  I m using the Pavilion 15-r004ne on a windows 64-bit OS 8.1 and I cannot adjust the brightness of my screen.   I recently rebooted my computer; (Packard Bell) and now cannot run games or screen savers because it does not start. I think my problem has something to do with a Direct3D card? When I run screensavers, I get this message:

  I realized later that I had 215 updates of windows install. After I did, the problem solved itself, but I think that among the updates has been one for the graphics driver.

  Operating system Windows 7 does not have drivers for the hardware of this unit. your office may be a little older had so drivers win7 disc itself. also windows 8 has most of the current hardware drivers, it works well too.

  for win7 64-bit, you must download all the drivers from hp.com and install on your laptop.

  The brightness of the display can be controlled by the FN + F7 and Fn + F6.
  I think you should install the VAP and buttons of the Support of Flash memory card utility in order to get this to work!
