DVD - rom click on Satellite L750-11W

Hello

I have a Satellite L750-11W and every 4-5 min DVD - rom clicks... I'm sure the DVD clicks for the simple fact that the sound is similar to the noise during the closing of the DVD-rom and the sound comes from the top right corner (DVD-rom).

The HARD drive is in the lower left corner, and it's annoying.
I don't know why it is clicking.

Have you noticed the same behavior in the past until you have installed additional software (factory settings)?

The CD/DVD-Rom on my satellite 1110 has suddenly stopped working. When I insert a cd or a dvd there is no activity in the drive and when I look in my computer there is no recognized files.

I used the Device Manager and it says that the device is working normally. It's like the PC just can't 'see' the camera more.

I installed Gears of War game CD on my computer (Windows VISTA) and make me "Please insert the correct DVD - ROM, click OK and restart the application" - but the disk is IN the drive.  I've been on the net and does not know what is the problem and why this game will not run.  I've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled tried to run as administrator, got the latest patch, all the things that have said all sites to do - anyone have any ideas?  Any help would be appreciated!  Thank you!

    Hi NoOneSpeciale,

It is very possible that your CD may be damaged.  Is it possible to get another copy to try on your machine? Or try this copy on another machine to see if it works or not.
Also check in control panel--> system--> for you Device Manager make sure that there is no yellow/red icon next to the CD player and it's function correctly.

  • Satellite L750-11W - DVD rom doesn't read any DVD

    The problem is very annoying, that the dvd rom is not reading my dvd;

I tried to install a game on a dvd but it doen't want to read it, I have, but another dvd (different game) and it read; the two DVD works on other laptops (I checked)

DVDs are not made by me, they are purchased in the store

any ideas on what's going on? I reinstalled the driver but nothing

    I use w7 ultimate x 64

I found your other son that you posted some time there is failure of CD/DVD drive.
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=72663

My idea was to clean the laser lens, but has already been suggested in other threads as well.

In my opinion, there is not much to do sometimes firmware could be updated to improve the compatibility between the different discs, but this is possible only in case these packages would be available.
I checked the page of the Toshiba UE driver and firmware update is not available for the series L750.
So I guess that your problem is related to the WEIRD malfunction.

  • DVD Rom in a Satellite 4030 CD drive?

I have an old Toshiba Satellite 4030 CD. I would like to know if I am able to install a dvd rom drive in this laptop. If so what models would take on this machine.

    Thank you

    PB

    Hi Breck,

in my opinion there is no way to upgrade the internal CD on a DVD player because the CD player is set up and could only be replaced with the same model!

Only an external USB or PCMCIA solution would fit!

    Sorry!

  • Cannot find drivers for two Satellite L750-11W

I want to reinstall Windows on 2 laptops a L750-11W Satellite and a Satellite L650-1QJ and I decided first to download all drivers... so I opened the browser access the Web from Toshiba site and try to find the drivers and the surprise of your product cannot be found.

I can't find drivers for any of them... I ve tried auto detect and inserted the soap operas myself but nothing... where can I find the drivers?
And another question if I'm going to install Win8 on them I can use drivers for win7 or Toshiba will put some new drivers for them?

If auto-detection doesn t work you can find the drivers manually. I m wondering really t has not thought of that. Go to download page http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp and search for drivers manually.
It does not much for you. Anyway, if you need help, let us know.

Some assignments in the past I've understand that Win7 drivers cannot be used with Win8 so you have to wait until Toshiba starts Win8 support for all models of laptops. The list of all the supported portable Win8, you can find on http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/generic/windows8-message > Toshiba compatibility matrix.

  • How to remove the DVD ROM on the Satellite L300D 242?

    Hello

my laptop (* Toshiba L300D 242 *) DVD ROM has been damaged and I have acquired a new and now I can not figure out how to remove my old DVD ROM and replace it with a new one... Please help me understand how to remove the old and replace it with a new one...
    Thank you...
    E-mail: [[email protected]]

Agree with Feliks the ODD is secured by a screw hidden in the HARD drive Bay.
So the HARD drive Bay cover must be removed to access this screw procedure is not really difficult, so you should be able to remove it easily.

    Hello

I m not 100% sure, but at the bottom of the unit, you should find a screw that holds the road. In my opinion, you should remove this screw. But be careful.

  • Need driver for the DVD-ROM in my Satellite A100-812

Who can help me with the driver for the DVD-ROM in my notebook? It's a rug * a UJ-850 s. These days he asks that whenever you load a disc (CD or DVD) if I want it to be formatted. All that s what it does. I tried to find the driver for peut-t, but I find on the Web. Can someone help me solve this problem?
    Thank you

    Hendrik

There is no such thing as a pilot for ODD (optical disc drive). It uses the standard Microsoft driver. Try please remove the disc from the Device Manager, then restart the laptop. After reboot the ODD will be detected and installed it again. Check please if the problem persists.

If yes I recommend you to install the driver for DVD-RAM (DVDForm Utility). You can find it on the download page of Toshiba. I use the 3.0.9.0a version. and it works perfectly.

  • Satellite L750-11W - cannot write data to the DVD-ROM drive

I have the laptop for about 2 years
I have never used dvd - ram to write only for playback
Early on, I noticed there was some lag before you begin to hear the sound of the DVD-ram, but it don't think it was a question

Today, I tried to write files to a dvd. I inserted the blank dvd and waited and waited nothing happened.
I tried to access the dvd - ram but nothing. I checked the game automatic and chosen options always ask. Re-inserted the blank dvd and waited a few minutes, then the Autoplay menu appears. I selected the option to burn with windows software, selected files, pressed burn, whereas it was over. Reinsert the dvd and guess what... it was empty. None of the files have been written on the DVD.

