E-mail BTYahoo connection

I have three on BTYahoo email accounts. At the present time they upgrade, and when I log in, I have a pop up telling me this. There is a checkbox so that I do not get this message, but it does not work on Firefox.
I contacted BT and they told me to try a different browser. I used Internet Explorer and can remove the pop-up, Explorer, but not Firefox.
I like to use Firefox, because it is more convenient, but BT almost seem to try to take me away from my choice.
Can you do something to sort them?

I understand that there is a pop up that does not work in Firefox on BTYahoo.

Please make sure that all of your plugins are up-to-date:

If update extensions does not change the problem, plan to start Firefox in Mode safe.

    If I go to the browser and connect you to this mail from yahoo to safari, it works I can connect to this yahoo mail.

    Please help, why one of my yahoo mail cannot connect to my iMac?

    April 6 at 7:00 PM CST, my iPhone 5 running iOS stopped syncing with my Microsoft Outlook account 9.3.1.

    I tried to delete my Outlook account from my iPhone and re-establishment and the account Outlook 'checks' correctly - but this does not solve the problem.

    "Cannot get mail" "cannot connect to the server.

    My iPhone is syncing correctly with my Gmail accounts and iCloud.

    Also, I created my Outlook account on iPad to my daughter who is running iOS 8.1.2 and I have the same problem.

    This seems to be a situation of the Apple servers, do not sync with Microsoft servers.

  • Mail cannot connect to iCloud/Yahoo

    Hi all, as I've had this problem of messaging with El Capitan, I was hoping that after the installation of Sierra it would be fixed, unfortunately not. So I deleted Internet all accounts, shutdown and restarted. I started the Mail and selected Yahoo e-mail accounts and continued from there, hoping that all the necessary parameters would be loaded automatically. Mail has expired. So I ran connection doctor and the journal suggests the Yahoo SMTP connection was successful, Yahoo IMAP failed with the message to check the preferences of account/SSL etc.

    So I restarted Mail and selected iCloud mail accounts and Mail has expired again. Logs show the SMTP and IMAP for iCloud failed for the same reasons as Yahoo, but I have no problem with an account by logging in from Safari.

    When I go to "Edit" the two iC; Oud and Yahoo accounts/server settings and select "Edit SMTP servers list", there is nothing to select/list. If anyone has any ideas or solutions on how to operate the Mail it would be greatly appreciated.

    From what I understand, it's more about Yahoo is trying to force the use of its iOS applications and web portal rather than really relaxed security. I have no problem setting up a yahoo mail account after you make this change.

  • After that update cannot send or receive e-mails - no connection.

    Since the last update, one cannot send or receive e-mails. It's showing that Mozilla thunderbird connects, but it just freezes. When I close the window of thunderbird, it closes, but not the program itself, since I can only restart if I restart the computer. I uninstalled and reinstalled thunderbird, but no luck. E-mails operate very well through webbrowser. I use windows 7 sp 1.

    After reinstall Thunderbird, have you used the old profile or new profile.

    Check with your IMAP/POP3, SMTP settings and the PORT.

    Make sure that your firewall/Antivirus blocking is not Thunderbird.

    Open Keychain Access utility, use S.o.s. under Menu Keychain Keychain, and then either check the password on this point, change, or delete it and start over.

    You can have multiple entries.

    Open Keychain Access utility, enter the part after the sign @ in the search bar and press enter

    The rejection of password can confuse people because there's a catch its meaning...

    This password, username, authentication method is not recognized on this Port for this server, more than one entry in Keychain Access for each input, input/output or end of server problem.

    If you use a browser to connect via WebMail works, but not name or password, but that of others.

    Receiver e-mail ports are:

    IMAP is port 143

    IMAP-SSL is port 993

    POP is port 110

    POP - SSL is port 995

    The outbound ports are...

    SMTP and SMTP-SSL is on ports 25 and 587, 465. Port 587 should be SSL and port 465 is applied sheathed TLS and is generally used by Outlook users.

    Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

    It is one their recent. Worked well 4 days ago. for the last 3 days that I can go to Windows live (my e-mail account), I can connect, but that's all. When I click on my email, or any tab, tab nothing happens. I can go online with Windows Exployer and it works fine.

    At first glance, it seems that a few things wrong with the settings you have for a server outgoing (SMTP). I think that Westphalia broadband uses mail.4wbi.net as the incoming and outgoing mail server, not pop.4wbi.com (note mail instead of pop ) and .net instead of .com. These are the servers listed in this article:

    I'm not ensure that these settings are correct. Rather I suggest to find the page to set up your own mail server and use the parameters described in this.

    All updates Microsoft Vista (except Silverlight), are installed.

    I have Norton Antivirus 360, (to date).  I tried to disable Norton thinking he was causing a conflict, but it did not help.

    Windows Defender is DISABLED because it is in conflict with the Norton 360 antivirus.  I tried to run both, but they do not play well together.

    I have two email accounts set up under Windows Mail, sometimes the two accounts will work just fine and other times an account will work fine while the other

    fails to connect to the server.  It could be account, sometimes an account will receive/send just fine and the next time that it is unable to connect to the server

    This happens with both rceiving Windows Mail Port 25 and send Windows Mail Port 110.  Two of them are configured correctly according to the two windows

    Mail and HughesNet.  As I said, sometimes both work find while at other times one or both will get an error.

    Last week I had a lot of trouble to do just to the internet, web pages painted very slowly.  HughesNet this associated with too many users on the internet.

    I, under Windows Mail, ALL in sync, but still sometimes Windows Mail works for accounts and/or one or the other account.

    I hope someone can shed some light on this problem.

    There are important issues with Windows Mail and Norton (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3) that would be so my initial guess on the problem.

    But if the Hughes technical support said you that "there are too many users on the Internet" as an excuse for the problem, then I probably would think that you are experiencing intermittent dropouts in connectivity due to the provider you have.  If you can, I'd get a new supplier.

    You can also test using Webmail if you have that option, then you could exclude Winmail as being an issue, but with Norton and a flakey ISP, so it is difficult to tell who is the culprit, if not both.

    I use Windows Live Mail to read my email.  Today it stopped working with the following error:

    Can't send or receive messages for the Yahoo! Mail account. The connection to the server has failed.

    Port: 110
    Secure (SSL): No.

    It has worked very well.  Nothing has been changed or reconfigured by me even if I noticed that an update of Windows ran last night.

    Any suggestions to fix this?  I'll be happy to publish any necessary additional info.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Many issues of the site can be caused by corrupted cookies or cache. To try to solve these problems, the first step is to clear cookies and cache.
    Note: This will be you temporarily disconnect all sites, you're connected to.
    To clear the cache and cookies to do the following:

    1. Go to Firefox > history > clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is displayed) go to tools > clear recent history.
    2. Under "Time range to clear", select "all".
    3. Now, click the arrow next to details to toggle the active details list.
