Dualview on 2 external displays Satellite P100

I just bought a Satellite P100 to replace my desktop computer is waiting for that, since it has two outputs for external monitor I could drive two external monitors simultaneously using DualView.

It would seem that I have either:

Internal display + display DVI connector

or

Internal display + screen VGA connector

Is it possible to have:

Display connector DVI + VGA connector display?

Hello

To my knowledge it of only possible to use an external output.
Therefore, you should be able to use the DVI output with the internal display or the RGB port (port monitor)

But it of not possible to use both DVI and RGB.

  • Problem with external monitor when used with the Satellite P100-434

I'm trying to use a Vizitron L - 151 monitor flat screen connected to the VGA port on the back of my Satellite P100 - 434 (PSPADE)

I find that the screens seem to periodically - feeding cycle windows resize themselves and then the screens settle down again. This happens with the laptop and the external monitor.

I've updated the latest available BIOS V4.20 (November 2, 2007) I use 7.15.11.6369 NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 driver version. I'm under the edition of Vista Home Premium to standard build.

I even resorted to the use of the dvd system recovery to rebuild completely the laptop and the problem persists. In Device Manager I have generic Non - PnP monitor and below that I have a generic PnP monitor I tried and it is not possible to get specific drivers for the monitor Vizitron L-151. * NOTE * I saw dxdiag that the external display is identified the Non - PnP device

The display configuration that I'm trying to use is to have my laptop as the main screen with the external display on my left as an extension to the desktop. In display config my computer screen appears as number 2 with the additional display in the poster as a device 1

While typing this my screens have made this three times and the last time, this IE7 window installs itself to the external display in restored down to size.

If anyone has a glimpse of it, I would be very grateful. There are no problems when the external display is deleted.

I've found another thread on the setting of the external screen as main screen:

    According to this statement:
    > In display config my computer screen appears as number 2 with the additional display in the poster as a device 1
It seems that the external monitor has been on the main screen and display books internal as external.

I recommend you change this settings and to use books appear as 1 and the external display form 2.

  • Satellite P100 - display problem after installing the Samsumg software

    Hello

I have a Toshiba P100-PSPA3 and just bought a new external monitor Sincmaster from Samsung. I installed it yesterday and everything works fine, I just plug in and the laptop recognizes it as a second monitor. Then I noticed the monitor comes with a CD and they recommend you to install the components of this CD.

I installed the driver and still works fine but then I installed a software called * Magic money *, it is said that I should make a new start, I did and the image comes in the second monitor, * my laptop screen is black.*
Then I begin to try all the possible solution I had in my head. I open this Magic Tune, and he says that it s not compatible with my computer, so I uninstall it. I have downloaded the drivers from Nvidia, Toshiba, installed again and again doesn´t work.

I prove with the nvidia settings and the West without change. NVIDIA doesn´t recognize my laptop as a monitor, screen it recognizes just the Samsumg Sincmaster.

I looked for people with the same problem in other forums and a possible solution was to turn off the computer, remove the battery and press the power for a few seconds, trying to carry out the computer. I did and it didn t work.

Someone here could give me a light? I m totally lost now and I have to work with my computer in the next few days!
    Thank you very much

    Hello

This software is not known to me and it is important to say that notebook manufacturers may not support some third part software.

I put t know if this software must be preinstalled but I'm sure you can use your external display without it. When the external display is connected, you can switch between the LCD and external monitor by using the FN + F5 key combination. If you want to extend the display outside a use Windows display settings. It should work. I tested several laptop Toshiba with a few different monitors in my office and I n t noticed no problem.

Have you already solved your problem or you are still looking for the solution?

  • Satellite A10: RGB Port is not installed - can not use external display

Satellite A10 the RGB PORT is not installed & cannot be used as external display. I tried to install the communication or COM 1. interrupt code. What are the possible solutions?

    Hello

What did you mean by "not installed"?
Generally, you don't need to install anything. You don't need any drivers for this port 3.
Windows XP drivers should work properly.

Please check device manager if there are errors or yellow exclamation points.
If the problem occurs for a short time, you can try to use the WinXP restore tool.
This tool will reduce the BONE until the start.

