DV4t 5300 battery

Hi all, I have the HP Envy Dv4t 5300. The processor is the 3rd generation Intel Core i5 - 3230M processor, 8 GB of Ram and 64-bit windows 8, NVIDIA GeForce (r) GT 650 M graphics with 2048 MB of video memory dedicated.  HP has announced that this computer has a battery life of 9 hours. I don't believe that for a moment, but I see the battery lasts about 5 hours. Accept that my battery does not last even 4 hours. I have the setting from which the computer came. I have not touch or change the settings. Three weeks ago when I got to the computer battery used 5 hours. now it is said that 3 or 2 1/2.  It's just making the web and with the screnn to lowest possible light.

Any comments or ideas?

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Have a nice day

Hello eveworld8,

Your battery is not lasting as long as it should.

You'll perhaps test and calibrate the battery.

Here is a link that will guide you through the steps.

The battery has been tested with almost nothing running and autonomy will differ slightly between the model configurations.

It is the statement from from the bottom of your spec page.

Before the test, the system was at full load and settled on brightness of 60 nits of screen, auto wireless disabled, Sun off, suspend and Hibernate disabled and all other programs, utilities and services non-essential to the execution of the test of life computer system or battery.   Battery life varies depending on product configuration, loaded applications, features, use, wireless and power management settings.  The maximum capacity of the battery decreases naturally with time and usage.

I would like to know how everything goes

Nice day.

Oops someone showed me where the maintenance manual is on this.  Thank you!

I just bought a laptop HP dv4t-5300 series.  I removed the small bottom plate to find that there are no screws to remove the disk hard so that I can put in my drive SSD OCZ Vector (w00t).  Dv6t-7300 there is two screws and disc hard this spell.

I can't find any on HDD removal textbooks and when I called technical support HP says the hard drive can't get out and it is a particular size for a SSD will not fit.  The hard drive is a standard 2.5 "and I think that the tech knew what he was talking about.

Anyone would be able to seat me with where to find a manual or something on this computer?  Usually youtube or some forum or Internet HP site it would, but I can't find anywhere, anything on this computer again.  Sometimes, you have to remove the keyboard in order to install things but I don't want to start taking everything as part of discover that it's just a hidden screw or something.

  • Pavilion DV4T-1400 battery does not charge

I was getting the flashing battery light on the battery then buying a new.  That solved the problem for about a week and now he's back.  I've updated the BIOS, tried to close, pulling on the battery, now the power button then reinstall and restart, but nothing changes.  I blew the dust just in case it was due to overheating.  Still no change.

Is there another way to solve this problem?  I usually keep the laptop plugged in anyway so I'll just continue to do unless there is no other solution unless this means that HP is on its way.

    Hello

First, stop the laptop, unplug the power adapter, remove the battery and then press and hold the power button for a minute.

Now, plug in the AC adapter without the battery inserted, start Notepad, open windows control panel, open Device Manager, expand the entry for the Batteries, click right on and the Microsoft ACPI compatible with battery control method and select Uninstall - do uninstall not something else here.  When the uninstall is complete, shut down the PC, unplug the AC adapter, reinsert the battery and then start the PC on just the battery.  Windows will automatically reinstall the driver - leave Windows running for a few minutes. Shut down the PC again.  Now plug the power adapter (with the inserted battery always) and start the laptop to see if it helped the issue at all.

I wait to hear from you.

No, there is no loss of performance when loading the laptop when using it... in fact most of the people leave it plugged for most of the time to make it mode performance rather than by lower-performance means that are used when executing only the battery.  Either way... you can not 'spoil' your laptop.

  • Care strange battery X230T

    Hello!

I got a X230T replacement. Interesting thing, the battery specifications are different. There are still several Volt and Watt-values printed on them. Now I wonder which one would be the better one or if they are actually similar and calculations with Watt, volts and amps are just different. Battery 1 has been used for a year already, so I keep a new independently of its specifications?

  • Taskbar icon battery lack of power management options after upgrade to Windows 7

    Hello

I just upgraded to Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit on my HP dv4t laptop.

Under Vista, when I left click on the battery icon on the right side of the taskbar (next to the clock), I would see three power - recommended HP options, saving energy and high performance. It was excellent. Click on the stack, click the option to that I actually wanted.

I have just upgraded to Windows 7. When I left click on the battery icon, I see only 2 power options - one that is currently active and HP recommended. That means whoever I want to never in the list. You see, I don't use never HP recommended, and if Power Saver is active, it is in the list... but if Power Saver is selected and I want to spend, which is why I must click the icon of the battery in the first place, it is because I want to choose something else than the day before.

This suppression of the feature is frustrating. How can I get the three points to be in the list yet? If not, how can I remove HP recommended in the list?

    Thank you!
    Eric

    Ericpdx,

It is a feature, which was invited in many forums in the days of Beta version. We didn't get no answer or how to reactivate. We thought, Windows 7 RC will come with this missing feature, but in any case it didn't.

It was posted in a forum, a member who needed too (I don't know why). I agree that this is not a direct solution for the functionality you want. I just posted, if this can help you in any case.

  • Precision 690 MY171 rev A00 mobo - hearts Xeon 5300 series

    Hello

I know that this subject has been discussed in the past, but I am having a hard time finding an answer for my exact situation.  My Dell Precision 690 runs the rev MY171 A00 motherboard on rev A08 bios.  It currently has a single processor dual core Xeon 5150.  I want to upgrade to dual quad core Xeon 5300 series processor.  I've seen youtube videos and discussion with rev A02 MY171 boards that run the 5300 series, but nothing to confirm if the version A00 will run them.

