Dv6500 - Windows 7 - SATA AHCI Drivers

Hello

I have a HP Pavilion Dv6500 and recently purchased a copy of Win 7 Home Premium edition.

I've been toying with the idea of downgrading to XP like many others for quite awhile but decided to stick it out. the system had to be rebuilt, but I didn't I would have too many problems, system shaped like Win 7 uses the Vista kernel.

However, to my great surprise Win 7 does not notice the SATA HARD drive and I can't find the AHCI drivers anywhere on the site for Win 7 - finished those trials still HP? I note that a thread existed a few months ago and they were waiting to be signed / certified someone can help me to find the necessary driver for the HARD disk is picked up?

The question I have is that I have a BONE, I just spent more than £100 on a copy of Windows 7 to find that the drivers aren't on your site and the machine didn't come with a copy of the Vista OS CD for me to re - install when I bought the comet.

Hi Cheryl,

We tested the theory of a replacement HARD drive tonight and to my surprise (don't say I doubted you for a second there) but the system has formatted the new HARD drive and we have installed VISTA and are currently in train now to see how he handles the new installation of Windows 7.

Everything to go well. We will buy a 320 GB HARD drive and install Windows 7 directly.

Thank you once again for your help on this issue. very much appreciated.

    Hello

So a few days back, I bought a laptop Aspire E5 - 571G and I like it, but there is a problem, I can't seem to find the site acer sata ahci drivers. Device Manager indicates that the driver is provided by microsoft and I think that it shouldn't be like that, because the pc feels really slugish. My OS is Win 8.1 64bits.

If anyone knows where I could download the ahci driver, I would be really grateful! Thank you!

    Hello:

Here is the link to the AHCI drivers, you need for your PC.

XP 64 bit is the first download.

You must either wake all the drivers or use a USB FDD to install the AHCI driver specific necessary for your PC to the F6 prompt button which I think is the Intel (r) Desktop/Workstation/Server Express Chipset SATA AHCI Controller.

You can check by going to Device Manager and click to expand the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers section to see the name of the installed sata AHCI controller.

This is the driver that you select in the list on the floppy drive if you use the method of installing the drivers floppy.

If you would rather integrate the drivers, here's a guide to do it.

Read the Intel section, and then follow the instructions in the document to integrate all the drivers.

  • Qosmio G50 - Windows XP SATA Driver and BSOD

    Good evening to all...

I bought a Qosmio G50 and am frustrated with Vista. I want to load XP 32 on the system. Here are the configuration information:

    Model name: Qosmio G50
    Part number: PQG55C-01R039
OS version: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1
    BIOS version: Version 1.70
    CPU: Intel (r) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU P7350 @ 2.00 GHz
IDE Outspends: Intel(r) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller
    IDE devices: FUJITSU MHZ2320BH G1

    I downloaded the driver SATA here: ['Intel(r) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller' | http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProductID=2101&DwnldID=1675 9 & strOSs = 44 & OSFullName = Windows * % 20XP % 20Professiona l & lang = eng]

The driver info indicated that it supports the "Intel(r) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller"...

I use a Windows XP Corporate CD with SP3 slipstreamed in there. I copied the SATA drivers on a floppy disk and use the F6 option to load the SATA drivers. I was able to select the correct driver, then proceed with the installation a little and then get a BSOD:

    Stop: 0x0000007B (0XF78D2524M, 0XC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

    Hello!

    > Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
Yes, you have downloaded the wrong driver.

This BSOD is a known problem, then you can also find an article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3ben-us%3B324103&x=8&y=14

Then take a look at the Intel Web site again and download another driver.

    Good bye

If you try to install W7, please try this...

Download the drivers from this link below (first or second file listed - 32 or 64 bit depending on the case).

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?AGR=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=23060&keyword=Intel+RAPI...

Extract the files on a usb flash drive.

With the flash player and the installation of W7 media connected to the computer, boot from the installation of W7 media.