  • Broken screen, external display mode standby with Satellite A10 S203

Of my Toshiba Satellite A10 S203 screem is broken, it's all guts, the colors and the black spaces. I plugged the laptop with an external display, but as soon as Windows starts the external display is in stand by. How can I change this?

    Hello

I had this problem as well before. After Windows starts the video reset Resets the video output to LCD screen instead of external monitor. Once this is the case try to use the Fn + F5. If this does not work, you might be able to start and press F8, once it gives you the windows selection menu go to safe mode. Once there go to video properties and change the default settings for the external monitor and try to restart normally. Should do wonders. Hope this helps, if not let me know.

  • Satellite P100-276 - can't reinstall Vista from external CD drive

Cannot install external CD drive Vista
    Options
    ? 15/03/2013 15:03

My Toshiba P100-276 Vista Home Premium crashed for the last time, so I bought a new hard drive.
Internal CD player had not worked for some time, but had happened before.
It would always work again when I reinstalled Vista.
    Not now, however.
So my pc - guy installed the new drive and tried to install Vista from my USB - CDRom-drive.
Which has resulted in these messages:
    http://wikisend.com/download/996858/20130313_160410.jpg
    and:
    http://wikisend.com/download/363738/20130313_171457.jpg

Googleing it, it turns out that you can solve this problem by changing the 'compatibility' mode in the bios, but not in MY bios.
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB0402V30000R01NL.htm

Install a new CD player might settle it, but would be costly and complex at the same time.
I'm writing this using Ubuntu, who btw had no difficulties to install from the external drive.

    All solutions?

In the past, several people have reported the same problem.
Also, are you using the original recovery disk or the Microsoft installation disc?

The simplest solution is to buy the new optical disk drive. You can find it on eBay and it is cheap for this old machine. You can exchange it in 2 minutes, and everything will be OK again.

In the user s manuals document you can find a list of all compatible optical disk drives.
Satellite P100 is a fairly old machine, but if you use the original recovery disk it contains good SATA driver.

  • Re: Satellite P100-160 - failed display driver installation

    Satellite P100-160, PSPAAE, 32-bit vista.

Today, Aero is not working and not available in graphics properties. Later installed the site of Toshiba UK, 15.0.1.1114 Intel display driver. This version was actually older than my current driver but I thought that maybe she was the only availabel that it must be correct.

The driver installation failed with an error (no details don't just "year error has occurred"). Now, I don't have aero and my screen resolution cannot be set above 1280 x 800 - 1440 x 900 is expected

To say that I'm pisseed would be an understatement. Can anyone help? Thank you

    Hey,.

If Aero is not available I think that it s display driver problem

In any case, did you remove the old display driver before installing a new? Go to Device Manager > right click on the graphics card > uninstall. After the restart the display driver must be uninstalled and you can start with the display driver installation.

If you install drivers make sure you are logged in as administrator and antivirus/firewall is disabled. Reboot once again and you should be able to choose the native screen resolution now.

  • Display and graphics with my Satellite P100-192 issues

    Hello

I have following problems with my almost 3 year old Toshiba Satellite P100-192:

In the last few weeks my latop ran very hot when I played games or used another difficult software.

Last week, the computer began to freeze the screen for a while and then the screen turned black and I had to reset. When I start now my laptop screen TOSHIBA and Windows startup screen has some vertical stripes in reds or roses. After starting the Windows retains the turnes black screen and I can't do anything.
When I start Windows mode safed scratches are still there but the system works well.
Now, I have thought that I have a software, the driver or the virus problem and formatted the HARD drive with the TOSHIBA recovery disks. After decomprimating I thought I can install Windows XP, but the black screen is back and it is so impossible to reinstall.

What should I do now? Is my graphics card fault? Why everything worked well in safed mode?

    Please help me!
    Thank you very much!
    David

    Hello!

It's strange, but I think it might be a graphics card problem.
In safe mode without driver will be loaded and this could be the reason why you have this problem only in normal mode.

