Duplicate and synchronize a mono audio track?

I went just from FCP7 to body of CS5.5.

When I was at the FCC, I used to do an OPTION/SHIFT on my Mac key board and drag audio mono for the next down

and it would overlap with the audio track.

Then I have should highlight both and synchronize them together so if I moved the volume or have you keyframing on a track, it would be

relate to other audio track.

Is there any way to quickly do the same in the BODY?

In accordance with my 1st question, I mentioned that I was new to the ORGANIZATION and that he just had a revelation to the Commission of the mixer. Very cool, how you can transform each mono track to the left and right speakers.

So I don't have to do what we used to do at the FCC.

  • How to make two mono audio tracks in a stereo pair?

My clip video, brought in first CS6 of Final Cut Pro 5, the left regular and audio tracks right, but first, they are not related in a stereo pair. Thus the volume level must be set separately in each track.

In Final Cut, I can convert two independent audio tracks in a pair of stero selecting tracks and then by going to the Edit menu > stereo pair.  I can't understand how to do this first.

When two audio tracks are not related, the volume level must be set separately in each track that is slow. But after two tracks are linked in a stereo pair in Final Cut, or another track adjustment allows to set both, together. That's what I want to do now in first.

So, how do two separate audio tracks in a stereo pair in first?

    Welcome to the forum.

Have you looked at the padding on the left and fill right Audio effects?

They should get what you want, or almost. Now, the result will be stereo double mono and not true, but will be 2 channel, and that is, I believe, what you really want.

  • In the first 11 elements, can I convert a stereo, one mono audio track?

The microphone that I use on my digital SLR when video recording is a mono microphone (Canon 5 d MkII dslr, Hama lapel MIC). When I import video in first items 11, audio playback in mono - is there a way I can convert the audio in stereo?

    Thank you.

    Tom

    Welcome to the forum.

In fact, you cannot convert a mono source in true stereo, because it requires two microphones., but you can convert it to 2 mono channels. The difference is that you have the same signal on both channels, unlike stereo ture, where signals differ according to the micro system.

According to Steve, you can fill out to the left, or fill right, or you can just drag another Instance of your Audio Clip to a different Audio track mono. In the Audio Mixer Panel, you can pan to the left and one right.

Also, just like pre your mono 2 channels output mix, it will give you 2-Channel Audio signal even in the two ways, if you let the Pan toward the Center.

  • Making a mono audio track?

Is it possible to do everything on a specific audio track to be mono?  I have music that is stereo Audio track 2 and dialogue (which is stereo, but I need it to be mono) on audio track 1.  Without having to go to each audio file and open it with another program and making mono, I can just choose mono some how a whole piece?  Thank you very much.

Yes, mapping to a Mono submix track would do exactly that.

  • First Pro CC and the lack of audio tracks for .mts files

    Hello guys,.

I used to edit my files .mts with first Pro CC with no problems until yesterday.

Now I import my file .mts (made with a Sony VG900), but the first does not recognize the audio tracks (which I hear fine with VLC).

I tried changing the extension in .m2ts, but he did not, I also tried to reinstall the first but, even once, it didn't work and I tried (I was desperate) to install the CS6 first just to check if the problem is maybe about the CC version. Guess what? It did not work...

I tried also to convert the file with the encoder in .mp4, but after the conversion, I can't hear the sound with VLC and, of course, this does not work on the first.

Don't you think it's a first question or a problem of file?

I used these same files for other videos (as a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1X5vsZ-5yI) and I had no problem. Then I updated the first, I moved the files in the other folder, and the problem came to life.

    Any idea?

(I'm waiting for my colleague to send me a new mts file just to check if I accidentally damaged the 'old').

  • Can I copy and paste to an audio track?

I have a nice clip of ducks swimming peacefully, but there's a barking dog that I would like to delete. I'm looking at the item in the selected monitor Source with Audio Waveform Show Panel. If I could just copy a section of the waveform with the 'white noise' to the pond that surrounds the "Barking Dog" then paste on the dog that barks would fix it. Is it possible to do first?

You copy an audio section in a new audio track and the position where you want then mix you them together.

Generally better to go back to the audio source and set output points and overlay / / insert what you want.

Audio is better multi layers so that you can mix/mix using handles.

  • Split audio track in first CS5

    Hi all

I'm getting acclimated to work in CS5 first, after years of editing on Avid Media Composer and Symphony.  There are, of course, similarities and differences, that which some I can understand my way through and others where I'll need to ask for help.  Here is one.

Suppose I have a piece of video that got killed by split tracks.  On channel 1, we have the Lavaliere microphone worn by an object of the interview.  On channel 2, we have the microphone on the device so when searching, I can hear the interviewer's questions which are not audible in mic of the interviewed.  In the final cut, I would throw channel 2 and channel 1 centre-pan.  On an Avid audio channels are separated on the timeline - tracks, you can literally remove channel 1 or audio clip from channel 2 and then use a Pan tool to take the audio clip remaining and pan it as desired (Center-pan is typically what you want with an interviewee, but actually you have infinite choice between left and right full).

