Hello

Does anyone know how many routes (OSPF) dynamic a FWSM can handle. I can´t find this information on the website, so if you know a link that specifies this I´d much enjoy it.

    Here my question: I want to remove static route of PIX515 and use dynamic routing, but I hesitated because I have ACLs for VPN, where branch destination LAN (and will serve as an int on the outside) and dynamic road that shows the way to the domestic LAN through branches int PIX515. How this will be live together? And what will be used first - road or ACL?

    The PIX can run RIP and OSPF today, but not those of a VPN. If you want to learn routes dynamically through the VPN you can do that, so you need to use static routes instead. Looks like you might be interested by the DMVPN function in IOS routers.

    Routing, regarding all the traffic that you want to use a VPN must first be routed on an interface that has the appropriate encryption card applied, then if this traffic matches an ACL encryption card it will be encrypted and sent to the corresponding VPN peer. That's to say routing goes first for the outbound VPN traffic, then encryption. No matter if channels are static or learned dynamically, except, as I mentioned above, you can now run a routing through a VPN Protocol in the PIX.

    Can someone offer me some advice on this please?

    I have attached a simple diagram of our EXTENSIVE referral network.

    Overview

    • The firewall is ASA 5510 running 8.4 (9)
    • Basic to the Headquarters network uses OSPF
    • On ASA static routes are redistributed into OSPF
    • On ASA for VPN static routes are redistributed into OSPF with 130 metric so redistributed BGP routes are preferred
    • Basic network has a static route to 10.0.0.0/8 to Corporate WAN, which is redistributed into OSPF
    • Branch Office WAN uses BGP - routes are redistributed into OSPF
    • The branch routers using VRRP for redundancy of the IP for the default gateway of local customers.
    • Branch router main past off VRRP IP to router backup when the WAN interface is down
    • BO backup router (. 253) contains only a default route to the internet
    • In normal operation, the traffic to and from BO uses Local Branch Office WAN
    • If local BO WAN link fails, traffic to and from the BO uses IPSec VPN via public Internet

    I try to configure dynamic routing on our network for when a branch switches to the IPsec VPN. What I want to happen (not sure if it is possible) is for the ASA announce the subnet to the remote end of the VPN in OSPF to Headquarters.

    I managed to get this working using IPP, but for some reason any VPN stay up all the time when we are not in a failover scenario. This causes the ASA added the table as a static route is the remote subnet in it and do not use the announced route of OSPF from the core network. This prevents the BO customers access to the Internet. If I remove the IPP on the VPN setting, ASA learns the route to the subnet via the WAN BO - resumes normal operation.

    I have configured the metric of the static routes that get redistributed into OSPF by ASA superior to 110. This is so that the routes redistributed by the WAN BO OSPF BGP, are preferred. The idea being that when the WAN link is again available, the routing changes automatically and the site fails to WAN BO.

    I guess what I need to know is; This design is feasible, and if so where I'm going wrong?

    your ASA maintains the tunnel alive only because this path exists on ASA.  This is why you must use IP - SLA on ASA to push network taffic "10.10.10.0/24" based on the echo response, using the ALS-intellectual property

    Please look at the example below, in the example below shows that the traffic flows through the tunnel, only if the ASA cannot reach the 10.10.10.0/24 network via the internal network of HQ.

    Routing is used for calls for installation (who have asked and answer) that is routing action awaits the response before going to the pipeline of response
    Publish is used for asynchronous calls (which does not hv any answer).

    I use the web console for my development OSB and when I click on the business service the path appears as "Back/BusinessService/CreditRatingTemplate" (based on the example downloaded from the link given by me)

    I guess you are using the Eclipse/workshop for development and therefore find the below:

    Can you replace it without the front / at the beginning of the URL and see if it works.

    You really need 2 BPEL process as you said. I have not tried, but BSE may be able to have 2 adapters incoming to map it to a BPEL process.

    Dynamic routing is more outgoing, not falling.

    (1) please let me know if IPP works on a Site in tunnel

    (2) I have a behind remote ASA 10.10.1.0 and 10.10.2.0 network that must be distributed to another branch ASA with S2S ASA remote via OSPF

    3) there is an L3 Switch behind the ASA of the branch and Switch L3 there is a router that has a default route pointing router WAN

    Note: 10.10.1.0 2.0 AND are already configured in the ACL Crypto at the ends.

    Users are able to reach the 10.10.2.X network to the remote end.

    Now for the 10.10.2.0 static routes are already there in the router and the switch finally pointing the ASA branch however as the network grows, it is impossible in the router behind the switch to add static whenever routes (such as the default route to router WAN points). This is why in order to learn routes dynamically, I will add an ospf process to the ASA to branch with the following configuration. Please let me know if iam correct when I add IPP and other OSPF commands to the ASA of the branch. (hope I have nothing to do on ASA remote associated with IPP or OSPF?)

