• Genuine key of Windows 7 but disc "wrong". Valid but cannot install updates!

  I clicked on "Update Now" and it hangs just forever.

  I tried all the usual methods to make it work, but it's as if the key is valid and invalid, the only thing that downloads is the KB2534111 fix. I can manually install updates, but nothing will download from the center of update of Microsoft and nothing will be installed.

  Is there a simple solution? I'm currently waiting (and waiting and waiting) for an answer from Asus to see if there is a Windows 7 disk to my laptop (Asus X53Z). My suspicion is that the product key was validated somehow offline but not online. It's just, I can't say.

  Click Start-> type-> right click cmd.exe and click Run as administrator.

  Then, run the following commands:

  net stop wuauserv

  Ren c:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution softwaredistribution.old

• Satellite A300-1MC - I have bad discs?

  I recently bought the upgrade to Windows 7, which has just arrived.

  I'm a little confused about your Mr. ad if I understand you correctly Yes your problem is just that you can t find your model (A300-1MC) on the upgrade disc.
  Is this correct?

  If yes I can only say from my own experience that you should look for the model number. AFAIK A300-1MC belongs to the series of PSAG8E and you will get this model.

  I try to install Oracle RAC 11 g 2 on 2 machines OEL5 with VM disks shared as a shared disc ASM storage.

  I am faced with getting the following error when running root.sh on the second node.

  Create DiskGroup CRS failed with the following message is displayed:

  ORA-15018: diskgroup cannot be created.

  ORA-15017: diskgroup "CRS" can not be mounted.

  ORA-15003: diskgroup "CRS" already mounted in a different namespace locking

  Configuration of ASM failed, read newspapers files for more details

  Succssfully not configure and start ASM

  CRS-2500: Can not stop resource 'ora.crsd' as it is not executed

  CRS-4000: Stop command failed, or completed with errors.

  I run root.sh on the second node only after finished on the first node.

  In terms of VMware configuration, I've marked the disk.locking = "FALSE".

  It is obvious that the diskgroup CRS would be already mounted by the first node. DiskGroup "CRS" already mounted in a different namespace locking

  There is a that lock_name_space initialization parameter related to this, but that should be resolved by the YES itself the installation of clusterware/asm.

  You can implement MSCS with local storage and shared storage.  If you have only local storage, you'll look by using what is called a Cluster in a box (CIB).  IPC protects against failures to the level of the application or operating system.  Because the virtual machines used in an IPC are on the same physical host, you are not protected against failures of hardware ESXi host.  Otherwise, with a shared storage, you can have a Cluster in boxes (ACR).  A CAB will protect against software and hardware failure because each VM resides on different physical host computers.   I am fairly new to clustering, but I would like to create a Cluster AD in ESXi with Windows Server 2000 Advanced. I already have a shared disc on the AD servers, but when I run the clustering configuration, it keeps telling me that it cannot the disks on the shared SCSI Bus that meet the criteria for grouping. What I am doing wrong? I tried to use it as a dynamic disk as a basic disk with no luck. The disc, I created to use a Peristant independent disc, and is a thick disk, and the disks on that my installs server is. I use Virtual Bus of Buslogic SCSI sharing. Help, please!

• Time Machine backup fails

  We have a time Machine that is inadmissible for automatic backups. I use a MacBook Pro (2012, 16 GB RAM, 500 GB SATA drive) with OS X El Capitan v. 10.11.5. The backup of a now-dead Mac is also on the Time Capsule.

  I get a: "/ Volumes/data/users of MacBook Pro.sparsebundle ' could not be found (error (null)). "error saving is attempted.

  Suggest that you first run an audit of your backups... to check that they are not corrupt. To do this...

  I had problems with copying the files to a shared disc on Tiger G4 with the Mavericks.  Not infrequently, the copy process hangs in the middle.  I know how to force quit Finder, but this then reverts all of my windows to a previous state that follows re-opening, re - organize, etc..  Finder is always sensitive, it's just the copy window stays there. I tried the little 'x' to stop copying, but it just hangs there to 'stop... '. "Is it possible to identify the process in activity Analyzer who made the copy and leave this process?  Apparently, this was a good question in many versions of Mac OS x (including stop copy essentially do nothing), but I can't find an answer.  Still, the rest of the Finder seems to work fine, so it seems to be a sub procedure that hangs.  I'm not afraid of the Terminal if that's what it takes.

  March 25, no responses.  The problem of the copy was due to files corrupt on the G4 (the player starts to get bad sectors), but I guess that once sent a copy command that it disappears really in the base of the computer and can not be stopped unless it eventually times out or something.