I watched the dvd (in the back) clearly nothing has been written.
I installed nero, and first of all, I checked the write speed.
Well in the specifications, he says that this dvd - ram must write with 8 x.
Nero told me that she could write with only 4 x. Then I tried to write the files with Nero.

Waited for 10 minutes (time estimated by nero) and the dvd was ejected and nero says writing has failed at 4 x.
I looked on the dvd. There were some marks, but the dvd should have been full.

In any case the dvd was wrecked... visited the site Web of Toshiba and creator of disc uploaded... Installed... reboot the laptop... start disk creator of... Well what a shock I kept getting the same error:

    An unexpected error has occurred.
    Error code: 320097-49-00000001
    Press ok

100 times the error persists until the program starts and he tells me that there are no recordable disks attached. Now, I'm really disappointed.
    What can I do?

    OS: Win 7 ultimate x 64
the dvd - ram works correctly (via Device Manager)

Why you n t try an other DVD like DVD R discs
I had the same experience as you. Some discs are good, some are not so good.
There are different manufacturers providing different types of discs with different quality standards.

I tested a lot of drive but from the best experience with DVD R TDK or Verbatim

    Hello

is it possible to make it work or external usb2.o case is the answer?

    Robert

    Hi Robert,.

You have loaded the device appropriate for the new device drivers? They should be available on the Toshiba web site.

It should also check that the old device is removed from Device Manager and then restart the laptop. The new optical drive should then be detected during the boot process.

  • No DVD-ROM after recovery - Satellite A100-289

I recently had my A100-289 expedition in for repair. A few days later the unit returned to me with a new motherboard.
Unfortunately my OS has not started, so I got it from the DVD.

Once you have completed the recovery process, Windows MCE prompted with the "new hardware found" - Assistant, who wanted to install a driver for the DVD drive. Usually you don't need drivers for these, do you think?

After searching in vain the net for several hours, I tried to recover once more, then maybe the problem would disappear by itself, but unfortunately this was not the case, not even after the third recovery.

I tried to install on a clean install disc that I used on my desktop before, just to see if it works and then uninstall it. What can I say? It didn't work anyway :(
I am writing from said computer laptop on which I have installed as secondary to Mandriva Linux 2008 operating system. The DVD player works perfectly here.

I concluded it must be a software problem, which has to do with Windows maybe, there is a way to solve it, but I don't have a working solution yet, although I tried to uninstall and reinstall both driver and drive several times without success.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

First of all if you are able to install one operating system and then the CD/DVD drive works and surely it s not a hardware issue.
Then you should check the Device Manager after installing the recovery CD if there is no yellow exclamation point.
Then you must remove the drive from Device Manager and should access the registry.

It to completely remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters from the following registry key values:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

    and then restart the laptop.

    Good luck

  • DVD-ROM on the Satellite L300 - 144 (PSLB0E) does not

    Hi all

I have a problem with my DVD player does not.

When I bought the laptop 2 months ago it was working fine, after about 2 weeks the DVD player started playing some DVDs and others read do not. I decided that I was going to go down the slope from Vista to XP to support programming languages and DB management tools does not not on Vista. After formatting and XP is loading, the DVD Player did exactly the same thing. Now 2 months down the line is not read or write any DVD and not CD even if it's still the DVD playback.

I followed the steps on the forum to remove the disc from the device and then Manager deleting Upper and Lower filters, although I couldn't find any filters lower or higher in the folder specified by the users of the forum. I restarted the machine and the pilot has been reloaded without a bit of luck. When you open the DVD drive in my computer, it's a blank screen as it would be for a compilation in writing, even if the DVD contains information on, even original movies DVD does exactly the same thing.

I also tried to recover the installation of Vista from the recovery DVD and it is not reading the DVD.

I looked in the manual where it says that the machine should have a readers following Panasonic UJ-870 b/UJ-870F, Hitachi GSA-T40N/GSA-T40F, Pioneer DVR-KD08TBM/DVR-KD08TBF, Samsung TS-L632H/TS-L632P or Toshiba SD-L802B. However if I go to my computer / device manager / Nero Info tool it shows all the DVD drive as drive SD-L622A. The driver info is the next Microsoft 5.1.2535.0 (2001/07/01) with firmware T070 version.

With the Toshiba Software accompanies the drive also fails.

Is there an updated driver that will help or updates the firmware or other solutions available to me?

    Thank you

    Hello

    you wrote

It tells me that your DVD player is broken. Failure of equipment.

go to a Toshiba ASP. I think that your laptop is still under warranty.

  • Satellite L750-11W - its more powerful is on the left side - SOLUTION

Ive always noticed something strange on the sound when you use when using headphones and portable speakers.

The sound is more powerful on the left side. I checked the sound balanced and it is balanced. I mean that it is attached to the same amplitude of the right speaker and the left...

When you test the speakers with the windows audio software (tested the speakers, one at a time) the left is more powerful than the right and another strange thing is that the test of the right speaker its peeping (sound tests) is lower amplitude for the right speaker and it is not complete...

The sound is about 2 sec and on the right speaker, this is what happens: the sound is lower and it can be heard for 1 second and after that the rest of the sound can be heard on the left speaker (the sound is more powerful)

The audio driver is up to date

I just found out what my problem was. It's the smart audio 3d immersion option. * I disabled it and the sound is normal now *... but there is a question why 3d immersion for whom?

    > I just discovered what my problem was. It's the smart audio 3d immersion option. I disabled it and the sound is normal now

    Great! Thanks for the comments!

    > but there is a question why 3d immersion to whom?

Smart Audio provides various settings that change the audio properties, that I want to say that it is a sort function that allows you to change the sound.