How do we address this question in the first?  I'm sure that this issue has been addressed before, but after much research, I guess that I don't know the correct search terms to find.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

    Peter

Personally, I don't like the filling to left/right effects - it's unnecessary treatment, and I think that their use is somewhat restrictive. They would be your best option if you have already completed edition, however.

If you have not started to edit, you can remap the channels left and right stereo audio to two mono channels split, so to replicate your experience in Avid (it's where I came from, too). Choose your clips in the tray and right-click > edit > Audio channels. Click on the option "Mono" button to send the stereo, left channel right at A2 A1 and the stereo. Now you can edit clips in two mono tracks in a sequence.

The difference is the way that first card tracks default sequence. Avid, odd numbered audio tracks have left, in pairs of audio tracks went right. First, all mono audio tracks by default for center channel if you use one track stereo master. In the Audio Mixer Panel, you can pan tracks left or right to go to the specific output channel, or mix according to the needs. This practice is somewhat different than Avid, but gives you great flexibility.

The thing most important to note is that the Audio channel mapping does not work if you have already used your clip in a sequence, so don't forget to do that immediately after the capture/import your clips.

How can I put the audio clip in Audio 2 in 1 Audio in the timeline view?  I want to manage the two audio clips separately and not merge.

  • Timeline shows no name of audio tracks

I just switched from Premiere Elements Pro and having some problems...

One of the greatest: in the Timeleline Pro does all the names on audio tracks!

Which means in the video track I see something like '[V]example.mp4' and in the corresponding audio track, I see just the icon of "fx".

I've expanded the view zoom and titles and all, unlocked audio-video-nesting - however there is no name in the audio tracks to be seen!

For this reason, I get confusued which the audio track belong to which video, so it's really important for me to get this name in the timeline panel.

    Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, it is the default view of Adobe.  Fortunately, it can be easily corrected.  Click on the key icon next to the sequence of timecode.

  • Æ any audio track of the MTS videos?

I know it's a common question asked; I read another post on the subject, but I have not yet found my answer.

When I try to import a video file of MTS in AE CS6, imports fine video, but the audio does not work.  There is no little audio icon for me to put in muted as there is when I import other video files and audio did not get included in the rendering.  The audio is confirmed working in VLC and MPC - HC.  One person said what happens when the camera records stereo to RL and RR (tracks 3 and 4) audio tracks, but according to VLC, they are on L and R (1 and 2) of the audio tracks in standard stereo, not 5.1.  This is the dump of the MPC - HC info:

EDIT: I forgot to add; video MTS is a 1080 recording taken by a Sony a55v TLR camera.

Another person says that this can happen when you have 3rd party codecs installed on your machine.  Yes.  I have the ffmpeg library included in the CCCP codec.  But I don't know why that would get in the way that Adobe products, and I don't know how to fix it and still keeping the codecs installed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm glad you guessed it, but if you do anything for a customer paying in the future, I advised not to transcode to H.264 format.  Is a great codec and a barely adequate acquisition codec, but it is not really good for AE.

Oh, it will do the job, but working in AE is NEVER the end of the line.  The work always takes place in the middle of a project, and you never want to degrade the image.  H.264 is pretty frozen, it will degrade images and you do not want for paying customers.

But for yourself?  Give it a shot.

  • Clips added to timeline have no audio track (beginner CS6)

I don't know how I did it but I am adding clips to a file of simple media using the source window (brand, mark, insert) to the timeline, but it is not inserting the corresponding audio track.

Audio plays well in the source window, although I noticed that at one point it was a rattling noise is played while I was using the cursor keys to navigate through the media in the source window.

I checked and there is no audio track disabled. They are all empty.

    1. what I am doing wrong?

    2. is there a way to add audio without having to go through the whole process to mark the clips and add them to the timeline again?

  • Audio selection in auto Cs5.5 still plays rather then change just the audio track

I'm a newbie even after moving to DVD SP in yet for the creation of menu blu ray. Ive read and re-read the help files and they seem to be the same for the versions still dating back at least to cs3 for that matter... so I do something wrong or still just simply do not do a very basic thing...

I'm building a blu - ray with a video of singel track and 2 audio player. I am trying to bind a menu to allow a user to select a 5.1 or 2ch audio version for a feature film. Everything should be simple. I have a menu with several buttons. Each links button on an audio track in my calendar.

However, when I test my links, instead of simply changing the audio and return to the menu (according to the instructions in the help files), the movie plays from the beginning.

The correct audio track is played, but it is not my intention, at that time there. I want the user to choose the audio track and then allow the user to press another key play or to another menu and back before the movie starts.

So, how do just change the audio track but he not play there?

