EA4500 of installation support

Currently, I have a Netgear router installed. Just bought the EA4500. Came with a CD, so I unplugged the existing router, brought the CD and started to follow along. Installed the modem cable, installed the cable from the computer and turned on 4500. He first tries to find an available wifi network, but it can not, of course, because I unplugged my old router. He then tries to find the computer that is connected using the ethernet cable, but it comes back with a message that I do not seem to have a connected computer. I tried several times, even reconnected the cables, but not luck.

I simply moved the cables of the 4500 to the Netgear, and everything went well in moments. So, I proved that the cable between the modem and the router is OK, and even with the cable to the computer. (If they work with the Netgear, they should work with the Linksys?) It seems to be caught in a loop: I tried a chat session with the support of Linksys, but without the Linksys connected, they really couldn't troubleshoot it online - and of course, when I move the cables to the Linksys, it's the end of the chat session. If nobody can offer a help here, I guess I'll try phone support.

But does anyone have an idea. Is 4500 dead out of the box? LED display seems to be OK on Linksys when I plug the cable, have only one Internet Yellow (cable modem) port to try, but I tried to connect all ports in blue, with the same result. Over the years, I have install all other routers (including a Linksys) and never had a problem.

FYI, my current router is connected to the desktop using an ethernet cable, and I have a wireless connection to 3 separate Roku boxes for streaming video, my wife and I have a tablet that connect us via wifi. Any help would be appreciated, I must be missing something somewhere?

Chris, thanks for your response. I have tried to configure using configuration Smart yesterday, for example, all did not speak because I got the same result. Did some reading and watching videos YouTube last night and found a couple of common themes: temporarily disable the Windows Firewall and then tell the setup to complete (even without recognizing the Internet access), and then configure the router off line and go from there.

I tried this morning and while I had a few "bumps in the road" for more, I am proud to say that I now have an EA4500 which is fully configured and working, I've linked it to all devices I want (Roku, tablets, Kindle), created my Linksyssmartwifi login and password, and I fly high!

    I recommend that you try and that you use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (WICU).

    1. go in:

    2. download the utility and install it
    3 run the utility from START > all programs > Windows Installer Cleanup...

    4. find the program you want to uninstall, then remove the
    5. next, restart your computer

  • Hi, upgrade installation support needed

    I bought an upgrade to adobe Illustrator. I have cs4. Instead of informing me of my mistake when I had trouble to install the first time (since I have no previous version), the support just made for me. Unfortunately its an old version and tech support is no longer available. I can't install it again because its an upgrade and I have no previous version. But technical support helped me once, perhaps this forum can help me once again. What lays in the balance is the 600 dollars I paid. Help, please! How can I install with no previous version upgrade? (and why not support tell me my error of purchase when I could still returned the product! jeeze).

    No one here has the ability to override the tne installation requirements.  If you can't get Adobe support for help then it is probably not that you can do.  Your best chances are to convince a support person to help you... hopefuklly you registered the product as it is in your account history.

    I just installed a VESA support for my late 2009 iMac 27 inches and now the computer is dead.   I have a feeling that when inserting credit card to release the latch to expose the s standing iMac live can I have rigged thing upwards.  I had it jiggle around a bunch.  It is the first time I ever did this.

    Does anyone know if my suspicion is credible?  I thought as I did 'sounds weird, probably steal a card in this slot can damage things "...

    I don't know what to do.  It is quite old, but it was still in daily use.  I hesitate to open it because I know it's quite tedious (I installed a new hard drive last year and has vowed that it would be the last time I did)

    We have no way to be able to say, when you say that it is dead do you mean the computer doesn't make any noise at all and there is no power indication is to learn it?   • Satellite A110 installs recovery disk but HARD DRIVE not displayed

    Hi guys,.

    After searching the net, I finally found a forum in which I hope you can help me.
    I tried to search this forum for an answer but couldn't find him.

    I have a toshiba satellite a110-159, who, after a setback, did not start.
    CHKDSK discovered many problems when I plugged the hard drive to another pc, but the laptop could not even boot from the disc.

    Anyway, I copied the most important data and back up the disk in the laptop. with product recovery center of disks that I was able to reinstall windows xp installation support, but after the first reboot, the laptopt did not find the hard drive, it is not displayed in the bios.

    strange, although the recovery disks installed... anyone know how REList the hard drive in the bios? It has been listed here before reinstalling windows xp mc...:(donc c'est comme il a fait quelque chose avec le bios ou presque.)

    hope you guys know what is the problem with this one.

    the drive is accessible when it is placed in another system of system or desktop with converter and copy and works very well.

    You are lucky that your laptop still works...

    I would not recommend doing so. If you want to set the BIOS to factory settings then set the defaults in the BIOS settings.

  • HP PhotoSmart Prem 310 Series: Installation on PC Windows 8.1 HP solutions Center

    My printer is a model 310 that I bought in 2011.  The DVD accompanying installation supports Windows XP, Vista and 7.  The version number of the DVD is 14.4.0 and I used it to try and install "HP Solution Center" on my new PC for Windows 8.1.  What I get is a picture of a building with a few plants in a pot by the door and and a sign in front of the building that says "close this application".  On the left are the words "select install to begin the installation of your new HP device."  The problem would then be is that there is no click a button "install".  The only button I can click is 'out' and it then closes the installation.  I think I need a Setup DVD update sent to me or instructions on where I can download the installation of HP for Windows 8.1 solutions Center.  I don't have a problem with printing because my PC, the printer has detected and installed the drivers from printert.

    Of you can still have problems, download and install the software from the following link:

    Before installing the drivers do not forget to open the control panel > devices and printers.

    Right-click any existing C310 icon, and then select Remove an instrument.

    Once that icon removed turn the printer off, only turn on once the installation request to connect.

  • Windows Installer pop ups

    Whenever I turn on my computer, a pop-up Windows Installer support for my HP Officejet 6100.  I guess it's loading the drivers for my printer every time that the computer starts.  Is there something in msconfig or elsewhere that I can change to prevent this?

    Unplug the printer, uninstall the software and the HP drivers, reboot, download/install the latest drivers from software on HP site

    PS the usual method to install the software and connect only the installation tells you

    Some hardware supports Win7 installation supports win7.

    The question is whether your material, these unknown machines are compatible win7.

    Usually if you have a desktop computer without serial ports, the option preferred is to use a card series pci as usb/serial converters can be problomatic.

    Mikey_it know that CS4 products download installers are for retail licenses.  If you deploy software, then it is likely that you have a volume license.  In this case, you want to download the https://licensing.adobe.com/volume license installation files.
