East-creation / removal of instant network connection causes slow VM?

Hello

We find that when we create / remove the snapshot for virtual machines, the network connectivity for VMS is much degraded.

We would like to just know is there a relationship between the snapshot and underlying network connectivity?

Your opinion is requested.

Ideally it will not create any problem at the end of network. However its depends on the configuration of your network as Vswitch if you use the same vswitch to prod & save then it might be to create some slowness...

What is the size of the virtual machines?

  • Vista Home premium - cannot remove a network connection.

    Hello

Follow the steps below to remove the old network connections on a Windows vista computer.

    (1) use your mouse to click on the start menu, and then select Control Panel.

    2) click the button on "Network and Internet" Control Panel and select network and sharing Center.

    3) click on the tab "manage network connections".

    (4) find the old network connections you want to remove in the scroll bar. According to the number of connections you currently have in Windows Vista, it is possible that you need to scroll a bit to find the one you want to delete.

    5) click on the old connection you want to remove.

    6) click on the button 'delete '.

    (7) to confirm your selection by pressing 'Yes' when asked if you are sure you want to remove the connection. You can also choose to press 'Cancel' or 'No' to return to the previous screen and prohibit the removal of the connection.

    (8) notes that you can also change the network through the Network Wizard. Simply click on start, then "Connect To" and "show all connections".

    (9) select the network connection you want to change by clicking right on it and selecting the option you want. You can choose 'Disable' the connection, which would roughly have the same effect that completely removing, making it inactive.

    (10) press the button 'Delete' after clicking on a network connection in the network connection window. This will completely remove the connection in the same way that detached from the control panel.

Recently, I installed a trial version of Tune Up Utilities 2009. During one of the scans/tune-ups, he gave me the option to display the Administrative Tools, network connections, printers & Fax and Scanners & cameras icons on my desktop. I checked ok, however, now, I think it's too crowded in my office and you want to remove them... right on the desktop, not everywhere else they are located. I tried everything I know to remove them without success. Anyone knows where is the menu option to display on the desktop so I can uncheck or choose Delete? I don't want to have to change all the .ini files or .bat to because I'm afraid I don't do it correctly and create other problems.

  • How can I manually remove a network adapter wireless, hidden and corrupt "Network connections" in Windows 7?

I need to locate and remove a network hidden in Windows 7 device manually.  The device is called "Wireless network connection" but does not appear in network connections.  The reason why I know that its there is when I try to rename "Wireless Network Connection 2" to "Wireless network connection" I get an error that the connection already exists, even if the device has been uninstalled and is not listed.  I have to remove this connection because it is completely corrupt and preventing any wireless with a red X in the system tray.  The adapter works fine on another machine.  I tried showing hidden devices in device but Manager that has not worked.

Open a command line window and type the following two lines:

    Set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices = 1
    Start devmgmt.msc

In this special Device Manager window. in the menu, click view and then Show hidden devices

Unwanted devices will appear dimmed. You right-click on them from there and uninstall them.

Then return to your network center and rename your adapters for what you want without the sign #.

  • Install unsigned driver caused network connectivity problem

Original title: problem with deterministic network improve miniport - unsigned driver

We recently bought a new laptop of Lenovo Edge E540.  When we installed our software Client Cisco it installs a driver Miniport of Deterministic Network Enhancer for each of the adapters.  These drivers are not signed, and it blocks my network connection.  We have laptops Lenovo E540 since a previous order and it didn't happen.  Is there a way I can remove the miniport driver and/or to allow the drivers can be installed not signed?

    Hello

If the driver is not signed it means that this driver is also not have a digital signature, or it has been signed with a digital signature that is not verified by a certification authority. Therefore, we do not recommend installing unsigned drivers as this is a security feature that makes it much more difficult for average users to install malicious hardware drivers on their systems. You must install this driver if you obtained this disc from the manufacturer of origin or from your system administrator.

Is the computer on the domain?

To uninstall the unsigned driver, you can see the steps mentioned below.
    1. press Windows + R, type devmgmt.msc, and then click ok.
    2. now look for and right-click on the driver and click on uninstall.

    3. restart the computer.

  • When a leg of the network resumes connectivity, causing expired host ping...

We have vSwitch0 configured with two groups of ports:

    VMotion and network management

There are two natachasery (vmnic0 & vmnic1) associated with vSwitch0 and the setting for the collection of network adapters is all the default settings.

    (Active - Active/vmnic1 - vmnic0) / load balancing - based on the port

    The problem:

I have the continuous Ping ping to the host.

If I DISCONNECT one cable network of the physical network adapter, I see may be 1 or 2 drops of the ping, b/c the other Teddy resumes the connection so no problems here.

but if I BRANCH this cable back into network, after 2 or 3 seconds, I'll see about 7-request-expired for the ping, then again after the ping.

It's about 21 seconds and it's long enough to trigger a host isolation (?)

I understand that I can go to HA Advanced Options to change the das.failureInterval to a larger value,

but my question is why, when connectivity resumes, this would cause long delays for the host to become to pings...

is - this delay normal behavior?

I tried to set nic teaming RESTORATION no, but that doesn't seem to help...

    the cluster I have is a two node esxi 4.0u1 w / vCenter 4.0u1

    Thank you
