dsconf: /lib/ld-linux.so.2: bad ELF interpreter

Hello

I have download the recent Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition 11.1.1.7.0 - x 86-64 , my OS base Oracle Linux 6.5. However, when I try to run dsconf util, it gives me 'bad ELF' error. When I checked the dsconf, it's a 32 bit file. Not sure why Oracle ships a 32-bit to 64-bit operating system. I did tried alternative generic, but no help.

Please let me know anyone has faced this error. No work around.

$ ODSEE_ZIP_Distribution/dsee7/bin/dsconf
-bash: ODSEE_ZIP_Distribution/dsee7/bin/dsconf: /lib/ld-linux.so.2: bad ELF interpreter: No such file or directory

Thank you, John

Hi John,.

64-bit binaries are shipped to the server process.

However, some command-line tools, which do not really take advantage of 64-bit processors still have dependencies on 32-bit libraries.

These dependencies are likely to be deleted over time.

PL publish details of your material. You have two choices - uninstall Linux 6 and install a supported (like 5.7) version - or wait until Oracle certifies that installs Linux 6 for database.

  • Installation of FMS on Fedora 11 (64-bit)

    Hello

I installed a fresh copy of Fedora 11 64-bit on my machine. I am now installing my copy recorded FMS 3.0 on the box but every time I try, I get this error:

    # ./installFMS -platformWarnOnly
./installFMS: ./fmsini: /lib/ld-linux.so.2: bad ELF interpreter: No such file or directory

Thinking it might be my FMS version, I tried to install the development version of FMS (3.5), but got the same error. I did some research and ld - linux.so.2 is separate from glibc if I'm not mistaken. I have the following glibc RPM installed:

    # rpm -qa | grep glibc
    glibc-devel-2.10.1-2.x86_64
    glibc-common-2.10.1-2.x86_64
    glibc-headers-2.10.1-2.x86_64
    glibc-2.10.1-2.x86_64

One thing I noticed that was shady, was that all my *.so files are in the Directory/lib64 and not the directory/lib looking the the installFMS. In addition, research in the Directory/lib64 . I found a file name "ld-linux - x 86 - 64.so.2" which is very similar to the installation file is looking for. I'm not very experienced with the libraries if someone can lead me in the right direction so that the installation can read the files on the right? Thank you.

    yum install /lib/ld-linux.so.2

    Need to install glibc.i686.

You can check if the following document is useful?

Use 32-bit JRE and its platform (32-bit) libraries *.so on OS Linux 64-bit to run Oracle Universal Installer of Siebel difficulty Pack + 8.1.1.8 (Doc ID 1524990.1)

  • Firefox will not load Java on Linux - even after following all the instructions on the net I can find - what am I doing wrong?

The problem I have is that I am running Puppy Linux on my laptop.

Now, I have tried everything I can to get Java works under Firefox, chrome, or Seamonkey (I have all three browsers on my computer).

For firefox and seamonkey, I tried the following-

Downloaded the tar.gz for java file
    he unzipped in/opt/java
went to/user/lib/mozilla/plugins and run the command
    ln-s/opt/java/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so
to create the symbolic link to the plugin
check that the plugin is executable (in fact even tried to give all full read/write permission and run it)

For chrome does the same thing but put the symbolic link in the/usr/lib/chromium-linux/plugins folder instead.

Restart the web browser, even tried to restart the X server where the browser runs somewhere in the background.

All three browsers can pick up all other .so plugins in this folder except Java.

When I click on check plugins on firefox I access the page on 'Missing Java? -For your safety, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Java. Please install the latest version.

However, the version I downloaded is Version 7 9 update that is exactly the same as that which is available under the latest version of Java is (it was only downloaded from this link a few minutes before, I even tried to re - download just in case there was an update in 5 minutes).

If I go to the Java folder and run the control panel of the Java Control Panel appears, and he knows where Java is installed and everything.

So what's happening? I have installed the plugin in the right directory? I guess then that is where all the other plugins are stored and Firefox, Chrome and Seamonkey are picking all others upward fine, or would there be an old version of Java lurking around somewhere on my system, Firefox, Seamonkey, and Chrome are trying all to use it?

I also tried to download the RPM and posing in the folder/usr/java and replacing the symlink/opt/java than in the folder/usr/java and still nothing.

I don't really understand it ' cos it's picking up all the other plugins like Gecko and even installed Flash in the same way and that works very well.

libjavaplugin_oji.so is the classic Java plugin.

You need the libnpjp2.so of next generation plugin (for examplejava/lib/i386/libnpjp2.so) for current browsers.

  • Card nvidia, Linux Mint and W520?

    I'm on a W520 possessing a videocard of nvidia Quadro 1000 m, running Linux Mint 17 xfce (64-bit)

Hi, I just upgraded my Ubuntu 8.10 Linux box. And then, I found that LabVIEW 8.2 cannot work on this, but it worked fine on Ubuntu 8.04. Does anyone have the same problem? Are there solutions?

    See you soon,.

    Forrest

OK, now it works very well. I guess the problem is that I deployed LabVIEW on Ubuntu 8.10 Release Candidate. The stable version has no problem.

  • NDK BlackBerry 10.2 on Ubuntu/Linux question

I already posted this in the announcement thread, but I'm doing a new topic just to keep things organized.

FINALLY, the 'Mode' button which allows you to preview the qml files is clickable in the NDK 10.2 on Linux. But it never works. Is it possible to fix this? I get a pretty useless error:

«Problem loading the qml file: unable to render the QML preview»

I really hope it's fixable, because it's the biggest feature and it has completely disappeared from the Linux builds since the first little Beta SDK.
    Anyone having problems with this?

BTW, the QML preview depends on libosmesa so don't forget to install the package of the company with

    # apt - get install libosmesa6:i386

Dig a little deeper, I found that glGetString is provided by libGL.so but libbbcascades - IDE.so is not bound to it, which causes the undefined symbol error. A little, I solved the problem by preloading version i386 libdl, in this way:

    LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/i386-Linux-GNU/Mesa/libGL.so.1.2.0/opt/bbndk/qde

And now, I saw QML working on Ubuntu 13.04 x 86-64!

    I hope this helps you.

  • Running a command in Linux

    Hi expert,

I wrote this java class, it works on Windows, but not Linux.

Seems not to run the code you have any idea why?

    (1) you provide a userlogin
    (2) check if the userlogin file exists
    (3) otherwise it create a file whose name and content would be the userlogin.

for example, you provide 'John', and it will create/home/oracle/JOHN that contains the string 'JOHN '.

    Thank you

I don't understand how this code can work under windows but...

You have a fundamental misunderstanding. Under Linux the ">" operator must be interpreted by a shell. This means that you must use the version of the table of Runtime.exec () and make your order

               String[] oInstruction = {"bash", "-c","/bin/echo " + pLogin.toUpperCase() + " > " + oFileName};

Replace your execute() method to get the signature

       private static boolean execute(String[] pInstruction)

You manage also not "stderr" process flow at all. You should read http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-12-2000/jw-1229-traps.html and apply ALL the recommendations. Otherwise you can cause a significant loss of hair.

P.S. I used 'bash' but you are free to use any shell you want, but make sure you read the appropriate shell manual page.
