E1200 bridge & have WiFi DHCP?

At my work we have Comcast Business Class, and our local network uses the Comcast SMC static 10' net speaking.  Our two POS are computers wall ports that connect to the SMC router (not sure the model number, it is screwed to the wall).  There is only 1 LAN port for each POS computer, I'm trying to setup a 3rd computer upward by POS stations for dedicated web search products, e-mails between HQ and other stores.

As I said our LAN using 10' net address and only a single port, I can use.  I would use the E1200 as a bridge/switch to connect: point of sale computer, network printer. and network printer, copier, scanner, FAX... and also have wifi available.  The POS & printers need to have their static 10' net IPs... but I want wifi to use DHCP of the E1200.

Is this possible?

Not sure if it will work, but you can try it.  Be sure to read all messages and links in this thread.  The methods described in this thread (s) are not 'official' procedures for Cisco.

You can use your phone's hotspot to connect your Apple TV, but you would not be able to use airplay to distribute other devices. You should also check with your operator on the terms of your plan, even if you have unlimited data, it will usually be strangled after a certain threshold, and they do not usually allow for this type of use.

    Hi @bemused59,

The message on the "Home" of the NETGEAR engineering page indicates that the device you are using does not have a wireless adapter, or you turn off / disabled. If you are using a laptop, it is possible that there a physical wireless switch that must be turned on and off. I recommend the manual for it.

  • Print where I don't have Wifi

I just bought a HP Officejet 6700 Premium All In One Printer. If I put this printer I don't have WiFi. I was hoping to be able to print simply by connecting the USB cable to my computer. This does not work well... I do something wrong or isn't it possible? I'm trying to print from my MacBook Air and MacBook Pro.

    Hello

Please run the CD that came with the printer. After the installation is complete, you would be able to print.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones have wifi but no IP address (Status: IP address is no longer valid)

    Dear experts,

I can connect my Pearl 9100 to my home Wi - Fi network, but I can't connect to the internet.  For example, when I run the browser, I get the message «Unable to connet to the Internet...» ».

I can see on my router that Pearl has been assigned an IP address DHCP vi (just as one would expect).

Of "manage connections / Options Wi - Fi profiles registered Wi - Fi to select my profile / tools WiFi / Wi - Fi Diagnostics ' I see that" Local IP address: "is empty and that"status: IP address is no longer valid"

I assume something is wrong on the bead, because it does not accept the TCP/IP configuration served to him by my server DHCP (my wireless router).

Someone at - it recommendations for helping me solve this problem?

Here are a few other details to consider:

All other wireless devices work on my home Wi - Fi network, including a Blackberry Bold 9780 running OS 6.

My Pearl 9100 has OS v.5.0.0.748.  This is an operating system updated Blackberry specific to my carrier (Bell), of the 5.0.0.604 OS, which came on the device.

I don't have a data plan on my Blackberry (you may think it strange, but well, it's the way I want it).  The Bold 9780 which has connected to my home Wi - Fi network has either a data plan.  The absence of a data plan should not be a problem because all I need an Internet connection for is the occasional use of the browser when a Wi - Fi connection is available for free.

Thank you in advance for any advice, tips or pointers.

Hey - I found the solution:

Options / Mobile Network / Data Services - change from 'OFF' to 'ON '.

I guess I was mistaken in thinking that "Data Services" should only be enabled if you have a data plan.

  • Why my new iPad and iPhone massively have wifi slowly when Bluetooth is turned on?

I tried to watch reboot etc until I found a post saying that the Bluetooth is originally the devices have a much slower connection. I turned Bluetooth and got 65 instead of the download speed of 11 gig. However, my watch Apple pencil and pebble being disabled, is very important to me, so it's not a viable option for me. What can I do? A fix is even planned? ! Running the latest iOS with all the patches etc in place. Tried to close everything and restart both devices and the router etc, but disable Bluetooth is so far the only thing that makes the difference. My old mini iPad and iPhone 6 were very good, but I traded them in

Hello. If you use a 2.4 GHz, instead of the most recent 5 GHz WiFi, Bluetooth uses the same frequency band and may interfere with it. Try to change to 5 GHz, ir your router supports.

