  Sounds like the addition of the globals.inc in your overall layout for e-commerce is an excellent solution for the problem. It is not ideal, but it is easy to manage.

  Muse itself does not have an electronic commerce put in place. You need to find an ecommerce provider that provides include the code to add to a Web site. Services such as Shelfy, etc... There are a lot of eCommerce widgets available to integrate third-party vendors.

  But to be honest, a site of this size is probably well beyond the scope of Muse. If you are looking for a single integrated design and e-commerce system, I would suggest Adobe Business Catalyst.

  You can integrate a handful of places from shopping cart widgets, but there is no generic method to create a site to complete e-commerce just with Muse. It depends on a proper Server backend and the usual approach is to rent an e-shop preconfigured with a hosting provider and customize it.

  I'm a long-time Flash user and get in AS3 with Flash applications and eager to learn more about FLEX. My question is, can create a commerce _entire_ using FLEX site? When I say 'Site of trade', I mean a site that can handle display a database of products (which I know that FLEX can do), place an order and then go all the way when the user pays for the product - secure credit card transactions and management of sensitive information.

  My motivation to ask, is that I know that FLEX is good for management/display databases but all things "safe" (as transactions by credit card) can also be made in the FLEX application?  Or, will it still redirect the user to a https:// page where all transfers of credit card take place?

  If so, are there any good tutorials that can help show me the way?

  As always, all information will be most appreciated.

  Hi again,

  Bobbles, Flex cannot query a database on its own. Again, it is a client-side language, and not a language on the server side (only server-side languages can do such things). The reason why it be used Flex is because it's a compact and complex framework that can increase the time of development madly. If you have some Java experience and have worked with before Eclipse and Flex Builder is a piece of cake.

  Flash is more 'designer-oriented' and is used to manage most of the aestethycal of things. Flex Builder is a pretty good IDE for development, something which is not the Flash (not even half as good as Flex Builder). Flex comes with tons and tons of components that you can use 'out of the box' in your projects (and even extend them or create your own components) where if you choose to Flash, then reinvent much of what Flex can already offer (or lose hours/days/weeks with the graphical part of things rather than concentrate on the application itself and the real problems that might arise).

  Yet once, or Flash or Flex cand query a database or perform a treatment of crazy. This kind of thing is provided by the languages side server that query the database once they receive a request from the Flex application. Once the questioning is done, they send the read data back to Flex, where you can view or manipulate (if handle you and you want to save the manipulated data, then once again, you will be forced to send the data to a script server that can handle the insertion in a database).

  With regard to the payment: it depends. For example, I would consider it more secure you can use the PayPal website when someone needs to pay for something. I'm not saying that it cannot be done with Flex and PHP, but you need to consider if it's really worth the time to build something that can handle the payment dirrectly in the Flex interface (waste of perhaps a few weeks with this) instead of just using something that already exists and is secure (the PayPal page) and if something goes wrong then you can always blame PayPal.

  Flex can display and manipulate complex data, but he can't talk to any server directly, for that, you need PHP or ASP.NET or another language you prefer server-side. I would never choose Flash over Flex when it comes to 'serious requests', Flash is ideal for the more 'fantasy looking for things' and simple websites but if you really want something done the way it should be then will go it with Flex.

  Many issues of the site can be caused by corrupted cookies or cache.

  • Clear the Cache

  Press < Alt > or < F10 > to display the toolbar. Then;

  I continue to be amazed how bad Adobe manages e-commerce transactions. I got e-commerce sites built and managed to them and I have never seen anything as ridiculous as the management of virtual accounts of Adobe. In order to change the method of payment to each other, they have to manually browse the payment and the customer must then go to the online support and go through all the hoops to make understand you want to modify them the options of payment to an agent. Then they physically make a refund and charge your credit card.

Can a company that creates software sophisticated, why don't they implement a virtual payment efficient and automatic while the customer can modify the plan payment schedule (annual for each month or vice versa) and update the account for the payment. He's crazy about that Adobe, in 2016, still use minions to perform these tasks manually, through the huge volume of charges.
