• Extractor T540p and 'No package' update / Thininstaller

  Hi all

  I hope that ive posted this in the right place. IM currently facing problems with trying to get thininstaller to pick up pilots from the repository in update retrievers. Our laptops T530 see packages update without problem, but the t540p will see a driver (Intel Rapid Storage Driver AHCI), so I know that everything is pointing to the right places.

  I also installed the drivers manually from the lenovo website to see if there was some sort of compatibility thing going on but they install fine and function of devices without problem.

  I currently have a share of \\servername\lenovo\updateretriever\repository that the thinInstaller is pointing to the repository. All updates that are in the repository for the t540 have the active value. The machines are x 64 versions of win7 installed on them and have obviously checked that the drivers are all x 64. I also checked the things like the PnPID that is in the XML driver and he matched the hardwareID for the device on the laptop and most of them match (tried to add all the device entries in the PnPID in the XML field but no difference).

  It still gives me the error "not applicable to your system of packages were found.

  As a note, at the time of thininstaller, laptops have a win7 x 64 vanilla install on them. Could it be a prerequisite that must be installed as .net?

  I had a nightmare trying to get this working and I know that its probably something that im lack, but ive hit a bit of a brickwall. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

  I just fixed my own question, so for anyone who comes across this post, I was currently using version thininstaller 1.2.0006, after updating the installer for 1.2.0010 he finds all of the updates in the repository.

  Such a silly thing to miss but was unnoticed.

  Still confused as to why he picked up as an update in the first place. But the problem is now solved however.

  I can't find or wwwsite, HP Softpaq Download Manager or ftp server.

  Thank you for your concern about the driver packs. Actually, there is an absolute obligation of divisions of HP business PC for full support of Microsoft and Landesk management solutions. The table of pack driver to http://ftp.hp.com/pub/caps-softpaq/cmit/HP_Driverpack_Matrix_x86.html is the wrong link, and now the team knows about it and should be fixed soon. Just a mistake of a part of the website linking systems

  Insofar as the driver pack sp64674 it is indeed good for products that include the ProBooks (like the G1 650) of last generation 2013. It would be an impossible task to try to create a driver package unique for each business model of desktop, notebook and workstation with all tests associated with it. Driver pack hosts product families and includes the families of components similart all rolled into one. Did you try and use the driver packs and found that there problems? Please, let us know if this can be fixed. The file you listed is updated as more go through the tests and process issues that's why you don't see specific models listed yet. It should, however, work with Haswell-based Proboks

  20 GB is a very small amount of disk space for Vista or Windows 7.  Allocate more disk space.

  I use a Macbook Pro and started twice as well, and I allocated only 20 GB because I'm using a program under Vista, but all of these updates are too much space. Is this because Vista is older and this is why there are so many updates? Should I just use Windows 7? It's frustrating because I have no more space on the left but as 57 Ko... KILOBYTES! >:(

  A "driver" is basically a software instructions indicating how the operating system
  to communicate with a specific hardware.

  Motherboards equipped with what we can call a driver package because there are several pilots who settle on a motherboard. This 'package' is called the chipset driver.
  The chipset drivers control the functions of the cpu of the North and South of the bridge.
  This 'package' includes separated such as Eithernet, Audio, SATA RAID, etc. which can be downloaded separately if there is 'upgraded' new features of these drivers at a later date (btw - the disc comes with a motherboard or graphic card is almost always up to date).

  When 7 came out, how Lenovo updates all drivers for our machines?  Will we have to manually go through all the matricies driver we? OR maybe just download the ThinkVantage System update program after your have installed 7 and run and it will do the rest?

  Another way would be to write sort of an app that would have all the drivers for you download, burn disc, and then just install their after that 7 has been installed?

  Drivers coming to our team of web for the publication individually as they with other OS.

  TVSU will have the drivers available at a later date.  This later period depends on several

  factors:

  (1) the total number of drivers,

  (2) total number of types of affected machine and

  (3) speed of the web to get repacked for TVSU drivers to run team, that is to say get the XML

  fix.

  The pilots over the team must address, the longer it takes. The team will have to touch

  each driver at least once, add Win7 to the list of operating system support.

  Insofar as a large package, we (technical support) asked for this for years, but

  the problem now is the driver package. Every time a new driver is released, the package

  will need to be updated. We already do through TVSU, therefore, no driver package.

  I have a Satellite C855 - 2M 1 and installed windows 8.1.

  I installed the first upgrade of the video driver from Windows update (WDDM 1.2 02/11/2013 9.12.8.0)
  and it works well.

