (admin) of control VCS in the TMS server. They don't want to purge the VCS of TMS server control, because they still need all the TMS Server historical reports. Basiaclly, they won't use the username: admin more to managing TMS server. They can create another account in the control of VCS with admnin rights, but how they change in the SMT server without purge from the TMS server.

In the server of TMS, the VCS control connections tab, there is a place to change the password. but no place the username change.

    TMS software version: 13.1.2

    VCS Control version: 7.0.1

Note: I noticed that this option is available on the server SMT version 14.2.

    Thank you

    Kind regards

    Chris

    Hello

Using a different name that 'admin' to manage the VCS was introduced in TMS 14.1 (CSCuc88048). Not even bleed and add will help them, I'm afraid!

Your client is upgraded if they want to use a different user name.

  • How do you set up when TMS purge the information from its database?

    Hi all

I would purge the Pb on my TMS server and cannot find information on how to do it.

My server is encountering the limit of 4 GB for the DB SQL 2005 I have running.  I want to prevent the server from suffocation, so I pulled back the number of days THAT TMS stores for newspapers but he cannot find a way to initiate a purge so the DB can make room for new conferences.

I know what's happening every night at midnight, but I prefer to be able to open the purge now.

Is anyway to do this?  Is there a way to change the default time of calendar purge?

    Thanks for the help,

    Shawn

You cannot manually start the jobs of the TMS product interfaces.  They will work based on the calendar automatically in the background.

To see when they will work, Goto administrative tools-> active and look for the work listed as "purge the data expired in the tables.

BTW, if you upgrade to SQL Express 2008 2012, the database limit is much higher (10 GB).  In addition, support for 2005 will be removed from newer versions of TMS little.

I'm migrating from physical to VM for my VCS-C/E. can I connect ' my existing physical VCS both my new virtual machines to CUCM, unity, IM/P by AXL at the same time? or should it be done at the during the downtime of the migration?

The new virtual machines are not ready yet... always set up the production.

You can integrate physics VCS C/E with CUCM, CUC, IMP from now. Once you are about to migrate to virtual VCS C/E, you can integrate virtualized VCS C/E with CUCM, CUC and IMP and shut down physics VCS C/E.

  • Questions of FindMe Provisioning/user between TMS & VCS

    Hello

I have what seems to be a problem in service between TMS and VCS.

Using TMS to import users from AD (from 2 domains of x), everything seems to work, and can see the users in the provisioning of TMS directory. MOVI users use AD authentication which connect properly.

User login also works very well on the VCS (with connection LDAP AD). However when to call the findme users address VCS does not recognize the configured users? If you navigate in user accounts, the user is not displayed, if you run a search on VCS (users account address name or findme) findme VCS find the user. Once the user has been found and open if you click on save button (without changing details), the user will then appear in the VCS user accounts section and findme works correctly.

We use the TMS 13.1.1 and VCS x7.0.2 (Cluster).

I would like to know if you have solved your problems or you are still having problems? Any suggestions for help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Matt

    Hi Matthew.

Findme users must fill in the "user accounts".

But you must make sure that the VCS 'Cluster name' matches the 'SIP server address' in TMS.

  • Caller ID of VCS Jabber Video on SIP Trunk on the phone

    Hello, Netpros.

I am trying to find a way to show a caller E.164 ID when a call to a video client Jabber a UCM or a PSTN phone.

    VCSC/E 7.1; 13.2 TMS, configured TMSPE.

We have a VCSC > SIP Trunk > UCM (8,6) > H.323 GW w / PRI voice configured for the composition of and the PSTN destination.  We do this, so the Jabber client video can be used as a softphone, and so we can have transparent FindMe to voice and SNR to the video in either sense.  In TMS, we have a model of implementation configured with an address of the video, ILA and unit address.  He pulls ad office phone number for video of Jabber users.

    From what I read here:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/vcs/config_guide/Cisco_VCS_FindMe_Express_Deployment_Guide_X7-1.pdf, we should be able to see the caller ID when you call send out an ISDN GW.

«This section describes how to use FindMe with calls are routed through an ISDN gateway (for example, when you call a mobile phone, or any other destination accessible ISDN).» If VCS has Caller ID (Applications > FindMe > Configuration) defined to use the ID FindMe, the identification of the appellant presented will be the user E.164 phone number. »

UCM SIP config is vanilla, by

    ttp: / /www.tandberg.com/collateral/documentation/Deployment_Guides/Cisco_VCS_Ci...

However, when a video call Jabber is directed to a University Complutense of MADRID registered phone, we get "unknown caller".  When to call us directly to the PSTN, we see that the BTN from the PRI.

What is strange, is that if we call another client of Jabber of VCS (with all the same problems), directly into a phone UCM via Internet on URI (for example [email protected] / * /) through the VCSE, we see the caller ID name.

    Thank you, all!

    Joshua

    Hi Joshua,.

At present the VCS will only send caller E.164 id to a GW of H.323 ISDN, which is registered for VCS.

There a feature request in the order book to define if E.164 Caller ID or name/Video address on a per-zone basis. This will also be sove the question when the call is to go on a SIP connection, as in this case, a remote ISDN GW.

    Thank you

  • Warning in VCS and TMS (inherited from TMS Agent mode)

    Hello.

I have this massage in TMS and VCS system, how this fix?

in TMS: #2057 - Configuration Warning - The VCS is running in a mode inherited from the officer of TMS; It is recommended to switch your system to use another mode.

in VCS: the VCS is running in a mode inherited from the officer of TMS; It is recommended to switch your system to use another mode

    How to switch different mode?

    Thank you

If you are not Provisioning - remove the key to implementation of the VCS.

In the web interface, go to the maintenance, options keys, select the configuration key and press delete.

(it might be helpful to take note of the key first, where you decide in the future that you want to install it again - but it can be retrieved otherwise if you lose, IE from the Cisco Licensing Portal).
