The fonts are really small in the bookmark drop down menus.
There is a Firefox extension that allows you to enlarge the fonts in the menu and toolbar. You could give this a try and see if it works for bookmarks, too:
https://addons.Mozilla.org/firefox/addon/theme-font-size-changer/
Its button usually appears towards the end of the main toolbar once you install it. Once you have finished defining the desired font size, you can take the bar button using the personalization feature. See: Customize Firefox commands, buttons, and toolbars.

Menu bar 'View' drop-down menus do not work except option 'character encoding '.
V33.0.1 FF
For past several updates I asked problems with drop-down menus. 'See' on the Menu bar is an exzmple. Pnly 'Character encoding' option works correctly. Similar problem occurs in many other places including LastPass extension which I use a lot.An empty menu appears right without entries. But the problem is not consistent.
Heals the problem to the menu bar of FF and other questions of FF from FF in safe mode. But I can't find which plugin or extension is causing the problem.

Hello makatikid, try Disabling graphics hardware acceleration and check again.
You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).
Then perform the following steps:
- Open the Firefox Options window as follows:
- Click the menu button
and select Options
- Click the menu button
- In the Options of Firefox window, click the Advanced tab, and then select general.
- You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
- Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
In addition, please check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in the following knowledge base articles:
In firefox safe mode, hardware acceleration is disable.
Thank you.
- Open the Firefox Options window as follows:

Drop-down menus does not open. Click right box will not appear.
Hello!
Yesterday, I was working on the Wix site. I noticed that when I tried to do a right click to copy and paste text box never showed up. I realized then, on other sites, in the drop down menus would not open (as the ones where you select your State, etc.). I can't turn on the bar menu at the top of Firefox with the ALT key, but when I click Tools or anything else, the box does not fall down. Same thing for my bookmarks and menu of frequently used buttons. My right click works fine when I'm not online. I really like to use Firefox and hope that there is a better solution than to switch to a different browser. I use Firefox at work and it's there.
Please let me know if you need more information.
Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables certain parameters, disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:
- In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button
click Help
then select restart with disabled modules.
- In previous versions of Firefox, click on the Firefox button in the upper left of the Firefox window and click help (or click on help in the Menu bar, if you do not have a Firefox button) and click on restart with disabled modules.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:
- On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
- On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
- On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.
To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.
- In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button

I just upgraded to 32.0.1 for Mac, and from the drop down menus were shifted to the left. I tried to reset. I tried to reset Firefox and the problem was not resolved.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
- https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/safe+mode
- https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
You can check for problems caused by plugins and all the plugins to "Ask to activate" on the page "Firefox/tools > Modules > Plugins" (plugins are not affected by the Mode of Firefox safe)

All my drop-down menus are distorted by the change, the menus and menus on my browser websites. The distortion is so bad that I can't read the menu or choose a selection from the menu without moving my cursor around and sometimes not even then. The menu items appear extremely small or huge and images are too distorted.
I re-installed FF 26.0 just beta to see if that makes a difference, but it didn't. I took screenshots of the problem and then loaded into my picture of glasses at https://plus.google.com/photos/105852729254799413734/albums/5941369764239347457?authkey=CNXwwpfOrZ-gAQ
Hello stephericsson, this is probably a problem with hardware acceleration - please try to update your video driveror where this does not solve the problem, or there is no new version available at the time, disable hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > General.

I use a completely updated version of Windows 64 bit on a new ASUS laptop. I've updated to version 24 [IIRC 12] FF and browse the drop-down menus are not displayed correctly. They also testify anyway altered, too big or too small. When I run in safe mode, they work very well. I disabled all extensions and plugins and the problem persists. I have reset FF and the problem persists. It is usually a invalid parameter is passed to a routine and a mistake that should not be happening on not one but 2 versions [24 and 25].
Safe mode also disables the use of Firefox hardware acceleration of graphics. This method works around the graphics card driver incompatibilities. You should try it in normal mode and see if it helps.
You will need to restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).
the button Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) > Options > advanced
In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.
If you restart Firefox, is the problem solved (or at least enhanced)?