Aid says use "indicate relationship" so I choose this option and select the timeline, Yes, select the track audio 1 or 2, Yes. But are there any different way to do it if I really wanted to play the track at this time as well. What is the fundemental bit I'm missing here? Something to do with the type of button or a werid overide setting I'm missing? Can still actually do this? its quite frustrating seen arising from the use of SP of DVD, which allows any script, set gprm/sprm registers in a program that does not allow you to do anything beyond creating very very basic.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

To return to the menu after changing audio or any subtitle track, you must select the menu desired in the link option specify and change the audio and subtitle accordingly.

In the example above, what I did was, I went on the link specify, the menu, like target and also changed the audio track it and clicked OK

So here, after pressing button 3 (point 3), I would like to return to the menu and my audio would be handed over to the audio 2 track.

After that, what timeline I play, that would be played with track audio 2.

This is just a small example to show how it's done. Define navigation as you want.

  • [Pre Ele 9] Audio tracks in the project are frozen. Impossible to move, edit, or even choose.

    Hello

It is my first project using first. Great program, when you know what you're doing. Now, I'm on a modest laptop, Vista 32-bit, 2 GB of RAM, Dual CPU @ 2.00 ghz. My project consists of .wma of some .mp3 files, of .wav and some .jpgs. It's a small project, ten minutes, about 20 clips, some denominations of 20.

I don't know exactly what happened. I tried to spend all my audio files that I had to fill this gap, I did. But I think I clicked on group, or link or something, by mistake, and now two of my audio tracks are literally does not. They play perfectly to the preview, but I can't move. I can't even select them. Make a right-click on the soundtrack does nothing. Even weirder is that my Audio 1 track is normal. It's just my narration and soundtrack songs that pose problems. I did research online, and I've heard of them being 'locked' or 'disabled' or something with keyframes. But I don't think that's it. Or maybe I need more of a noob guide. I turned on the size of the track and I saw the wave form for my audio. This is, but it is lower than my Audio 1 waveform. Also, I have tried to replace and made, but that has not worked. Finally, every time I try to add a new audio file in one of the two audio tracks, the program basically ignore and place in 1 Audio, or even create a new audio track.

I know I did something so simple, I know that I just need to uncheck this tiny bit option. Maybe some of you are even sneering. But please, I beg you, help me. Put an end to this torment.

If you need more information, let me know.

    Thank you for your attention.

I agree with Neale on this one. Narration and soundtrack are 'fixed' Audio tracks and include at least one property, other Audio tracks do not have - they cannot be deleted. Usually, they work very well, as indicated by their names, but then sometimes, they refuse everything works correctly. Why? I've never seen a common element, when they just sort of freezing, or refuse to mix their Clips.

Because this behavior has struck several, most of us recommend just DO NOT either using, and instead, simply by using a regular vacuum Audio track. I remember an instance when this proceeure did not work. This behavior has been around for over PrE4.0, by my reading, but can happen even earlier versions. There is just something in the structure of these two Audio tracks, coming "alignment", with some operations, perhaps assets.

On the note of "certain assets", you happen to have MP3 files on one of these titles? They can cause endless problems, and not only on these two fixed Audio tracks. If you have any MP3 files, take a look at this ARTICLE.

  • CS4 question on audio track (help repair my goof)

OK, this morning I had a pretty goofy goof up.  I am putting together a stick to highlight video, and I have a list of Points of In and Out of the customer.  In the last hour I lowered clips on the timeline, I just looked and noticed that my Audio track has been extinguished and no Audio signal was dropped on the timeline.  Just curious to know if it there anyway to get first to allow me to put the audio, set apart again.  I tried double-clicking the item in the timeline to open it in the Source monitor, but it opened up there with no audio.  I can't find a way to say first that I want and audio.

Of course, it is only an hours worth of work to do things well and start over (which I'm about to start doing), but I thought I'd ask incase I happen to do so in the future...

    Thank you

    Phil

    Phil,

The first thing I would try is the Match Frame (M key) function, with the corrected entry to Audio & video. Target your Audio & Video Track as well (don't forget to choose an Audio track that is the number of lines of your source, i.e. 2 channels for 2 source footage channels), then move the CTI (current time marker w / Red line change) on each Clip, select it (this will be your video) and press M. Please report if it works, as I hope.

Otherwise, you should be able to select the item in the project Panel and get the Audio, but you will need to set the In and Out Points and drag it to the timeline and in place.

Finally, fix the entry for both Audio & video and make them on, sequence by sequence may be the way - but we'll try to keep it as the fallback.

    Good luck

  • Synchronization of a live video with audio digital SLR and a separate audio track

Hi, I have a problem with live video that I try to sync with a separate audio track. I have several clips that I want to include in the video, so I don't want to sync the audio frame video and separate framework, but I want to know the best possible way, please, I can sync the audio separated? So far I used markers of the waveforms to find the synchronization point, but so far it is not synchronization.

    I hope someone can help?

    Thank you

Adjust the audio clip left or right of the track until it syncs to the top.  In the context menu for the sequence, you can display Audio Units, if you need less than a precision of image.