    Pls set the OSPF firstly on the SAA process before removing the static routes. Once you have confirmed that the OSPF is configured correctly and the roads are in the OSPF database, then you can delete the static routes. Static routes will always take precedence over OSPF because it has higher metric. Please keep the default route configured on the SAA.

  • Adding interface routed in the State of dynamic routing

    I have a 3560 which hangs a 6509. The next SVI s direct on the 3560:

    192.168.181.1(VLAN 192.168.180.1 (VLAN 180), 181), 192.168.182.1 (VLAN 182), 192.168.183.1 (VLAN 183), 192.168.184.1 (VLAN 183).

    I want to create the router eigrp statement that says:

    Router eigrp 777

    network 192.168.180.0 0.0.0.225

    network 192.168.181.0 0.0.0.225

    network 192.168.182.0 0.0.0.225

    network 192.168.183.0 0.0.0.225

    network 192.168.184.0 0.0.0.225

    Now for the routed on the 3506 interface that is 192.168.0.17 can I create a statement of routing for the and it's as simple as network 192.168.0.17 0.0.0.3?  What of the other side do I add network 192.168.0.17 0.0.0.3 in the instruction of network on the 6509?

  • ASA - IOS VPN dynamic routing

    I saw the docs that show how to configure ASA-ASA VPN share OSPF routes and for IOS to IOS OSPF sharing routes. Is it possible to get the ASA to IOS device?

    I'm supposed to put in place a DMVPN through some remote sites, and there is an ASA one of the sites. The EIGRP routes are expected to be shared across the DMVPN (I suppose could go to OSPF if necessary). My plan for the site of the SAA was to set up a VPN site-to-site regular with the DMVPN hub and redistribute OSPF and EIGRP routes in the other, so the rays can talk to the ASA branch by the hub.

    Is it possible, or I have to use static routes to and from the network of the ASA?

    In the road map you must place a match statement corresponding prefixes/subnets that you would like to advertise in EIGRP.

    About the ASA, normally you have not to, but I don't see a problem with the addition of statements of IPP in crypto card (normally).

    In any case take step by step, start by checking what the situation will be when you insert routes into the routing on the hub by RRI table. Then, if necessary, redistribute static routes in EIGRP.

  • VPN site to Site with dynamic routing on ASAs

    I'm planning a backup connection to a primary site if our link main broken through two ASAs using site to site vpn.

    This is what I have resulted to date and just need to work through some issues and best practices.

    ##Regular connectivity and Internet traffic flow "> Primary_Internet".

    Backup_Internet - ASA - CoreA - router-->> Private_Wan<>

    ?? If Private_Wan a link down, use via ASA l2l Internet VPN to connect sites

    x - router - CoreA - ASA-->> VPN l2l<>

    ?? Once the link is available, preferred over the private Wan path must be used.

    A few questions,

    1. can I use a routing via the l2l VPN Protocol? VTI, GRE?

    2. If I enter OSPF or EIGRP, will be the last static use of each work in the ASA redistibuting?

    3. in execution of VPN l2l, using 'show the way' does not show available via the vpn routes, only "crypto ipsec to show his" watch info. Is this correct? If yes how metric would work for routes registered if all the links are up and there are many paths to the same subnet?

    (2) I would keep as simple as possible, you can put all one VPN perhaps NSSA, if your ASA touch BB.

    (3) IPP on ASA is always the insertion of static routes, it is not the best way to generate the backup.

  • OSB 12 &amp; dynamic route: $operation is empty

    I'm migrating a project of OSB 11 g to 12 c and encountered a problem.

    The project has a part where a proxy call another proxy via a DR.

    For example:

    Proxy entry:

The selector is set to SOAPAction, which is NOT right - nobody sent SOAPAction to the second proxy - but it works in OSB 11 because $operation in the second proxy corresponds to the value set in ctx:route by the first proxy.

    No more the OSB 12. The OSB 12 the $operation is empty. Thus the code fails.

    Of course, I could pass through the head of a transport operation, but my example is a simplification of the actual design. The first proxy in my case is a shared code that is used to call hundreds of different proxy servers. I don't want to inject everything with a transport header arbitrary that they do not need. Ideally, I'd like that the $operation is filled in the same way as before.

    Does anyone have an idea about this problem?

  • As a router WRT54GS cascading with IP fixed address block

    Hello

    I read several threads on the routers in cascade and the Knowledge Base, but none seems to fix my script with a router with fixed IP address block.

    My current setup is an ADSL circuit with a block of 8 fixed IP addresses. Of them the first xx.xx.xx.137 is assigned to interface the router, the second xx.xx.xx.138 for the router itself WAN xx.xx.xx.139/140/141/142/143 leaving as usable IP addresses. Connected to the ADSL circuit is that a D-Link DSL-G604T router with NAT disabled to allow IP addresses to be assigned to my web servers and ftp. Of course, DHCP is disabled on the LAN interface.