  I would like to ask how can I return my drive of Fusion (fusion HDD and SSD) together. I was installing Windows 10 and then the facility it crashed and I wasn't able to boot in Windows or OS X. I also lost the recovery partition, so I'll install with recovery of the internet or with my OS X installed on my external HARD drive. Thanks for any advice. • Explorer Windows in Windows 7 change suddenly last updated Date of the files attribute

  I'm moving from XP Pro to Win 7 of last month during this process, I came across a disturbing behavior in Windows Explorer in Windows 7.

  In Windows 7 (and I hear Vista as well) Windows Explorer will sometimes change the file Date changed when slide it / file to a new location.  I spent hours researching this issue.  In some discussions, some participants said it is a reasonable thing, since copying a folder with files creates a new folder and new files, so a new modified Date is guaranteed.  I can understand that as a basis to change the creation Date.  This was the behavior under XP and I think that NT as well.  However, changing the Date of change is a fundamental departure from how the system of files are featured in the past, and it is also a serious departure from good sense.  At the very least, it will make it impossible to find or organize files by date of update, since the original modification Date (date the actual content of the file may have been modified) is lost.  It also seriously decreases the possibility of finding files duplicated by this attribute when simply copy a file it modifies.

  Change the folder view options can prevent this behavior (Options: view folders: check always show icons, never thumbnails).  In addition, edit a file to read-only will also stop this change of Date of modification.  However, none of these options provide a viable solution to this problem.  All first, change the option to display file then prevents look a thumbnails of the image files.  Change once the copy of file causes the copied files to change Date change date created.  The same is true for the readonly attribute (removing it causes the modification Date change), not mention that it is often impractical to effectively apply this strategy.

  I also note that this behavior is not consistent in all areas.  Files copied from a shared disc on a PC network do not seem to this behavior.  But, files and folders transferred by using Dropbox (www.dropbox.com) show the unwanted behavior.  Worse still, the behaviour was not consistent within the folder.  I transferred a file with the 2007 via Dropbox eml files.  In most tests, once the folder has been moved and dropped on the Win 7 machine (whether copied or moved) the Date of editing files has been changed to take account of the date and time that they were dropped.  However, in one case, two of the files has not changed the Date of change.  By clicking on the file or even open it to read has not made a difference.  The modification Date remained unchanged.  I don't really know why this was the case in this instance, given that these same files has been modified Date change in previous experiences.

  Frankly, I'm puzzled and dismayed that this did not become a more important issue.  Do not have a lot of imagination to see how this problem might affect users old files of e-mail to archiving as LME and anyone copy older files, who later need to search or sort them by the Date of change.  There are solutions that I know, as the compression of the files before any copy or use Robocopy with the appropriate options, but they are much less practical as drag - drop.  Furthermore, drag and drop is now so embedded in users what their likely natural choice for file copy or move.  Once the modification Date is lost, it cannot be found without a restore of backup files - once again, an unrealistic option and a lot of time.

  I think it is a serious problem that needs to be processed quickly by Microsoft.  Good design keeps logical and mitigates the factors that can lead to human error.  The above behavior fails both these needs.  Anyone found a solution for this (maybe change registry) or to know if and when Microsoft plans to approach this?

  I've just dealt with the same problem when copying all the contents of my hard drive and found an impressive (and without :-)) Microsoft Utility called RichCopy which solves this problem and makes it much easier to copy a large number of files/folders :-))

  Better than backups, invest the time to learn how to use Git or Mercurial and Park your code in the cloud, with all revisions stored forever... No developer worthy of its name does not have a good system of control, and move like a Flash to the top of your development tree complete with the date in the file name is not a good substitute.

  On the side to decompile, fortunately for the pirates the decompilers can be good enough. Do some googling, you can end up spending $70 or so but clearly it will be worth it for you.

  On my old PC I use to have a shared disc on a remote support windows Center which I could map a network drive to a share using a user account defined local to the Media Center.

  I set up a virtual from Windows 7 on Fusion 4 computer and it seems to be running OK, i.e. can run applications and access the internet.

  However, I can not ping-access the correct Media Center by using the user account-profile.

  By default, VMware Fusion sets the prompt to NAT virtual network adapter and you must set it to Bridged so the virtual machine is on the same subnet as the system you are trying to map a shared resource.

  FireWire. Nothing else really which is pretty cheap for a "budget home" and always meets the needs of Basic for a RAC storage. You can pick up 1 TB and more big disk Firewire 800 external, with 2 ports - allows to connect two machines on the external drive at the same time.

  It is "sort of" supported by Oracle off-production - or has been in the past.

  Not sure if Solaris kernel Firewire driver required to support this well - only made on Linux myself.

  PCI FireWire cards if you have not already shipped Firewire 800 ports on these 2 systems.
