E2500 mobile, using computers, PS3, iPhone

I just upgraded my router because my old one broke. In my house, I connect a desktop to the router (wired) and a wifi from the iPhone. That's all. My laptop does not right now.

My neighbors use my wifi, which is fine with me, but I have them set up by the network of comments. They have 2 laptops, a PS3 and a couple of phones. It is my understanding that as a guest, they will not be able to use more band - I'm sorry that I'm trying to use the right terminology. Anyway, they want to set up a PS3. I read that they must do so through the main connection rather than the network of comments.

My question is how is she going to be draining my internet? I was hoping by putting him on the network of comments I could reduce that. Do I need a router that is better than this one? Last night, she was on the main connection playing the PS3 and I couldn't even upload a video on my desktop.

I can clarify what makes no sense. I have AT & T. It shows always 100 Mbps. just need some advice.

Thank you!

When he shows the speed of 100 Mbps connection, it is normal if you are connected to the router with an Ethernet cable, which I assume you are.

If I were in your shoes, I would give AT & T phone number so that they can get their own DSL line. . But it's very generous of you.

But if you want to allow them to continue to use your DSL...

What you can do is make them spit out $34.00 plus tax for a refurb E2500. Then the second E2500 to your E2500 LAN to WAN cascade and give the second E2500 one IP 192.168.5.1. Disable the network invited on your router. And use security wireless to your router so that they cannot access. And it will just be able to access to their router (not yours).

Whenever you want to use the Internet, you can simply unplug the router, so this does not affect your speed. They should not complain too much, because I pay $43.00 more tax every month for the same service you have. If the cost of the refurb E2500 doesn't cover even a month of extreme quick access.

Also, make sure that they will not go over your limit AT & T GB/month. Looks like it is 100 or 150 GB/month.

But who knows what they are doing, they might be streaming hd Netflix and torrent running 24/7. Who could take me to my original suggestion to give them an AT & T phone number so that they can purchase their own DSL services. You don't know that many people spread their PS3 HD video? good? That would certainly be monopolizing many of your speed.