    Unfortunately, the transmitter wireless on this router is defective so I would my Linksys WRT54GS (Firmware v1.50.6) D-Link router cascade so that I can use it (with active DHCP) as a point of access for multiple wireless devices.

    This thought through to logically I've named WAN 54GS with one of the xx.xx.xx.140 to static IP address available, a subnet mask 255.255.255.248 and the door entry xx.xx.xx.138. I left the LAN settings like the beach 192.168.1.xxx and DHCP active. I then connected the interface WAN of the 54GS to one of the LAN connections on the D-Link with a straight ethernet cable.

    I can connect to the admin 54GS via a direct ethernet connection and wireless interface but not to the internet.

    I can ping that is the xx.xx.xx.140 of the interface wan of the 54GS since a laptop computer connected wireless but not the IP address of the gateway of the network xx.xx.xx.138. D-Link router.

    Am I missing some other settings in the router. Especially in the routing section advanced? I guess that the device must be set to a router rather than the bridge, but if there are parameters of dynamic routing?

    Just thought I would update this post. I tried from you suggestions, but to no avail. The frustration I did a hard reset of the router D-Link and set it up again from scratch and... Hey presto it now works.

    I can only think that there may have been some settings left from when the router has been initially implemented for Nat and I had configured port forwarding. In any case it now works OK then thank you very much for your answer.

  • WRT600N advanced routing problems / use as Access Point and switch

    Firmware 1.01.36 build 4 The WRT600N is connected to an existing LAN and is really only used as a Wireless N access point. There is nothing plugged into the WAN port; only the LAN port. I have NAT disabled. All traffic from a client connected to the WRT600N wireless going very well for the gateway and the Internet router. The customer experience is very good. However, there are a few minor issues as follows.

    1] Setup > Advanced Routing tab has only the following options; to do this, * not * have a picker 'Mode '. NAT, static routing and dynamic routing (RIP).    IS this NORMAL, OR should HAVE a MODE (e.g. switch) AS REFERRED to IN THE HELP FILES?

    [2] even if a connection wireless or wired to the WRT600N works very well, the WRT600N himself is unable to connect to the internet. It cannot connect to NTP to set the time and I can't ping past the gateway router using the ping of the WRT600N diagnostic utility. I ping the gateway 192.168.1.4 port inside, but I can't use the diagnostic the WRT600N ping ping utility something beyond this gateway port. The routing of the WRT600N table is below. THE GATEWAY SHOULD NOT BE 192/168.1.4? HOWEVER THE WRT600N DON'T ME LETS NOT CHANGE IT.

    Topic 1. Linksys, used to have a mode option to switch between the modes 'Bridge' and 'router '. The latest routers call it now better NAT power. Gateway mode means THAT NAT is enabled. Router mode means THAT NAT is disabled. The help files are probably a little bit over. But the option is still the same.

    Re 2. It's normal if you use it as only access point (i.e. do not use the WAN port). The router always takes into account that the internet connection via the WAN port, i.e. it will always use the default gateway on the WAN port. If nothing is connected to the WAN port on the router itself has no default gateway and therefore has no access to the internet. Generally, you are not able to establish the default route in either advanced routing page. It is a known limit of these routers if you do not use as a router.

  • WRT160N: Getting dynamic IP address 169

    Hello!

    Linksys WRT160N, bought yesterday and I want it behaves same way did my Buffalo WHR-HP-G54. So I live in apartment building for students, and we don't have modems, just the RJ-45 ports in the wall. If I plug the cable directly from the wall of the network card in my computer, my computer receives the dynamic ip address from the ISP. With my Buffalo, I connected the ethernet to the WAN sa-port cable and changed the router in bridge mode. In this way, there was 4 other ports free for the other PC and of course wireless too much for the other PC. Each PC connected via the Buffalo had a dynamic ip address from ISP, up to five addresses, which is the limit of my ISP. I plugged the ethernet cable from the wall of WRT160N Internet port and disabled NAT, dynamic routing (RIP) and DHCP server on the router Linksys, so all my computers have addresses ip starting with 169. And when I plug the ethernet cable from the wall to a port other than Internet-port of Linksys, all computers get the correct IP addresses via a wireless cable. What is wrong, is at - it a setting I have not seen? Some setting that I can use Internet-port and have other 4 free ports for other devices and other devices can get dynamic IP from my ISP.

    Unlike the Buffalo WHR the Linksys doesn't have a configuration option or switch to alternate between the 'bridge' and the router mode. The Linksys always uses the internet port on a different interface of the numbered ports. You can't fill.

    For example, if you want to 'bridge' with the Linksys is the configuration you already have when wiring from the outlet ports numbered, i.e. do not use the internet port. You will have to "give up" the internet port then. If you need more wired ports, you must connect a switch to the router.
