Easy Connect or remote work support

Is there a way to make this feature work? Current routers support same Easy Connect? I tried three routers - Linksys WRT54GS v6; D - Link DIR615 revC (new); D - Link (new) DIR628 - get always a failure to connect to bla peer name, blah, blah. I'm short on money and time running routers purchases. Even through Messenger Remote Assistance fails systematically. There must be a kind of router arcane and configurations Windows MS is kept secret. I had to go with TeamViewer in order to establish a connection with two different people. I prefer to use the native Windows tool instead, but it seems to be irretrievably broken.

UPnP is active. Allowed in Win Firewall remote assistance. Port 3389 is forwarded.

Is there a way to make this feature work? Current routers support same Easy Connect?

Well, Yes and Yes, to answer my own questions. After finding that my Win7 laptop will begin the Easy Connect process successfully, I have determined to dig around and look at the differences in configuration between her and my capricious office.

Network and sharing Center > change advanced sharing options (the left pane) > Public > public folders sharing - on the mobile turn on sharing so anyone... has been verified. On my desktop, turn off public folder sharing has been verified at the place. After you change this a parameter on the desktop, as magically easy Connect started working - my office is now the "peer-to-peer" network when try the Easy Connect option. I was easily able to use my laptop to "ask" the help of RA of my office via Easy Connect and vice versa. Would work before. I could not try a RA session to another computer across the net and behind his own router yet, but I suspect it will work now as the other computer and router are the appropriate settings.

Edit: And I can tell that a D-Link DIR628 works with Easy Connect, so most of the others probably do, as D-Link is not something special.

  • How can I get the Easy Connect feature in Windows Remote Assistance to work?

I am using the Easy Connect feature in Windows Remote Assistance and he tells me that he 'could not connect on the peer-to-peer network. Both computers are running Windows 7, but I don't even get the chance to say even the computer that I want to. I'm not on a corporate network and the Easy Connect function works fine on three other computers on my home network, including two run Home Premium and other professionals, so it may not be a problem with my router. My computer works professional. I tried to use it on wireless and wired. My computer, as well as others, I tried it on, use Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Firewall. Among the computers on which I tried it as well as mine works µTorrent. All computers run Fomine NetSent GUI. Two of the other computers I've tried on and my own running LogMeIn. I checked the Remote Assistance settings on my computer and it is allowed. I don't know what else might be able to do this!

    Hi compounded,

Thanks for posting on Microsoft Community.

I appreciate your efforts to try to solve this problem.

I'm sorry to know that Easy Connect does not work and it seems that there is a problem with the connection to the peer name resolution server.

In peer-to-peer environments, peers are based on name resolution systems to resolve each and other locations (addresses, protocols, and ports) from names or other types of identifiers network. Peer-to-peer name resolution has been complicated by transient connectivity and shortcomings in the domain name system (DNS).

Peer-to-Peer networking platform solves this problem with the PNRP Peer Name Resolution Protocol (), a secure, scalable, and dynamic name registration.

  • Unable to connect using easy connect or email invitation

I'm having a problem connecting with Easy Connect. I had no problem when I lived in Orlando and helped my mother with her computer. She would tap the Easyconnect connection to me, and I would click on him and had NO PROBLEM. Now, I moved to Texas and tried several times to connect and cannot. I don't get the unable to connect due to errors in hand to hand, but it sits there and plays as is hunting for her, but does not connect. I even tried with enamel and got the same results. I was wondering if my router has been a problem, but used my another laptop as host and connected within one minute to each other. Is there a problem here or is true to his bad rep Microsoft?

I can't think of anything. I know that his machine has not changed configurations as I'm the one who does this.

  • "Remote Desktop connection has stopped working" problem on Windows 7.