  • I have wifi connection problems to my G5 iMac.

I recently got a G5 iMac. I put it on the floor about 10-15 feet of my modem/router. It's in another room, so I'm not able to use an Etherent cable. It has an Airport card, but I was unable to find my wifi. Do I need an Airport base station and if so this model/type?

Provide some additional details may be relevant to the problem.  There are several models of iMac G5.  Here is a list of all iMac models.  What model do you have?

    http://www.EveryMac.com/systems/Apple/iMac/index-iMac.html

Also, what version of Mac OS X turns?  You can select about this Mac from the Apple menu to get information about your system.

You do not need an Apple Airport access point.  But your router's wireless settings a difference.  For example, the last iMac G5 model (from 2005) has only 802.11b and g wireless, not of 802.11n (unless you use a third-party add-on).  Make sure your wireless router is not set to 802.11n only.

Like test, place the iMac that is close enough to your router so that you can connect using an Ethernet cable.  Do you have an Internet connection?  If so, select software update from the Apple menu to confirm that you are running the latest version of the system possible for your version of Mac OS X.  If there is an update, try the connection Wireless again after the update.

  • Satellite L650-14F - system does not have WiFi

    Hi all

I've seen a few topics about this, but I still can't solve my problems. I have brand new Toshiba Satellite L650 14th but I can't seem to use my WiFi.

The problem is that the system does not recognize, even in the Device Manager there is nothing. I downloaded the driver from the toshiba site, but when I run it nothing happens. I also tried the BIOS update and install the package of added value, but still nothing. Also, someone mentioned editing tool of Network Device ID registry settings, I downloaded that too, but when I run also nothing happens. I did a lot of research and could not find the solution or the driver work.
    Furthermore, I have windows 7 64 bit.

Any ideas? I really need wifi, my started classes two weeks ago and no internet at home, I can't do anything useful. Thank you.

    Hey Buddy,

If the system doesn't recognize the WLAN card, it seems to be disabled.

You should check the key combination FN + F8 which can enable/disable the WLAN connection.
In addition on some laptops you can toggle the wireless LAN in the BIOS.

    Check this box!

  • R6300 Bridge Mode Wifi settings

I have the settings wireless on my main R6300 router to be awakened at midnight every night. I plan on setting up my second R6300 in Bridge mode in another room connected via Lan to Lan. These are the two routers in R6300 version 1.

I'm sure I know the answer but want to make sure... I want the wireless signal to be awakened at midnight on my second router also.

My question is, do I have to do it manually in the settings of the router second or second router just an extension of the first, so turn off the signal at midnight wireless also?

    HaHa. My bad.

Yes, I will link two routers with an ethernet cable, which is a set up access point would be in Bridge Mode. Never realized that until you said it.

I go ahead and close this thread and put the second router in AP mode and manually disable the signal wireless at the time wherever I choose.

Another small issue however, Lan, Wan or Lan to Lan for installation in AP mode? I see pictures of Lan to Wan but have read where Lan to Lan is used.

    Thank you.

  • All 1300 wireless bridges have IOS sw?

    Hi all

I just wanted to know. The 1300s have IOS software on them.

    Thank you very much

    Hi Amanda,.

    The 1300 can work with IOS (stand-alone) or as a lightweight AP (LWAPP);

The Cisco Aironet 1300 series is available as part of the Cisco Unified Wireless network or as a stand-alone gateway or bridge. The Cisco Unified Wireless network is a complete solution that provides integrated wireless and wired network end-to-end. By using the features of radio and network for simplified deployment Cisco Unified Wireless network management, the Cisco Aironet 1300 series extends the security, scalability, reliability, ease of deployment and management available in the cable to the wireless LAN networks. Unified access points operate with the Lightweight of Point access (LWAPP) Protocol and work collaboratively with LAN wireless controllers (WCS) wireless control system and Cisco. When it is configured with LWAPP, the Cisco Aironet 1300 series can automatically detect the controller wireless LAN Cisco best-available and download appropriate policies and configuration without practical intervention information.