After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

You should now see the storage driver files listed.

If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

Follow the prompts and hopefully, W7 should install.

  • SSD and VN7 591 G Standard SATA AHCI Controller

    Hello

    Bought a 70RT with Windows 8.1 VN7 591 G

I installed a Samsung SSD and cloned the operating system with the Samsung software for these purposes. The BONE was very quick start, only 6 seconds. But the operating system was not a good performance (apps crashing and other things) tried to re-do everything a couple of times without success. So I couldn't start of the OS on the SSD, so I went to a friend and him formatted my HARD drive and install a fresh copy of windows on the SSD and successful 8.1 to do start.  (I installed all the drivers, that I could find)

Now the operating system starts in 12 and 13 seconds. And discovered that he can miss some driver like it using the standard SATA AHCI controller. (can't say if that was something else before I didn't look more than)

If anyone with a portable Nitro V that came from the factory with a SSD could look over that and tell me if there is any other controller. I'd be happy.

I am also having wifi issues. I don't have that before I reinstall windows. I installed the drivers and the patch, but nothing. I have to keep opening to the top of the installation of the drivers and click on repair to get 10-15 mintues of good connection...

Another little thing bothering me is the touchpad. I could double tap with a finger on a scroll bar and drag it. now it does not work like that (I can still use the 2 finger gesture). Installing the synaptics drivers but can't make it work as before. Im not able to scroll using the right side of the touchpad no longer.

    I appreciate all the help,

    Thanks in advance!

on the SATA drivers, have you already installed the Intel chipset drivers?

    http://us.Acer.com/AC/en/us/content/drivers/5614;-; Longs % 20VN7 - 591G

also, I would check SSD cache:

in Device Manager, click on hard drives, double-click on the SSD drive, click on policies and check if both options are selected, click OK, and restart.

  • Satellite L555-10N: driver for WIN 7 64 bit SATA AHCI controller

    Hello

can someone help me find a driver SATA AHCI controller for a fresh install of Win7 64 bit.
Win7 OS installer asks drivers to storage before installation of operating system start. Normally he accepts driver .inf and .sys, but not such drivers in the driver package StorageManager, found on the driver Toshiba download page.

We can I find this driver for the installation of the OS?

I installed Win7 on several machines, but I've never used driver SATA. The HARD drive was recognized by the system each time.
Visit the Intel download page. I'm sure you can download the SATA driver it.

  • Satellite U400-183 - need Recovery DVD and AHCI drivers

    Hello

I tried to reinstall Win Vista Home Premium to my Satellite U400-183. I used a DVD OS Win that came with my other laptop to other manufacturing and the key that came with my Toshiba laptop. Everything works beautifully, but in some areas of Windows is still some specific parameters of the manufacturing on the other. Now is it possible to get a DVD of Windows Vista Toshiba?

Another question is where can I get the AHCI drivers. There is only an exe file on the support site which I can't use during the installation of Windows. There must be some these .sys files, but I can't find them on the Toshiba site, so I had to install Windows in compatibility mode.

    Thanks in advance!

PS: Sorry for my bad English, I'm from the Germany...

    Hello!

A new recovery DVDs, you can get your local ASP (authorized service provider).
Or you order a DVD from Toshiba directly:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

The AHCI drivers or let say Intel Storage Manager, you can download from the Toshiba site as you have already said.
The .exe file, you must check out to use during the installation, but with the recovery disk you n t need them.
Please read the readme file in the Storage Manager, there is an example how to extract it. Use the command line what it
    For example: - a - a - PC:------.

  • Question about the Y510 AHCI drivers for install XP

    NiHao Lenovo Forum,

I am a proud owner of your IdeaPad Y510. I just wanted to ask what the web page offers Lenovo the AHCI storage driver to activate the storage controller SATA on the motherboard for my laptop Lenovo IdeaPad Y510?