  Lately on windows update has been released a new driver (Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. - Graphics)
  Adapter WDDM1.3 - AMD Radeon HD 7500/7600 Series)
  I tried to update the driver but when windows restarts it does not load the driver and restore the old.

  I tried to manually uninstall the driver and updated, but it fails.

  Any help on this would be much appreciated.

  To be honest I m not very well why the autopilot GPU update could not complete successfully, but I guess that the update is not out for the AMD Radeon HD7610M, which is built into the laptop.

  I also read a discussion on this issue in the Microsoft forum, and it seems that there are other people having exactly the same problem with this update.

  If you're like me and upgraded your iMac that came with a cd/dvd drive internal... so he has to come out to give way to the fusion or the SSD drive, do NOT buy the apple superdrive.  It will work with your computer!

  Ironic, isn't it? Own Apple SuperDrive will not work with Apple computers. Shame you don't check here first that we would have warned you. Return Apple overpriced and buy a nice third-party player for a third of the price. I love the LG units. You can consider a loading plate because they are more reliable, and you can use these pesky disc when you get one.

  In my opinion, installing WXP on L40 is one of the most asked questions here on this forum and I recommend you to use the search function and search around a bit. On Windows XP Home Edition drivers there not much to say. I found the info your laptop belongs to the series of PSL4CE and I can see WXP drivers are available on the Toshiba support page. There is no driver package, but each driver can be downloaded separately.

  All you have to do is to install the OS and after that follow the order of the facilities. Check it please page 27 on PDF (Installations instructions).

  This update seems to be linked to the Intel WLan driver.
  I think it s not necessary to update the Intel WLan driver through update of Windows Vista.
  If you want to update the WLan driver then visit the page of the Toshiba Wlan driver or the Intel page.

  With regard to the second question.
  You can visit the European driver Toshiba page and there you can check what newer drivers have been released.

  There is also a tool called Toshiba [Tempro | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/generic/TEMPO_RELEASE/] that keep you abreast of software updates and the latest Toshiba driver as soon as they are released

  Hello and good day, group... We have here a few CQ4010F desktop computers. I pushed recently updated Windows and a PC (1PWC) now has a video driver to version less about that. The PC I compare (0SDQ) is great for video with full 1920 x 1080 is available and Acer E211H monitor display. For PC with the issue, the resolution will not be max (stuck @ 1600) and the screen credits. The goal is to get (1PWC) to the full resolution and correct monitor please.

  Here are the specs for the two because both machines are the same for the Prod #:

  Models: CQ4010F, ABA-Prod #NY650AA, stock video NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430, stock charge RAM 4 GB, 64-bit, SP1 Win7 (after windows updates)...

  I compared the pilots, and they do not match when comparing machines:

  I can not get the most recent driver to load on the PC with the question. I pushed for troubleshooting updates driver Windows on (1PWC) several times. All say that the driver is updated? I did a driver update... process also with the reporting of the pilot system is running when it is not.  I went to the site of NVidia and NVidia driver downloads tell me that the correct driver is installed, when it is not. Interesting java Nvidia GPU playback tool said unknown to the GPU video about the PC card product? The 'good' PC reports the right product analysis offshore GPU and offers even update a more current Nvidia driver. I as well before it is rip out together video driver and loads a basic 640 x 480 driver, then start in safe mode and reload the driver proper. But I don't know if I did the steps correct basic video driver load correction method.

  Hope it was not too verbose. I am running "on this feedback rabbit hole an and any circular or troubleshooting tips would be great. Be advised that it is the PC with the southbridge NVIDIA North/South wobbly mobo that also has problems of USB.

  For stupid reasons to list, I uninstalled the so-called 'High Definition Audio Driver Package - KB835221 [WXP]' using Add/Remove programs of Control Panel under Win XP utility.

  So now (DUHH!) none of my audio works.

  I searched the site for a replacement, but came with unclear results.  (Or maybe I'm just stupid.  ;-)

  Try to go to the manufacturers website and look for the package here for your audio files. Without the make/model of your computer, I can't really help much more.

  What mean of these messages, is that these "Firmware updates" do not apply to material in your specific computer. The two "Seagate Firmware Updates" are respectively for the hard drives of 250 GB / 320 GB and 500/750 GB hard drives. Your computer comes with a 1 TB hard drive, which is not subject to updates of the firmware. The "PLDS Optical Drive Update" is for another drive to CD/DVD only installed in your computer and also does not apply. There is no further action to take... Do not attempt to install these updates of firmware, because they do not apply to the hardware in your computer.
