  Although advanced server 2000 is not supported, we need to access the remote server for about 6 months until we do the transition...  We are a very small medical office and if we cannot access the server remotely, we are in big trouble! Our doctor S/W is old and is no longer sold or taken in charge by the seller.  We were told that it would not go on the latest server software that is available.

  Is it possible to temporarily reactivate (period 6 months) the license for Terminal Server services?  I thought we had a permanent license and have never seen this message before. My guess it is initially set to expire at that time.

  Is there something we can do?  Registry editing? Y at - it another software that we could use instead of the Terminal services Server to temporarily access the Advanced server 2000 remotely, once the Terminal Server services license expires? Can we buy a license 'enewal"for a period of 6 months/1 year until we have to transition?

  I hope someone can help us, any help is greatly appreciated!

• vCenter with Server Clustering with failover Windows - cannot lock the file

  I am currently working on a MSCS cluster to vCenter. As described in the "VMware vCenter Server 6.0 availability Guide", it should be possible to add RDM disks for two virtual machines.

  If I try to start the second vCenter VM, it throws the error "Could not lock file". For me this message looks like right because the first VM has a lock on the RDM disks. But for clustering, I need two VMS to be connected to the RDM.

  Is there something that I missed?

  You are using a SCSI controller dedicated just for the RDM disks and with the bus sharing configured for physical on both nodes? If this is not the case, see page 18.

• Need to expand space on a 2000 VM Server

  Hello, I have not had to do so within a certain time.  I have a client that is running 2 servers Vmware ESXi 3.5 Update 4.

  They need to expand space on one of there old 2000 Server VM.

  Ive used vmware converter in the past but have not used it in about 2 or 3 years so im having trouble the memory of things.

  Such as vmware converter will work with a 2000 Server vm or is it old?

  The idea would be to convert the vm Server 2000 and in the process, expand the D drive and with more space.  I have a lot of space in my vmware storage.

  But I do not remember, the converter process doesn't do any sort of sysprep on it?  im not sure if they have any old product keys for this.

  Thanks Weinstein5, I could not choose this method that the disc is not dynamic, but he point me in the right direction.  I was able to download microsoft diskpart, it allowed me to extend the virtual machine without using vmware converter.

  In this context, 'Windows 2000' also means good Workstation and Server. We did (with a Windows 2000 Server) with Converter 4.0.1 a few days ago.

  I wanted to set up 2 servers run on different PCs for clustering. For this purpose first I created 2 managed servers on my test domain that is on my PC1. Tested my ADF applications for each managed server (srv1 and srv2) on PC1. They spent.   After errors on srv2, I removed the library targets srv2 using the screen of deployments of the administration console.

  are you sure that *"E:\Oracle\Middleware\oracle_common\modules\oracle.adf.model_11.1.1\adf.oracle.domain.ear"* exists in the same location in * "srv2" * physical box as well?
  The Installation of WebLogic directory and the directory of the domain must be exactly the same to avoid similar problems.

• randomly created 31/12/2000 2003 server file

  A random file is created and then removed in a server environment 2003 with a timestamp of 31/12/00 18:00.  Only, there are for a short period of time and disappeared before I have a chance to see what type of file it is.  However, it lasts long enough to trigger an alert that there is an old file.  All the world has already lived this kind of random behavior?  A couple of things:

  (1) it does not appear in the same folder

  (2) it happens at random times throughout the day, day of the week makes no difference

  (3) the timestamp of this file is always the same

  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

  I want to upgrade to Fusion 5.0.3 to 6.0.2, I won't be upgrading of Cougar to the Mavericks, but see in the list of the guests taken support that Windows 2000 and is no longer supported. I have a legacy program that does not work under Windows XP or higher, I have to use Windows 2000. Someone at - it Windows 2000 to work under Fusion 6? In so any specific instruction?

  If I'm walking thorough the Wizard New Virtual Machine in VMware Fusion 6.x, under Microsoft Windows, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2000 Advanced Server are still listed and a Virtual Machine of them can be created.  Now they could no longer be officially supported (and really, why should they since even Microsoft can't stand them!) anyway you can install.

  BTW, I have a Windows 2000 Server virtual computer which works very well under VMware Fusion 6.x.
