• Get the "Access denied" error when you try to play all video files in another folder on my external hard drive.

  For example: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Version 2002, Service Pack 3

  You can check what is the format of your hard drive is:

  ·         Right click on Local disk (c) (or letter that contains your operating system)

  ·         Click on Properties

  ·         On the general tab, next to file system: you will see the format of your hard drive (Fat32 or NTFS)

  Hello, I just got a new external hard drive. I put a bunch of video files and music to share with my xbox 360. I use windows media player to make the media sharing. I got no problem with it for my regular hard drive in my computer. The first time I plugged my external hard drive to my computer and transferred the files added to the library, it worked fine and the xbox it would be. But after that I restarted my computer, my xbox can't see my external hard drive. I gave her a permanent using MMC drive letter and drive management.   This problem has been resolved.

  You can use a backup tool that updates only modified files.  You don't say what kind of computer you use.

  ITunes is actively using media on the external hard drive so you can replace it. Simply copy the media to one other player does not have iTunes it use it.  iTunes is probably still using media to your internal drive.

  Select the drive in the disk, then Edit/restore utility and select your 2 TB drive in restoration since. This will probably reformat the external hard drive, erase all data.

  I don't know what you mean by that last statement.  Are you referring to export photos from your library to the EHD? Or are you referring to place your library on the EHD and its use here? The export window to select any location you want to save to.  By default, it opens to the desktop on the startup disk. But you can select any volume which is mounted by clicking it in the sidebar of the export window:

  Font book handles only the fonts that are present in one of the folders of fonts on the startup disk. It can disable these fonts, but it won't work as a custodian of the fonts installed also. I would have suggested using a symbolic link to the folder fonts on the external drive to ~/Library/Fonts, but apparently that no longer works: allow to use symlinks in ~/Library/Fonts
