  I recently bought a HP ProBook s 4530 and I am now a regular buzz (about every 30 seconds or more) from the speakers during playback of any media. The system has Windows 7 Professional 32-bit with a card IDT High Definition Audio CODEC installed. No error message is displayed and all drivers are newer and work would have been properly. I had no problem for the first two weeks, then allof it suddenly appears. I j. River Media center installed, and the problem appeared all first when I played the music. I finally found a solution by changing the default value in the media player of mp3 to WASAPI. But it does nothing to affect the noise from other sources.   Basically, my laptop is suffering from overheating problem because the fan should be cleaned. I decided to give it a go myself and unscrewed all the screws below etc, released the album cd and battery and removed the plastic Panel that covers the speaker who has the power button and other buttons on it.

  1. go to control panel, and then sound.
  2. look for the recording tab.
  3. Select your headset as default device, then press OK.

  Your helmet is possibly defective.
  Usually, the small switch located in the headphone must turn off speaker s if the headphone is plugged.
  If this switch doesn't work properly, so could the sound comes through the speakers too

  I guess that transparent speaker cover cannot be removed separately.
  I think that it of a part of the top cover and I guess you will have to disassemble the whole laptop in order to get access to the speakers
  Simply said; It s not worth a try!
  Laptop disassembly is a very delicate procedure and I would risk any damage part only to remove some of the dust of the coverage of the speaker

  Hi all, I was wondering if anyone else has had problems with creaking speakers with their A500-026?

  There seems to be some problems on the internet with other versions of the A500. This computer was shipped with Windows 7 and has always had problems with the Crackle of the speakers, and in particular with iTunes and Media player.   AFAIK there is no switch or something similar. I presume that the only solution is to cut the cable.

  We recommend you to check if the speaker is defined as default playback on your computer device. To do this, try the following steps:
  a. right click on the sound/volume icon in the right corner of the task bar, then click on "adjust audio properties".
  b. click on the Volume tab, click Advanced under Speaker settings, select the speaker and click ok.
  c. click on the tab Audio, audio playback device, select default.
  d. click apply and then click ok.
  e. check if the problem persists.