Drop-down menus blink and are not accessible.
Multi-site blink drop-down menus and are not accessible. Why? I tried to restart and will by default nothing helps. This will not occur in Internet Explorer.
Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.
Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.
- Firefox 21.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current version of Firefox, if possible, the settings in the software security and cleaning of the Windows registry.
- Do NOT remove the data personal when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because all profile files will be deleted and you will lose all personal data such as bookmarks and passwords from other versions of Firefox profiles.
Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
- (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.
- It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.
Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but make sure that 'delete personal data' is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
If you keep problems also create a new profile.

drop-down menus are not displayed correctly
When using drop/menu drop-down menus for example: bookmarks, top some elements do not display correctly. If I have the mouse on them appear, but as soon as I move the mouse somewhere else, they disappear again. I don't have the same problem on other applications for example: Internet Explorer.
I made a Firefox > troubleshooting information > reset Firefox, which made no difference. This used to work OK, I think that has happened since the upgrade to 20.0.1 but cannot be sure.
I am running Windows XP Version 2002 SP3
Thank youHello TR6Nick, please try to disable hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > general and see if that will solve the problem...

Update the drop-down menus and jQuery sortable collide with the 16.0.2
The drop-down menus that are contained in a table sortable jquery act as if they are disabled. By clicking on them, doesn't matter. I can tab in the menu drop down and control it with the arrow keys, but the mouse does nothing. The menus outside of the table still work very well. This problem only occurs in Firefox 16.0.2 on several computers, all equipped with Windows 7. The problem does not occur in IE9, Chrome or Safari. In addition, the problem does not occur in Firefox 15, but it occurs in Firefox 17 Beta. I did not see anything addressing this specific issue, so I guess this isn't a known issue.
The problem has been resolved.

En_cours_d' running Windows 7 and 15 of Firefox on my desktop, Firefox opens apparently normally, but almost all functions are disabled (drop-down menus - help bookmarks file, etc.) do not fall, I can't type a url, none of the links homepage work). I screened it for viruses and software malware, and none have been found. I made no recent change in the plug-ins.
I copied 15 Firefox on a USB key using my laptop and then downloaded to my desktop and my Office Firefox remains frozen. I don't want to lose my favorites and cookies to completely remove Firefox and reinstalling. What can I do to restore the function?
Well, you actually run 12 of Firefox, I would firstly update 15.0.1 Firefox. Update Firefox to the latest version
Then, after that, reset Firefox, Firefox Refresh - reset the settings and Add-ons. It will not erase your data, but will probably help the problem.

Cannot scroll inside the drop down Menus
I just got a new laptop (Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit) HP, installed Firefox 11 (now updated to 12) and discovered that when using the touchpad (Touchpad Synaptics v8.1. Driver provided by Synaptics, version 15.3.29.0 as of 10/13/2011), I can't scroll inside the drop down menus.
To replicate, go to this link: http://sacramento.craigslist.org/sss/
Click on the drop down menu to the search category. Use the touch pad to scroll through the list. Mine closed list and returns focus in the browser instead of scrolling of the list. It then scrolls the window of the browser instead. This works fine in IE. I tried the things:
Safe mode
Unchecking scroll smoothly
Uncheck auto-scroll
Uncheck the hardware accelerationAnd about all the various combinations of the above things. I also tried to restart Firefox every time I made a change. Nothing seems to solve this problem.
Oddly enough, if there is a window of text within the page (as I write this), I can scroll than fine. Once I move my mouse out of the box, it scrolls the homepage very well. I don't think that it is a matter of the development following the mouse, there something to scrollable drop-down boxes that specifically seems.
Also, I must point out that all the pages I have problems with work well in IE how they SHOULD work in Firefox.
I had this exact problem, the same features of HP and the driver Synaptics. I went to synaptics site and downloaded their latest driver which is lower 15.3.29.0 for some reason any. There 15.2.20, I got this one for 64 bit since that's what I have. You must uninstall the 15.3.29.0 first because it is "newer". He now works properly in FF and IE and everything else. If for any reason any the last FF has a confrontation with the latest version of the synaptics driver and FF devs had to include a fix in the next patch.

When you click the drop-down menus such as file or Tools menu flashes only and won't stay open long enough to make a selection.
Try turning off hardware acceleration.
- Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.
If disable hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

I was fiddling with the settings and change the opacity of the drop down menus (like when I get a few letters in the browser address window, and a menu drop-down is displayed with suggestions). The drop down menu is now almost transparent - almost impossible to read. How can I change this back?
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

The drop down menus work intermittently; all add-ons are disabled.
When I run the cursor over a menu item; File, Edit, history, etc., the drop down menu does not decrease. If I click on the menus, drop down menus will appear and then disappear. If I continue to do this for several seconds, the menu will be displayed when selected. I'm having the same problem with this help screen when I do a right-click with the mouse.
Thanks - Mike F.
In Firefox 4 and later Safe mode disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.
Try turning off hardware acceleration.
