  • Install an upgrade of Vista or Win 7 from Xp or Vista: can I install the first then get updates then install or just install when the first is installed? And other related issues.

Firstly: I understand that Windows XP can have Windows Vista upgrades. Second, Windows 7 upgrades require Windows Vista not windows XP.

    So:

-If I had to install Windows XP: I install the Vista upgrade right after? Or should I get all updates for XP first?

-If I had to install Windows Vista: I would like to install the Windows 7 upgrade right after? Or should I get the updates for Vista first?

-Would be recognized hardware in a laptop in the upgrade or installation of the version full? For example: I have a laptop. It is pre-loaded with the software and hardware that had specific software: for example: the modem, modem wireless and other things that the cell needs to function... But I had to make a back-up for the laptop, there was no installation cd and cd software. I know that Windows installs drivers that are ok. The material would be useless if?

    Thank you.

"If it ain't broke...". "is well thought!

It is whether equipment manufacturers if they write Vists/etc drivers, or not.

And they often decide to sell more NEW material, instead of writing the most recent operating system drivers.

Microsoft depends a lot on what they provide.

  • Turning on g60-235dx; has said it is to install the updates, then reboots on & more...?

Here's the process sort of what the computer goes through when I turn it on:

    1. turn on

    2. when the screen is always black, it displays a message"for a moment or two that says" 2/83 (_000000000000000.cdf - ms).

3 carry on as if it is going back to start normally

4 makes this startup sound and displays the glowing 'windows' logo

5 screen "install updates".  It is said it is install update 3 of 3 and that it is 0% complete

    6. the mouse move

    7. the screen goes black and it shuts

    8. return to step 1 and repeat to infinity. (the 'message' in step 2 changes sometimes other combinations strange number/letter)

I thought that if I left him alone to do that for a minute he could out of his system (not that I thought it would work) and he "restarted" about 15 times before I unplugged and went out of the battery.  I left only a few hours and tried and it's the same thing (except that "Windows is not stopped correctly" screen between steps 1 & 2, but only the first time it "lights up").

I know that the computer has been overheating lately and I intend to clean the fan as soon as I can, but I feel somehow that it is not related...

Any suggestions on how to get this thing working normally again?

    Vista?

After installing updates from Windows Update, it can go into a reboot loop
where you machines arrives at "Configuring updates 3 of 3. X % complete"then freezes or
    that it recharges.

    Solution:

    1. boot from the Windows system repair disc (or a regular installation of Vista/W7 disc) and choose the option fix lower-left
corner, select the Windows system restore and select a prior Restore Point the
    try to install updates.

1B. If you do not have the DVD, and Vista/W7 is preinstalled on the
machine, use F8 to the bios boot screen to get the advanced Windows screen, choose "Repair your computer" in the list, leave the loading of Windows RE then make a Windows system restore.

If it works you will again propose updates to Windows, this time only install some Windows updates at a time, reboot the PC between each round of updates.

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    2. If the restore fails to solve the 3 loop 3, load the recovery environment "command prompt".
    Come in:

    Del C:\Windows\winsxs\pending.xml

    Press ENTER key

exit Recovery Environment and restart the pc, you can get 3/3 one more time, but be patient, the Office should take over. Create a restore point and disable automatic updates until you can get updates caused the loop.

If it works you will again propose updates to Windows, this time only install some Windows updates at a time, reboot the PC between each round of updates.

  • Computer tries to install the update, then turned off and restarts on & on

I was checking e-mail. Vista froze. I turned it off, waited a minute and he turned his back. The display shows "Installing Update 3/3. 0% complete "(ou quelque chose comme ça)." After a moment he said "shuttting down", then restarts on the same screen and stops again, etc.

I tried a beginning of safe mode, safe mode with network, known last good configuration and nothing makes this update screen go away.

To the best of my knowledge, I have NOT interrupted updates at any time.

I had very few problems with Vista so far. I had automatic updates and all other updates have been downloaded successfully except for service pack 1. I now have problems with my system crash fairly regularly when my computer goes into sleep mode or screen saver mode.

Setup cannot update your files because the language installed on your system is different from the update language.

Have you tried manually download the update, save, close all browsers and programs, and then install it, ACKC2009 ?

Suggest trying the installation of * right * clicking on download and choosing "run as Administrator".

IF the update will still not be installed you can call the local office of the PSS for assistance:

Now, normally, I just coordinates with the end-user to him upgrade to Windows 7, however, after watching on the download page of this application (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=13818), I noticed that Windows XP is one of the supported operating systems that can be installed on.  In addition, after looking around on the Technet documentation, I was not given a definitive answer on whether or not this application is not supported on Windows XP.

So, my question is creation of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 report Extension works on Windows XP SP3, or do we let us upgrade this computer to Windows 7?  Thank you!

  • Satellite A300D-15B PSAKCE - cannot install the audio driver for Win XP 64 bit

    Hi all

This is my first post here after hidden during the last week or so, my hope is that somewhere it helps and hope so!

I have a wonderful Toshiba A300D-15B PSAKCE with RAM 4 GB/O, but I suffer from some problems RESEARCH Holy function cannot resolve. I use this laptop as a box of development for uni/work unfortunately...

After a complete nightmare and Vista32, Vista64, I decided to go back to windows XP32, however this custom install, continues to claim a failure of a CRC file after (and Yes, that's with SATA in IDE mode and a disc of XPSP2)

I decided that I really DON'T want to goback to Vista, so installed Windows XP64. Now the first installation is very easy, I have the basic configuration, the chipset, graphic, network, CPU, usb, fine... except basic... and that's where I lost most of my hair... SOUND!

First try to install the results of the pilot of his failure, claiming the mmdriver.inf cannot be found or corrupted, obviously I checked, and yes there it is, downloaded pleasure the MMDRIVER. INF and placed it system32 and the installation always fails.

I also tried a "manual installation", in .inf files... which includes pilots XP32/64 and Vista 32/64 bit drivers, still the same
problem, the driver continues to not install. I am going bald. Exceptional drivers who moved there

Now, as I write this, I heard the rumor that the A305D uses the same
audio/graphics drivers... Well well... off to try something I guess...

If there is no help or ideas, I'd appreciate it.

    Hello

The laptop seems to use the Conexant audio chip. So, you will need the right sound driver for Win XP 64 bit.
Unfortunately, the European driver Toshiba page provides the drivers for Win XP but I don't know if the pilots would cover the OS 64 bit as well m.

Anyway, what you need to know, is that you will need to first install the patches Ms.
The fix KB835221 and KB888111MS must be installed before installing the audio driver.
If you have tried to install the driver, then remove it from the Device Manager and update Windows XP first!

AFAIK that SP3 already contains these patches then perhaps you should install SP3 first before starting with the installation of the audio driver.