Autonomous access points are based on the Cisco IOS software and can possibly work with the CiscoWorks Wireless LAN Solution Engine (WLSE). Independent access, as well as the WLSE points, deliver a set of features and maybe putting field day to enjoy all the benefits of the Cisco Unified Wireless Network, as the needs evolve. As an autonomous access point or bridge, the Cisco Aironet 1300 series can be configured to operate as a wireless access point, bridge or bridge of the working group.

  • BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphone newbie help setting up please - have wifi but no browser, no internet, no email

I just bought this opportunity curve near new.  He seems to have been correctly data erased by the former owner.  I ran the Setup Wizard and everything worked fine.  It is connected to my wifi with a signal strong. But

    1. the browser says "unable to connect to the Internet - contact your service provider', and

    2. the email setup screen does not offer of "I want to create or add an email address" as in the Guide of the user - only 'I want to use a work email account' that I don't have and don't want!  The screen message indicates if the "add an email address' ' option does not, provider of wireless.

I don't understand!  If my TalkTalk broadband (wifi) to connect to my laptop to the internet without problem, what to do more I have too much to do to get on the internet (connected to the same wifi) Blackberry?

3 and how do I connect to the internet via the phone (Vodafone PAYG) when I'm not at the wifi range?

    Finally:

    4. why my phone says 'unknown number' when he is screaming? The User Guide says it should show my own number.  Surely, he knows that the Sim card number?

Completely out of my depth here, as you can see...

Many thanks in advance for any help

    Michael

Hiya, according to messages that your phone gives you... You will need to contact Vodafone.

In order to use most of the features of your phone as email or BBM data, you need a data plan blackberry rather than the generic of your provider.

Then call us Vodafone - I think that the BlackBerry Bolt On on the distribution is £ 5 per month with data inclusive.

  • No bridge with wifi

    Workstation 7.0.1

    Windows XP SP3 host

    Comments Windows 7

With the wifi on the host computer, bridged network allows only network connections, but not internet access.

NAT network allows at the same time, however, but I prefer bridged. What can we do?

    > What can we do?

You should be able to use bridged with wireless.

Run the virtual network editor and make sure the bridged (VMNet0) adapter is automatic and has your wireless and wireline, audited adapters in the automatic settings.

If so, uncheck one apply and check and apply the settings again for "GOOSE". It works for me the rare opportunity that the automatic configuration fails to pull an IP address from my router (WiFi and cable). I turn off Bluetooth and VirtualBox adapters in the automatic settings.

I run both wireless and cable into a laptop with XP and Server invited.

  • Airport utility does not have Wifi

Hello, I tried to set up an airport 1088 on el capitan with the usual pitcher, but when he invites me to select the wifi network selection menu is empty. Any tips?

What you're trying to do is not officially supported by Apple, so some hiccups are to be expected.

If the name of the wireless network to which the AirPort Express "will join" does not appear, on everything that you can do is try to type the name of the network, choose a type of wireless security (try WPA/WPA2 Personal) and manually type the wireless network password.

Another question may also be that a 9 + years, AirPort Express, that lists Apple as "Obsolète", still works properly... Since the average lifecycle of this version of the Express was about 3-4 years.

Another question would be to know if an Express which is able to connect only to a 802. 11B or 802. 11 g Wireless will be able to connect to the latest 802.11n or 802.11ac wireless network signal, which are common in these days.

  • Why don't I have to have wifi to download iMovie?

That said is 100 MB must be connected to wifi...

MY phone has 101 GB free... Why do I need WiFi to download?

The storage space available on your iPhone has nothing to do with the internet connection type specification.

You need Wifi, because cellular downloads are limited to a maximum of 100 MB per single file.  It is an obligation by the cellular carriers. No Apple.

For iMovie is a 647MB single file you cannot download on cell phone, it must be over Wifi.
