DVD HP m9351 problem

Last night I inserted a DVD on my drive which had been the perfect job for the last 6 months. the disc spun and started to play, then everything froze. I took the outer disc and put another disc in and it saids no DVD in the drive. I put a CD and it work I stop completely and not restarted no joy still cannot read DVD

The drive is ts-H653Q. I can't find the drivers or fireware updates and in the air like Vista driver it uses generic cd.sys to make it work.

I hate to tell you this, but you could have a laser failure in your car... or it could be a software/registry problem (but I think it could be a faulty drive since he stopped on you during use).

Try the procedure described in this article from hp (especially step 4 that will help determine if the drive is bad):

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00870594

If you want to try registry changes to see if that helps, look at this article (see also step 4):

Let us know how it goes.

  • HP Mediasmart DVD - Blu Ray problem

    Hi I have a HP Pavilion dv6t-2300.

Last month I had a problem when trying to play a few blurays with smart media. It was as if the Player tries to rplay disc, but after some time nothing happened, if I tried to update the software, but it shows an error during installation (something on this topic couldn't find a dll file in the folder of mediasmart dvd), I tried to uninstall it but displayed the same problem. After struggling with it, I decided to restore my laptop with the recovery discs.

It worked, I was able to watch my blurays, but recently the same problem came back. So I did a little research and I found that the PC or device manager sees 2 readers of comics (F and H). I also found that I can see all the files on disc bluray but I can't play any of them media smart dvd.

I also installed the Power DVD 10 to test as a trial and it cannot read the movies either, it says that the disk has a format of media unrecognize, or something like that.

So I decided to try to update with the latest version (4.2.4701), but the error I mentioned earlier, appeared once again, I have the previous version (4.1.4328).

As the media smart dvd worked until now I run only a few updates of windows and the HP updates (like the quick launch buttons and chipset). I wonder if these updates have something to do with the problem.

BTW: I can watch DVD movies without problem in the DVD Smart Media, the problem occurs only with the BD discs.

I hope you can help me...

    Thanks in advance.

  • CD/DVD Tecra A2 problem

Was a problem with my carpet * a reader of DVD-RAM UJ 820 S on the Toshiba Tecra A2.

Was working fine until I tried to copy songs from a CD on the computer, on which he could not complete the operation and seemed at hand making a sort of buzz.

I cancelled the process and released the CD but although CD I put it it doesn't recognize it and if I go to D: / (CD player) he says the disc has 0 bytes used space and free space of 0 bytes.

Windows offers everything goes well and I tried to play with the drivers, but of course, as I have the actual driver on a Toshiba CD I can't do anything with that!

Kudos to anyone who can give me advice,

    Hello
seems to be that your DVD-Ram has a malfunction.

Just to ybout sure, try to start from a CD or DVD in Dos Mode. If this also fails, contact a Toshiba Service Center for control of your laptop.

Since last week, I get an error message 'Error reading media' when I try to play the dvd. All decoded still play dvd. > It is strange to me that this driver for DVD - RAM is Microsoft. can I install Mat * original drivers?
As noted in the previous announcement the CD/DVD drive is still controlled by Microsoft Windows driver!
There is no other pilot who could control the STRANGE

    Back to your question;
    There are two reasons why your CD/DVD drive does not read the disc;
First the disc would be insufficiently supported or the s drive laser lens cannot handle the disc to the stress matrix laser lens could also not be clean
You could clean the lens with a cotton tip and alcohol
    In my case it helped

  • Satellite A135-S2386 - DVD - RAM drive problems

Hi guys, I have a Toshiba Satellite A135-S2386.
I had once repaired because it is over heated and died.

One problem I noticed, the fool who fixed, he didn't put it back correctly, and the DVD player has been hot glued...
I fixed in March, April. But I'm used to, I can anyway...

However, there is a significant problem.
Written DVD player and bed PERFECTLY well in windows, however it cannot not be detected in the BIOS or what not.
As XPInstallation Windows, Vista install detects it but BIOS can't.

Can I update the firmware of the DVD-RAM? It's years Panasonic UJ-840.
Or I can update the BIOS of the machine itself?

You can boot from the CD? If the boot of CD work, then the BIOS is to see it properly.

You could try an update of the BIOS anyway, go to http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp

For some reason any time my DVD Rom and my DVD + RW readers had a problem. In Device Manager, I get a yellow exclamation and error "damaged or missing. (Code 39) "Apart from these TWO discs. Can anyone help?

It is a common problem with the Windows operating system. Microsoft has created a tool to solve this problem. You can run the tool of the Internet link following which will identify the problem and solve the problem:

  • T400 DVD/CD player problem

Someone had a problem where the CD/DVD drive is not working/spin at all?

For example, when you start normally if there is a cd or dvd in the drive, it will spin, and whenever you insert a new cd in Windows it will turn to read.

Right now, the drive is not turn the discs at all and I just get a little buzz for about two seconds and then nothing. Does not read the disk, cannot read disks, do not play music cd, nothing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

burn a cd live linux and boot the laptop with it, if the live cd works then it's a software problem that prevents your scanner working, if this does not work then you probably have a hardware problem.

