If you have installed "Cumulative Update for Internet Explorer for Windows XP (KB912812)", which was not included in Windows Update for Windows XP SP2, a script error may occur when you print or preview pages using Canon Easy-WebPrint.

Control Panel > printers & faxes folder

Right-click on the printer icon and select open

Do you see pending print jobs?

Click file > cancel all Documents

Close the print queue

Start > type services.msc

Scroll down to print spooler

Right-click on print spooler

Select Properties

Click on stop

Wait for Windows to stop the print spooler

Close Services window

Start > right click on computer

Select manage

Select Device Manager

Click on the + sign next to the Ieee... Compatible printers

Right-click on the driver and select uninstall

Click on the + sign next to imaging devices

Right-click on the driver and select uninstall

Click on the + sign next to printers

Right-click on the driver and select uninstall

Click on the + sign next to Bus USB controllers

Right-click on the driver and select uninstall

Close the Device Manager

Shutdown computer

Turn the printer off

Unplug the printer from the computer unit

Unplug the printer

Leave the printer turned off and unplugged for about 5 minutes

Plug the printer back in taken unit and pc

Turn on the printer

Restart the computer

Windows will reinstall the drivers on reboot

Once the loading of Windows, back to services and restart the print spooler

Try printing again

    What happens when you try?  Make sure you drag the icon image and not the text of the name.

    If it still doesn't work there are some registry changes that can try to alleviate the problem.  But because the changes to the registry are tedious and dangerous, I recommend to leave the system to repair it for you.  Here's how:
    1. Type of restore in the search box of the start menu to find and open to restore system files and settings from a restore point.
    2. Click Next, choose a date before the problem started, then click Next once more.
    • This process only takes around 2 minutes and only restores your system files/settings: it will not affect any of your files, documents, photos, emails, or anything else.
    If the system restore does not resolve the problem try this to replace missing or corrupted system files.  Here's how:
    1. Type cmd into the start menu search box, and then press Ctrl-Shift-Enter to launch as administrator.

    Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
    ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and

    There is no reason why the iMac should not be able to use a USB mouse. With the mouse connected to the computer off the computer tower and turn it back on. Now it doesn't recognize the mouse? If this is not the case, try a SMC reset.

    Ah, you see AVAST there under the issuer of certificate?

    Your Avast security software is intercepting your navigation to filter threats. In order to filter connections secure, Avast creates these false certificates and presents them to your browser. Since Firefox uses a certificate from Safari, Firefox should be set up to trust in Avast to generate these certificates.

    Now... in theory, Avast is supposed to update Firefox automatically when you go outside and start it again. I guess you left Firefox since this problem started, but, if not, that give a try.

    If this does not work, you or a volunteer will have to search the steps to get the Avast signing certificate in Firefox.

    Plan C would be to get the old file cert8.db file old data of Firefox on your desktop and it transplanted into your current Firefox profile. You must already have been put in place to work with Avast.

    Weird problem.

    I have two PC hooked up to the same router, a BEFSR41. Both connect to internet just fine. You can access the page of configuration/admin to the router fine. On the other, however, the router asks you a user name and p/w, but the configuration screen never loads. I get the message "Loading" eternal, but it never gets there.

    Attempted fixes:

    Factory reset

    Firmware update

    Reinstall the NETWORK card

    Pass the CAT5 cable

    Switch port

    Cycle of modem, router and power PC

    Disable the firewall and AV

    Tried two different browsers

    Login ID and p/w is not incorrect, without typos. I done this 20 times less than today.

    I am writing to the PC with the question, while there are of course traffic and communication with the router. And I'll say it again, I get to the login screen every time.     (2) why is the 2nd PC on the same network can access the router configuration screen, even with AVG Surf-Shield active and running? The only difference is that the PC with the problem solved now rolls AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition v9.0.698 and the PC that never had a problem running v8.5.425. It's curious because both computers have the same version of the virus database and the same version of LinkScanner (145). Remember that this is a component of LinkScanner causing the problem, so that both computers have the same version of LinkScanner is particularly weird.
