    Hello

    two problems:
first after replacing the cd/dvd drive, my computer does not start now automatically and displays a "IDE #2 0203 failure" message. I can start then it but all of that takes time?

second problem: until I can access any program, a message will appear: "apdproxy.exe - Application error - the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000006)" appears twice before so I can continue and then the computer is very slow.

Can anyone offer solutions? (ps - these two problems are not related that they occurred the month apart).

    Thank you, Gardiner

(1.) I would say that the BIOS can't handle the new drive correctly because wrong settings master/slave/c-salt but he s strange the player is running.
I think you should check in the Device Manager, the primary and secondary IDE channels.
The transfer mode must be on DMA if available and the type of automatic detection device

2.), it seems the ' apdproxy.exe is a part of the Adobe Photoshop or a similar application.
This software may cause an error. So just try reinstalling this program

  • Set the failure message on the display of the results of the second attempt

    Hello

I have put 2 attempts for the quiz of all and to customize the message of failure for the second attempt failed such as:

    • On the first attempt failed, the message reads: sorry! You can't pass this time. Resume the quiz.

    • On the second and last attempt should read the message: sorry! You do not have. Please review the course.

I know that I can put a message of failure Quiz Préférences > settings > Quiz result Messages > Message Fail. But I can put more than one failure message (the first one) and one of the last attempt in Captivate 5.5?

    Please let me know.

    Welcome to the forum,

Try to change the number of levels of failure (accordion Action) from 1 to 2. You will get two legends of failure in this case, you will be able to change.

BTW, it's a good idea to mention the version of CP you use (detailed, because there is a difference between 6.01 and 6.1). Sorry, did not read you use 5.5

Here, still too early. My workflow is to issue level, not on Quiz level. To change the legend of failure then, I don't see an easy workflow immediately. Stocks advanced and custom issues, it is certainly possible, but with test blades by default, you don't have much control over the objects on this slide of quiz.

  • Wandering failure messages

    Hello-

I have a few projects that I've done recently and which seem to work fine when I play them back in Captivate.  I publish to swf files and download them on a LMS called Blackboard for my students to be able to read them.

I find that when I go to test it online, casual check of failure messages until the user has clicked. Then he disappears and is always available if a wrong click occurs. It seems intermittent.

Any ideas on what would cause an error message to appear with no trigger user?

    Betsy

    Hello Betsy,

OK, it seems to be the same technique that I use in simulations (here students prefer simulations for events that I create only when the time pressure is forcing me to): I teaching and slides of the legends of text on the other slides to get smaller instructions. If there is not an action should be performed by the user (you know the simulations) makes a film break, especially since I'm also hide the legend text with a click as a trigger box to continue. But I never use a caption for the click box as you do.  You have kept the legend of failure for the click box, in order to have a way to notify users blocked on this slide, isn't it?  I'm especially by limiting the failure 2 here or do you cover the entire slide with click aovid box having to use the legends related to the click box. Regret not to be able to give you a tip right away, needing some time to see the question myself. Have you tried to push the box click on the timeline for begins a little later than the text of the legend?  Just a thought, not test it, because I would first see the question myself.

  • Sporadic fan starting failure message. This speaks to the need to replace the fan?

Sometimes when I restart my desktop computer after being absent for a day or two, I get a message of fan failure.  I immediately turned off the computer. I wait a few minutes and try to restart.  The reboot is going well.  Has anyone else had this type of message?  What I need to check that the fan is a failure?  If this is the case, where you can hold a replacement fan?

Yes, this is indicative of a faulty fan. I was getting messages from 'System fan failure' sporadic on my HP a1632x. I first removed all dust and dirt, then decided to put one or two drops of oil on the bearings and 'exercise' the fan to work the oil in the compressed air. Two years later, and not once fan failure message.

According to the fan being a system fan or CPU fan may affect where you can hold a replacement. To start, try Newegg.com. Take the measurements of the existing fan. Check the BIOS for the fan RPM speed and buy the one that is at least this fast if it is 10% faster. Make sure that it is a three lead with tachometer coonector.

    Hello

Faced with a failure of OSD task sequence.

The failure messages in the end are:

    --------------------------------------------------

Has no file WIM mount 0 x 80070002

    Cannot create media 0 x 80070002

It comes via SCCM 2007 R3 and a version of Windows XP.

I think 0 x 80070002 means "the system cannot find the file specified."

    But what file?

How do you determine what the media Wizard is missing to generate this error?

    Is this a driver problem?

    Thank you

  • scanner failure message

My printer will not make copies or scan.  I get the scanner failure message.  Any options?

With a scanner failure message there is no much you can do. The document below will take you through all the steps. If this does not work, you will need to replace the printer. If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

  • Third twice repeated failure message

    Hello

I've been looking and looking for answers on this, but obviously there is something I don't understand.

I have a quiz with 1 short answer question.  I allowed the user to have 4 attempts to question.  I chose to have 3 failure messages (the maximum that seems to be available) that I customized.  My problem is that third failure message is repeated twice and I can't seem to find a way to stop him from doing this.  Here's what happens:

    1. the user fills out wrong answer, presses present - #1 failure is displayed

    2. the user fills out wrong answer, presses present - #2 failure is displayed

    3. the user fills out wrong answer, presses present - #3 failure is displayed

    4. the user fills out the wrong answers, presses present - #3 failure to appear again.

Is there a way to customize a fourth failure message?  I tried the last attempt on but that only runs after that failure #3 appears for the second time.

If I need to write a tip action to bring up my own failure messages then it is fine.  But how is that possible?  I can't find how to store the number of attempts at a variable so that I can display appropriate messages.

I am using Captivate version 9.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Leigh

A quiz question slide contains only three tests:

    • On slide Enter - used when you go to the slide, but not after
    • Success - when you question
    • On the last attempt - when you have exhausted all right tests and still did not have the correct question.  If you set attempts to infinity, this event does not fire and therefore cannot be used to trigger actions.

As you noted, Captivate provides up to three different failure messages. There is not really much you can do with default quiz question slides beyond this point.

However, you do not have the ability to use areas of text on a slide of normal to create something that works very similar to a quiz question slide (and it may be too much) but with more flexibility around how many events you have to trigger actions. What the user enters into the text field is recorded in an associated variable, which you can then evaluate forward conditional Actions.

  • failure message after replacing the drive #2 0203 IDE

My DVD is UJ - 820B and I replaced it with exactly the same.
The dif is that the former is FW: 1.00 while the other is FW: 1.05
    1. is the only solution to fix the PIN? If Yes can you pls confirm with pins.
    2. the IDE #2 error means that: Bay DVD is on primary slave while the DVD is secondary master or vice versa?

Can is it you further please let me know.
If you wish to contact me by e-mail at [email protected]

I guess that the CD/DVD drive supports another setting master/slave/c-salt.
FDI #2 error is displayed because the BIOS can't recognize the drive correctly.

The problem is that it of not possible to change these settings as on external drives by changing the rider a special internal firmware control these settings.

You suggested that the reader is the same but the firmware is different.
Well, in my opinion, that's a reason for the issue
