Satellite U400-14 b turns off and now it won't start

Hello

just got a new Satellite U400 this week.
Worked perfectly the first days, and then last night, it just turns off and now it won't start.

I press the button and the row of lights beside him light up, but nothing happens that I n t even get as much as the Toshiba screen.
I tried a lot of things. I left it plugged in all night, tried to take the battery and any results now.

Little led lights on the bottom indicates that it is his stuffy, battery is white not orange when you press they light up only for a fraction of a second.

The only thing I can compare it is too when a car won t start and you keep turning and turning the key, well in that case, pushing a button, and nothing happens, fans don t whir or anything...

help please...

Additional memory (RAM) has been installed? Try to remove a memory Module and try another memory location.

If bad memory is not the problem, then there is not much else you can do except send it to an ASP for warranty repairs.

This can make things more difficult depending on the current state of the virtual machine.

What you should do at this point - unless already done--is to backup/copy of files of all VM to ensure that you have a way to go back if things don't work as expected. The next step is to find out if it is possible to free up space on the D: drive, so that the virtual machine does not have to be moved (move the files could be unnecessary snapshots). If there is enough free space on the disk, use the file attached configuration (.vmx) to replace the damaged one. Ensure that VMware Workstation or at least tab of the virtual machine is closed when you do this to ensure that the replaced .vmx file is reread. If things work with the replaced files, consider deleting snapshots that you no longer need. This will not release disk space only, but can also improve the performance of the virtual machine.

TV off last night and gave a warning of the temperature.  I turn it off, put a fan behind it, but it still blinks six times then 2 second pause followed by six flashes and pause.  I did that for about 18 hours now.

  • Satellite L350D - 12 M - BSOD and now it won't start up

    Hi all

I use my Satellite L350D almost everyday with no problems (it is around the age of 18 months). I left it over the weekend and when I got home I started it upwards and once everything was loaded I got the dreaded blue screen of death. I restarted my computer, but it is simply a noise whirring while the screen is off. I tried to leave message to see if the screen lights up, but apparently not.

When I started it again after leaving it from one day to the next I got to a screen where it says I pourrais either press F2 or F12 (I think), but the keyboard was not record the fact that I was pushing the keys.

    Any thoughts?

    Hello

Just a simple question: have you tried an external monitor on the laptop? Maybe the display internal doesn t work properly.
    Check this box!

However, in your case, I will try to remove the battery and the AC adapter. Wait an hour and then reconnect the two devices. Now, you should try to restart the laptop.

In the worst case, it s a hardware problem and you need professional help :(authorized service provider

  • Ramdomly PC turns off and restarts. Won't do in Mode without failure.

    Hello. FO; lks!

I saw similar posts, but nothing exactly like this one.

My PC randonly shut dow and start times ranging from 1 minute to 20-30 minutes. The frequency seems to be getting shorter. The PC will apparently still be Mode without failure.

I tried to remove recently installed software and do a system restore.

When I originally started to have this problem, I am running Vista Ultimate. After trying my limited number of tricks, I took the device to the local computer repair company. At first, they thought it was a problem of overheating but memory, power and MoBo all checked. When I told them to let it run a few days in safe mode, they said it should be the software, so they upgraded me to to Windows 7. This does not solve the problem.

By reading this forum, I saw the mention of the verification of the file running. I did and all I get now is BSOD.

My system is: 2.67ghz i7 processor of Intell, ASUS MoBo, 6 GB of RAM and a 1 TB hard drive and a DVD burner.

I copied some of the most recent event logs to Word.

    Any help appreciated.

    Hello

Could be heat related - try using a small fan to blow into the air intakes to see if that helps.
Clean the dustbunnies by ports. It works better in Mode safe mode because the system
is not as pointed, especially the video. Therefore, the system is probably overheating or heat
the sensors are too sensitive, or both.