Also, have you tried an external monitor? Maybe it's a question of s only a LCD internal.
    Check it!

I doubt that it of a virus or something else because you have used the recovery disk and it erases the entire HARD disk.

    Good bye

  • Satellite P100: No external charger USB/Fire-Wire port

When I plug my ipod into my fire-wire 4 pin port or a USB port on my laptop (satellite P100), it fails to load, even when it is plugged into the mains / power of a/c. I think I've found where I have to go into 'control panel', but need assistance on how to allow my son fire and USB ports give energy and charge my ipod when its connected.

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

    See you soon

    Hello

The USB ports automatically provide the power. Each USB port provides usually 500mA.
But please note; the laptop must be running and the device external USB (iPod) must be recognized by the Windows operating system.

I put t know if the iPod is recognized by drunks, but I read many users have problems with the iPod on the Windows operating system installation. As far as I know that iTunes must be installed if you want to use the iPod.

  • Displays swap when using double view Satellite P100

I have a Satellite P100 - 434 (PSPADE). I am using the laptop as main display and an LCD as a secondary monitor. I found that no matter how to configure it, using either the Vista view properties or via the Nvidea Control Panel, I get a problem where the monitors periodically switch.

I'm not bothered what device is the main, but the system to compensate for his mind would be really useful.

This seems to happen when I type, making me wonder if there is press key I am inadvertently trigger that causes to happen. Ideas anyone?

    Hello

    You should do the following:

-update your bios to the latest available version
-update your display drivers and all the other remaining drivers in your system to the latest version available
-Maybe if the driver update Don t really help out you, recover your machine with the recovery media and check if the error reappears.

IF all these steps didn t worked for you, then come back and we'll discuss it further. :)

    Welcome them

  • Satellite P100-119: display no longer works

    Hi all

After resetting my phone and install the printer driver for the Epson homepage suddenly my screen image was strange looking. I decided to start the new laptop. But the display did not turn on either. Just the LED lights that surround it were black kept on-screen

Try all to find a button for ignition and extinction of the screen has introduced the small result the display worked again for a few days and then all of a sudden with a new start over the same problem. I decided to connect it with an external display and to open the BIOS. I managed to start the windows safe and try to renew all the drivers.

Suddenly the external display is turned off and turned back on the computer screen. I restarted the laptop without external screen and everything was ok - but only until the next day - now the problem is ongoing and I can just start with an external display in security mode.

Maybe one of you knows the problem or can even help me. I would bring her to a service, but at the moment I don't have a lot of money to buy a new one or even fix it. At least, it would be good to know, in case, what would be the cost of repairs...

Thank you very much to all those who answer

    Hello

To me it looks a bit a graphics chip is malfunctioning.
These behaviors are typical of the GPU issues.

But have you tried to install a fresh windows OS?
It would be interesting to know if this would be possible.

  • Satellite Pro A110 PSAB1C: can't choose certain resolution external display

I have Pro A110 PSAB1C-GM60XE with Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (Controller graphic memory integrated Intel 945GM Chipset) running Windows 7 Enterprise.
Graphics driver is up to date.

We got 20 "external monitor wide screen HD.
When it is used as external screen it allows only up to 1280 x 1024. The display is nice streched out.

I tried the monitor of one laptop another the same graphics card (integrated memory graphics controller Intel 945GM Chipset), also Windows 7 Enterprise.
The same version of the graphics driver. This laptop has resolution up to 1600 x 900.

Any ideas on what needs to be done on A110 Pro to support the resolution 1600 x 900 for the external monitor?

Note: I've tried DTD Calculator but still the same http://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/showthread.php?t=56423.

    Hello

Available external display resolution depends on the graphics chip and the driver graphics card.
If the graphics chip or the graphics driver doesn t card supports the preferred external resolution, you will not be able to choose.

It seems that the graphics chip will support this resolution.
In such cases, it s a driver problem.

Therefore, it would be advisable to download and install the driver from the Intel page.
I had the similar problem in the past. The driver of Toshiba page didn t supports my favorite external resolution. I got the driver from Intel page and was able to chose him.