The rev A00 motherboard BIOS A08 MY171 will work two Xeon 5300 series quad core?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Today, I received my processor Xeon X 5355 to four hearts by post and installed in on my MY171 Rev00 on bios A08.  No problem during the performance of the processor.  I took out the battery from the motherboard for 2 minutes before relocation and commissioning for the first time.  BIOS immediately recognized the processor.

I'm running window 10 and initially he saw only 2 carrots.  I went into MSCONFIG and made some changes on the STARTUP, the Advanced Options tab, you should uncheck 'Number of processors' and restart.  After that, the OS will see all 4 cores.

I intend to run identical to the second X 5355 processor, but am waiting to get a second heat sink before a fall.

Hope this helps others seek to upgrade the 690.  The two processors cost me a total of $20 on ebay.  Also got 16 GB RAM DDR2 PC5300 (8X2Go) for this computer for $10.  Computer will work great for $30 worth of improvements.  I still feel like they need SSD to run faster.

I downloaded the HP website sp48847 and extract the files, but I don't know who. FD to use file.

I have a 1400 dv4t with P7350 intel processor and bios are corrupt. It does not Flash by using the process of disconnecting the power remove the battery hold down power key B pluging and windows by pressing the power button / stop then release the keys B, button / stop and windows. It doesn't detect usb drive with any file flash bios on this subject, and I rename the file in 30F7. BIN.  At this point, I have to remove bios chip and flash with spi Flash bios I have. I was told that the file 30F7F66D. FD is for 30F7F66U and AMD processor. FD is for processor intel, but I can't be sure since I have to remove and replace. I also use another computer to download these files and load on the wheel.   Dv4t-1400 does not start.

    Thanks in advance

Thanks again HaggisCat for more information on this problem. After a lot of research

I found a thread that has answered my question, the 30F7F66D file. FD is for discrete graphics and the 30F7F66U.fd file for

integrated graphics (UMA).  Just thought I would give you insight in the case where you never came across this problem.

  • Fingerprint reader not recognized on laptop Pavilion dv4t-1400

In this last week, my fingerprint reader is no longer running on my laptop Pavilion dv4t-1400. I think that he stopped when last week he had two usb problems which are still pending - that is to say, under Device Manager, there are two USB keys with a yellow warning triangle and after trying to help out, he said: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) ».

I reinstalled the Validity Sensor software several times, but it does make a difference.

BTW, to the best of my knowledge, there had not been any new software updates before the USB errors.

This problem is solved when I turned off my laptop, unplugged the adapter and all external connections, removed the battery, expected a minute, resinserted the battery and restarted my PC.

Validity Sensor driver has been added automatically by Windows, and my fingerprint reader is now recognized and working.

  • Battery, specifically in the night with ios10

It happens to me all the time, when the night comes and I don my body with this sweet sleep, it's rough on my iPhone.  Really difficult.  I'll just go on my what happened to my phone last night...

I went to bed around 01:30, my phone was 93%.  Here is a list of things that together did us before going to bed.

-Set airplane mode because I get horrible service where I live, and I learned that that saves my battery

    -Closed all my apps

    -Night market

These are normal things I do every night.  Do not forget that I have the app off background refresh and I have like 3 or 4 things in my widgets.  When I woke up just 6 hours and a half later, my phone had fallen to 59 percent.  Normally when I wake up and work all day and use the phone more (not much, I'm not a heavy user), I have no problem.  It's nighttime in general just when I have these problems.

I had an iPhone before iOS 10 and 6, I had no problem with my other phone that my * service area, but I use call in wifi and FaceTime to correct this, if my phone is usually at home airplane mode.  Got a new iPhone 7 and who seemed to have no problems for 2 days, but now I'm back for the battery drain of night time making my iPhone 6.

I doubt that is it because I don't see the problem often, but I think that my router is wrong and sometimes I lose the connection, but when the phone is in standby mode and I don't use it I doubt it would be the problem.  When I go to my use of the battery and check what is using what it says Facebook is 23%, and home and lock screen is only at 2% when it is clearly more 30% has been used yesterday evening.

Any help would be appreciated, I'm fretting here!

Facebook app is to drain the battery much. I would rather uninstall. But if you need it, there are a few tips to make energy not so consume: http://www.cultofmac.com/420508/stop-facebook-iphone-battery-drain/

The use of the battery has increased since the update to ios 10. Also, why can not disable the voice command. It's the most boring on the new update.

Depending on what you mean by "voice command", either:

Settings / general / accessibility / VoiceOver / OFF, or

    Settings / Siri / OFF

As for your use of the battery, you can check what app pulls most of its use in the settings / battery.  A new version of the app is sometimes problematic, not necessarily iOS or iPhone.  If you see a unusual % of use of a particular application, or force-to leave it removal/reinstalling it or remove it until an update comes.  If anything seems unusual, it might be a problematic installation of iOS, in which case, you could backup your iPhone and restore it:

  • iOS 10 battery drain

Does anyone else have trouble with the life of the battery with iOS 10?

I have a 5 c and I charge my iphone once per day if that.  Now its hollow when I get up morning so I charge it at work and also I have to recharge at night.

I need this so because its not good for the trip. I'm going to Germany to visit family if I go in Brussels, I know that the airport has charging stations.  God forbid if I go to the United States to visit his family.

Bluetooth is disabled. WiFi is on.

is there something I can do? Any advice will be welcome.

    Thanks - danke schön

    Kimla

First, plug in your iPhone, let the screen off and do nothing for a long period of time. Leave it plugged in all night while you sleep is perfect for that.

Then, restart your iPhone by pressing and maintaining the sleep/wake and home buttons.

You can also try following the suggestions of battery life. Go to settings > farm > find 'Suggestions of battery life.

In addition, it is preferable to follow the Apple recommendations given in this article http://www.apple.com/batteries/maximizing-performance/