  • Need to Format, any serious, not from Vista DVD with pc problem

I bought a m8300f HP from Circuit City last year. It's a great PC. I had the fire-dog team (the equivalent of Best Buy Geek Squad) install a nVidia GeForce 8800 GT video card in the computer, because the lack of a decent video card is the only complaint I had. They have done professionally without voiding the warranty.

It's been a year now, I moved away from this place of Circuit City, and the company will also slowly out of business. I'm here, and my computer is having a problem. It is with direct X or something else like a virus. Be that as it may, I am unable to run 80% of games on my PC (it's almost 30 games old like System Shock 2 and as new as Crysis Warhead).

This isn't my problem. I do not in the face of that, I'm looking at the Format Office (as I've been meaning to for a month or two now) which will probably solve some problem I have (aka get rid of the virus, where it exists - and I scanned twice - or start over from scratch with direct-X.)

Here's my problem: I want to format drives C and E of the desktop computer, which normally is easy, HOWEVER:

    1. the office is bought in-store, so I had no DVD installation Vista or Vista Serial Key #. I don't have installation CD

    2. I never had any type of installation CD for my card GeForce 8800 video Circuit City installed without extra cost other than the purchase price.

    3. I have NO installation CD for ANY program, any driver, whatever it is. I have a desktop computer that needs reformatting and nothing more than that. No CD, no papers with n ° of series's. absolutely nothing.

What can I do? It is even POSSIBLE to format? Can I save Vista and all the drivers required to install once it has finished formatting?

    Or am I "screwed"?

I look forward to a response and I can answer any additional questions. I have all day free and I have 35 DVD-R and CD - R 50, just in case I have to save something.

    Help?

Edit: I have Word from someone else that I don't need any other CD for my desktop PC. I use the onboard sound of my motherboard. They told me that my nVidia card I could get the drivers on the internet and I could do the same thing for my processor etc. He's right? He said everything I need to worry is to get my vista OS re-installed, and after that the computer runs like new?
    Message edited by Wek11 on 02/28/2009 10:16

In fact, I just started my pc and found the Recovery Manager of the system that supposedly it resets to factory settings and re installed Vista on its own.

We'll see if it actually works. Thanks if. I appreciate the help, better phone service who was trying to charge me $ 100 to renew my warranty of the phone support when all I need to know had nothing to do with HP, and everything to do with the way Windows works

    Hi KEVINQUACH,

    1. When you have the startup problem?

    2. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

3 - is this happen when you try to burn any type of particular file?

You can check out the following link and try the steps suggested by Aziz N Support Engineer on December 2, 2009, and check if this may help.

    ===============================
You are running Windows or Vista Movie Maker 6
    Live Movie Maker?

Have you tried to save your Movie Maker project
in the format of WMV movie to a folder on your hard drive
disk before importing in DVD Maker?

Sorry... I don't have the exact answer, but I know
some questions that may contribute to this problem...

    (1) using the incompatible sources in the project files.

Several formats are apparently compatible with
Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp
    Video - wmv
    Audio - wav, wma, wmv

    (2) the project is too large and/or complex.

The fix for this would be to create several small
projects and save each of them in the movie WMV
format in a folder on your hard drive.

The collected WMV files can then be re-imported
in Movie Maker to bring together in a single
film or they can be imported into DVD Maker
and each comes a scene on a DVD.

    (3) codec issues.

Sometimes, this can be corrected by opening film
Manufacturer and go to the... Tools / Options / Compatibility
tab, and uncheck all filters / OK.

Not an option if you are running Live Movie maker
but you can do it in DVD Maker,

    See the following article:

How to burn DVDs with Windows DVD Maker
    http://www.7tutorials.com/how-burn-DVDs-Windows-DVD-Maker
(scroll waaay down for...) What to do in case of problems)

    (4) video driver needs to update.

If you reduce the graphic hardware acceleration as
According to the instructions in the following article... you can
See an improvement. If... Yes, you need to update
your video driver. (improvement or not... do not forget to)
return to full acceleration after the experience)

How to put in back of graphics hardware acceleration

(scroll down to: "If you use Windows Vista")

Also, some systems cannot handle Vista Movie
Machine 6 or Windows Live Movie Maker... among those
instances... There's an earlier version which can be
    downloaded and installed:

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

    Windows Movie Maker 2.6

First, disable video filters, see the following article:

  • Playback of DVD and streaming problems

Hi, I have problems when I play DVD or stream movies. The DVD stop and start during playback and the same happens when streaming. I tried everthing Inc. system restore, I do not have the disk of vista because it was preinstalled on my pc, any suggestions?

    Hello

I suggest you a boot minimum troubleshooting to try to isolate which interferes with the normal operation:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 do not assume that any program of an individual could not be at fault.

A preinstalled system must have a method to reinstall, it's usually a separate accessible at startup restore volume. Preinstall the system builders rarely provide records of our days. Note that these procedures for recovering factory usually erase all data currently on the system. Your support online documentation or the manufacturer of the system will have details on how to use the method of recovery that they have planned.