I ask because Y510 as many users who install the XP will need to have these storage SATA controller drivers if they want to support higher speeds, hot plug and native command queuing (NCQ).

I see that Lenovo provides the following AHCI drivers for ThinkPad found here:

    www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/MIGR-62909.html

Also, it would be useful to let everyone know that Lenovo Y510 models come with what advice system that they have, with regard to the necessary SATA AHCI Controller driver for them.

I see the ThinkPad models use Intel 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller or Intel 82801HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller as indicated above from the URL.

How can I check my Y510 to know what Intel SATA AHCI Controller is necessary here?

Some clarification would be useful. Thanks in advance for any help and assistance here.

Also another method here would not create an installation with the Intel Matrix Storage Manager drivers slipstreamed XP disc? And how does a person know which of the many Intel Matrix Storage Manager drivers should be slipstreamed to the pilot Y510 AHCI SATA Controller here?

And how many different models of Lenovo Y510 uses different system boards? Think there are at least two, because some have been announced with a FSB 800 MHz right?

Thanks for any help and support here in advance.

Read the FAQ some might answer your questions.
Also, I suggest that different motherboards are in different models, as I said there are even different colors - green and Brown motherboards there. Brown, I saw myself - those who are ASUS, green are unknown for me.
Then, NCQ is not a feature of driver software. It is a material of HARD drive capacity to optimize movement traectory leaders to speed up the read/write process. So, no driver is required to activate. This work iven in the BACK.
AHCI driver is inside driver chipset. Also, you can integrate it. Please, read the FAQ .

  • driver SATA AHCI of 64 - bit - Compatible with HP 6910P or not?

    I have a HP 6910P 64-bit Windows 7 Professional.

I've recently updated the primary drive to a HARD drive to 120 GB for a 128 GB SSD. However, the performance gain was minimal.

Checking, I discovered that AHCI is not enabled and there is an option to do so in the BIOS (to date).

The HP Web site lists a compatible 32-bit version (7.6.0.1011 REV: C) SATA AHCI driver for this model of laptop.

However, despite quoting the same version (7.6.0.1011 REV: C) the 64-bit version does not list the laptop of HP 6910P under the list of compatible hardware.

Is it simply an oversight or is there a valid reason, why the 32-bit version of the driver is compatible so that 64-bit is not?

You are the very welcome, Drambo.

I have provided the driver because I thought that you would just install the driver mode IDE restart and change SATA configuration native from disabled to "Enabled".

Since you changed to "Enabled" SATA Native Mode and then reinstalled W7, you need do nothing else.

How can you tell that the AHCI is enabled?

Go to Device Manager and click on IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller section.

You will find your controller SATA AHCI enumerated (Intel(r) ICH8M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller).

If the BIOS has not been set to AHCI, the controller would have said, it was an ICH8 Serial ATA Controller, or words to that effect.

  • AHCI drivers

I have a Toshiba Satellite A305-S6843, and the motherboard chipset is an Intel PM965 Express.  I get an unmountable boot volume error when trying to boot Vista, so I tried to use the Recovery Console to run the disk check.  However, the recovery console can not detect the operating system, even after loading the AHCI drivers.  The drivers I've had are here:

    http://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?AGR=Y&DwnldID=17882&ProdId=2800&lang=eng

I extracted the drivers for a USB and a USB external hard drive.

Some research indicates that the driver is ICH8M, but after loading all those provided by Intel in any case, the recovery console may not always detect my OS.

Another disadvantage is that sometimes the recovery console can not detect my USB flash drives, even with the legacy USB is enabled in BIOS.  SATA is set to the compatibility of the BIOS, as well as the devil do I need for the recovery console, to recognize the installed operating system?

Edit: Running ChkDsk/r anyway. I hope that the fact that the operating system cannot be detected in the first place will not affect anything.

ChkDsk gave me "an unspecified error has occurred."  Awesome...