When I try to connect to one of my Windows 2003 servers from my Windows 7 Ultimate pc, I get an error:
"Remote Desktop connection has stopped working". It has something to do with the NLAapi.dll. If I rename this dll, TS works very well. I used the dll from another computer running Windows 7 RC and it works too, but in one of these two cases, while it corrects the TS connection, it causes other errors, maily with the network and sharing Center. Long story short, I think that there is a bug with nlaapi.dll. I can connect properly to my boxes of Windows XP SP3 servers. I ran all the updates on my 2 k 3 box, but still does not work.

  • Remote Assistance error: "Easy connect, not available.

Original title: easy Remote Assistance connect will not work

I have 2 systems of windows 7 on a local network using Qwest PK5000 modem-router.  Both systems are connected via the home network and share files between them very well and there is only 1 active network.

If I run the MSRA command on the 64-bit computer and select easily connect using the option "help somebody", the system displays the security code for the other system to use or "invite".

On the 32-bit machine when I try either options it goes to the "easy connect, not available.  Network Diagnostics has found no problem, but if I try to access the Internet connectivity evaluation tool I can't in the tool.  It says at the bottom "IE6 is required" and nothing happens.   So I don't know if the PK5000 was the Peer Name Resolution Protocol on it or not.  Qwest or Actiontec will not respond to the request.  I guess it's OK if the 64, but the machine would not immediately come with the password to use on the other machine.  The command ipconfig/all look the same on both machines. Furthermore, both systems are (Inspiron 580) and DELL (XPS 420).

Please give me more advice on this problem.

    Problem solved!

  • MCE IR remote stops working when connected via Remote Desktop Win7

I recently added an IR remote for my computer to Windows 7 (32 bit Ultimate) that I use mainly for playback of mp3. The remote control is only an AVS Gear MG-IR01BK Windows Vista/Window7 MCE Remote control infrared works by attached USB "infrared transceiver eHome.  When I physically connect the machine IR remote works perfectly; as soon as I connect via remote IR Office stops responding.  I had to configure the Audio remotely to RDP to get this to work correctly, but I can't find any setting that controls in response to the infrared remote control.  My quest for answers has turned up nothing so far, someone has suggested?

Thanks for the suggestion.  At thegreenbutton.com behavior that I have reported was confirmed by others (the MCE Remote control is a HID device, so is related to the "console"). VNC is a viable alternative to remote desktop. I ended up using TightVNC (RealVNC purchase required for support of Windows 7), and the infrared remote control continues to work when I access the machine via the VNC viewer.   I want to remote desktop could provide this capability, but at least I have a working with VNC solution.

    Hello

See the link support entirely, the page which you referred it self says 'this chapter describes how to configure the connectivity information for client connections to the database server'. If the Client is required.

Clients can connect to a database using easy connect server name if the following conditions are met:
-Oracle Database 10 g Net Services software installed on the client.
-Support for the oracle TCP/IP on the client and the database server protocol
-No functionality requiring a more advanced connect descriptor is required

Everything is there in the Document ORACLE.

I wish that you perform a scan of System File Checker-

Windows easy transfer will not work.  I get the message: "migwiz.exe - point of entry not found.  How can I fix it?

    Hi PTTimothy

    1. what operating system is installed on the computer?

    2. you are the administrator of the computer?

I suggest you to check and to provide us with the information about the installed operating system.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/help/which-version-of-the-Windows-operating-system-am-i-running

    Step 1:

You can open the administrator and verify if you can open Windows Easy Transfer correctly.

You can even check if you face the same question in the user account different or new user account.  You can create a new user account on your computer, and then check.

    Create a new user account-
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/create-a-user-account

    Step 2:

An analysis of the SFC and audit-
    a. click Start, click programs, on Accessoriesprincipally made, right click guestand then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow
    b. type the following command and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow
A message appears indicating that "the system scan will start. Be patient because the scan can take some time.
    c. If all files require a SFC replace will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Win7 DVD for this process to continue.
    d. If everything is correct you should, after the scan, see the following message "resource protection Windows not found any breach of integrity".
    e. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

Check the link below for further guidance on scan SFC - mentioned