To be able to remove ALL and reinstall all the cables (both ends), card and memory - in fact remove and
replace - do not just tight. (Of course these are for a PC and not a laptop).

This sounds like material so if the above does not help you then probably need the help of a
real computer store (not of leeks and glances at a Best Buy or other department stores) or the system
    Support from the manufacturer.

    any help apreciated

    Hello, Heidi

Remove the battery, connect your laptop adapter only and try starting your laptop running. When the laptop boot and OS is fully loaded, wait a few minutes and reinsert the battery.

If everything is OK look carefully if the battery will be charged correctly and when battery LED is green (fully charged battery) try to turn off your laptop as usual. Turn it back on and carefully monitor what is happening exactly.

Any ideas if it can be fixed or if it's as I read elsewhere dead now?

He died... the fact that the main witness turns off is unusual in this model.

It is common to the next... A1409 (gen4)

What happens in the Gen3 is normally a few deaths on the Board... or a bunch of capacitors is low...

    See s/apple-time-capsule-repair/new-issue-with-a1355-gen-3-tc https://sites.google.com/site/lapastenague/a-deconstruction-of-routers-and-modem

If yours is a very fine introduces Gen3 just before Gen 4, it is possible that the same fix on the Gen 4 could work.

    s/Apple-time-capsule-repair/GEN4-a1409-issues https://sites.google.com/site/lapastenague/a-deconstruction-of-routers-and-modem

I found early Gen4 may fail as Gen3 but must admit that I am yet to see the Gen3 with welding problems.

I doubt repair is worth it. The Gen3 is now about 6 years... give or take... This is way beyond the standard lifetime of a TC.

If you want to play, I'm happy to help you... but I would not spend money on it.

    > the battery will discharge when the PC is turned off and unplugged.
    How to understand this?
Does it means 24 hours battery is completely discharged or what?

Battery loses power when the laptop is turned OFF and unplugged and there is nothing unusual.
Enter the BIOS settings and disable Wake up on LAN.

After doing this watch carefully what will happen and let us know if the battery will discharge both than before.

If you allowed anyone remote access to your computer (and you're talking about a computer since you mentioned iOS which is the OS for iDevices; computers run on Mac OS X), while no one knows what they were able to install. Assume the worst and:

Notify your credit card company / bank of potential fraud

Change your bank accounts and report your fly/fraud credit card

    Change all of your passwords

And, finally, erase your entire hard drive and reinstall the OS from scratch using recovery or your original installation disks.

  • Satellite A200-1FL randomly turns off

    Hello

I have the problem that after I moved from the Spain to the Thailand now my Toshiba Satellite A200-1FL randomly turns off.
This only seems to happen when it is connected with AC - with battery I have it is not happened again although I can't rule out it.

After some time of work (sometimes only 10 minutes, sometimes up to 2 hours) the laptop just shuts off-as if I would unplug the unit without the battery inserted. It is certainly not an overheating problem because the CPU is at 55º c most of the time (a year before the cpu fan was dirty and he has sometimes increased to 90º - but which caused no stops).

I don't know about electricity here in Thailand - but it seems 220V and they do not use the Earth (at least at the point where I am).
I use the original Toshiba AC adapter.

What could be the problem here - is there any solution or the solution to this problem?

    Thanks for any help,
    vitaminx

    Hey,.

As stone I n not know electricity of the Spain and Thailand, but if you have only this problem with the AC adapter / CC, there are a few differences between the Spain and the Thailand.

In your case, I will ask the local authorized maintainer in Thailand. For example just give them a call and ask a technician for help. I'm pretty sure, they can give you an answer if you need a new power supply or another outlet.

    Good luck! :)

    Hello

Well, of course, it could be an overheating problem. If the temperature drops to the critical limit for the operating system stops the unit. It is a thermal protection of the portable Toshiba.
Well, the overheating problem is a very serious problem. I recommend to check for dust cooling fans. Try to clean it with the vacuum cleaner.
